Well, Fiona doesn't get to go trick or treating (peanut allergy), so I set out a bowl of candy on the porch with the light off so -hopefully- the dog would stop going off on the trick or treaters and freaking out the baby. Yeah, well, the trick or treaters took the candy AND the bowl.

Nice huge Pyrex bowl. The one I use for making cakes.
I have no interest in this holiday anymore. Fiona had fun at her day care with her fall festival, but I'm just not into the kids going door to door. The porch light was OFF and yet parents were urging their kids to knock or ring the doorbell. I called my neighbor to tell her about the bowl missing, and she said the teenagers were hitting the streets without costumes or bags--just holding their hands out! But hey, she'd only been egged once last week, so she was doing better than the previous years!
So, yeah, if you see a teenager wandering around with a huge clear Pyrex bowl because they don't have a bag to carry their loot in, tell them to bring it back to my house.

I'm taking this as an opportunity to buy a nice mixing bowl with a sturdy handle to replace the one I just lost on a $10 bag of candy!
