BTW, Tonnie (Catecrew), are you out there? I know you're in San Diego. I hope you and all those you love are out of harm's way and haven't lost anything. Check in with us if you can so we know how you all are doing

Thanks for checking up on me. Yes we are fine. No lossess here, it burned to the north & south of us. I was mentally preparing to evacuate. Places were evacuated up to about 4 miles from us, but luckily we were okay. At least we didn't lose power this time. 4 years ago we lost power for about 4 days. The kids were out of school all week AND they couldn't go outside until about about Thursday. Talk about stir crazy. They just went back to school today. The school has them on "rainy day" schedule (no outside) all this week too because of the air quality. I'm telling you, they really need to run around some.

Added Later:
Oh by the way we are also staying at the Hyatt MCO the night before & taking to ME to the terminal so you can add me to that list.

Ok I add this logo to my avatar. So you can just save picture as and next you go to avatar and click browse to upload pic. Now it says that the procedure failed each time I did it, but it still shows up. As long as the avatar is 100 X 100 pixels or smaller it will be find. So the small logo we are using at the end of our tickers works.

Just back and thank you!!!

Hello everyone! Just back from Anaheim - great conference - didn't have time to see the Mouse, but went to see Wicked in Hollywood! Great performance - if you get the chance, see it!! Awesome performance - it's on Broadway, too!

I see there are umpteen pages to catch up on, so going to say goodnight now! I'll catch up tomorrow!

I dont think I can say Im jealous enough LOL you sure know how to vacation :thumbsup2 ... Need to tell E about this one and see if I can finaly talk him into just doing a few days of the world after the Double dip. He's dragging his feet on this idea!

Not sure if you have the flexibility or not, but I found that the resort rates went up the week AFTER our cruise. They're at Value Rates the week before. So maybe that will help...tell him "Hon, I SAVED us money!" :lmao: Going before may also help you adjust to the time zone change for the week of the cruise. :)

Thanks for checking up on me. Yes we are fine...

Oh I'm so glad to hear from you! I thought about you guys again this weekend. Hang in there....I know that running around time won't come soon enough.

Oh yea...thanks for the hotel update! The Hyatt MCO crowd is growing!

What we are considering is doing 1 week at WDW and then two cruises. Still three weeks....

That's still great!!

Hello everyone! Just back from Anaheim - great conference....

Welcome home, Tammie!

I am so glad that you are OK. I hope the reports that the worst is over is true. I lived in San Diego for a number of years when I was young adult. My X was a navy man. Loved it but can't afford to move back. I will continue to keep everyone in my prayers.

I will add you to the list I need to start. As we get closer I will ask folks to PM me and we will plan a short meet most likely early on that Saturday morning to get breakfast in the airport mall before we all sign up for that 1st bus to the port. I am thinking about 7:30 in the lobby then we can decide where we want to go to eat. I know they have several fast food places that would be faster and cheaper. However I am open to any other options that might be suggested. I am also open to getting with folks that Friday night provided it is not too late.

Just can't wait!!!!! Lois

Quick update from us:

1. Fiona is once again getting better. Some time last night her fever broke. Right now she's talking in her sleep beside me, which is pretty cute, but baffling. I have no idea what she's saying.

2. DH's professor okayed DH's other proposal for his thesis, so the cruise website won't be what he gets course credit for. It also slows down the timeline to implementation, because the heavy lifter is occupied surviving his full-time job and online class. As I've said before, the URL is bought for 2 years, so we're fine there.

3. FatherForce, thank you for the links.

4. Catecrew, sooooo glad you guys are ok. Denver's now getting smoke from your fires, which is just frightening. That's a long way to have smoke travel.

And I'm off... Fiona's demanding "celeal."

From 2:00 - 8:00???? ONLY??? Man, I would love to be a kid in your neighborhood! Six hours of candy collecting....whoa!

Surprisingly, ours is Wednesday. I'm in a more secluded area, so I don't get many critters :sad1: . Because of the low numbers, however, I'm passing out these really cool orange straws with 3-D ghosts and skulls on them along with the candy. :thumbsup2

Enjoy the fun!

Ours is always a day early because we have one of the Biggest Halloween Parades every year on the 31st, unless it is a Sunday..

This year it is the 70th Anniversary :cheer2:

Just thought I'd share a Picture of the Candy Train that deliveries the Goodie bags to the awaiting Ghosts & Gobblins

Along the same lines....my CafePress order for 2 t-shirts and 2 journals has not moved out of Production status nor have I received any emails of concern from them. I placed my order on 10/13. For those of you who have experience with CP, do you find this wait normal? Maybe its my imagination, but I thought Erik's order when through more quickly....albeit I have journals, too.

I placed my first Cafepress order about a month ago, and since, have placed 2 more orders. They are usually sent out within 2 days, and arrive within one week, so you might want to re-check on that one.

That is really neat. I love the train as well. I live about 25 minutes from the "Halloween Capital of the World" it is Anoka Minnesota. They have a pretty big parade there as well.

We don't get many trick or treaters here so we are handing out full size candy bars this year.

Ohhh Lookie at our count down....

10 Months, 3 weeks, 6 days.. No more 11 months !!

:dance3: :dance3:

We are getting closer and closer to single digit months :cheer2:

I don't know how to do the multiple quote thing, so I'l just post a few comments.

We don't get any trick or treaters. More candy for me!:rolleyes1

We will be at WDW in December too. 5 weeks from today will be our first day in the parks. We will be staying at Pop Century from the 3rd to the 10th. We board the Carnival Fascination on the 10th for a western Caribbean cruise and then we stay offsite for a few more days of WDW. We will be driving from Kansas with a 5 year old. I hope the weather holds out and winter doesn't set in until we get back.

I knew I missed a comment. I would love to have all that furniture to put together. I love doing that kind of thing. It's almost as much fun as sewing. We have 5 grown kids and 6 grandkids and my husband has never assembled a crib or even set up a Pack n Play. I get to do it.

5 weeks from today we will be getting on the plane, we will be at BCV Dec 5-10 :cool1:

you must be in TR?? if so, going to the parade? we are in jackson.

we were there last night trick or treating. it was nice, now we can go to our friends house tonight for their party.

Heyyyyy! We'll be at WDW from Dec. 3-6 too! We're staying at Caribbean Beach.

We already had planned a January 4 night trip with my older stepdaughter because she has a long weekend out of school (she's not homeschooled). Then the more we talked, we were missing the Disney Christmas scene, so we booked a quick trip to get our fill of December Disney :)
