Yeah!!! I can see that the CC line will be out the door!!!!:lmao:

The terminal opens at 10, but I don't think you can board until 11 or 12.

You're right about the line out the door. Over the past few years we've taken the DCL bus to the terminal. When we arrived the regular line was short, only a few people. But, the CC line was like a snake, there had to be 100 people waiting for 2 CM. UGH!!! We arrived at 1:00 and it took almost a half hour to move through the check-in line, then another half hour to board. It let us about an hour to eat before the food shut down. The only benefit, the rooms were open and we could drop off our bags.

I thought it was 11am or 12pm and Cabins ready by 1:30pm :confused3

anyone else getting a little bit nervous with all these storms? 2 more in the wings waiting for us.. :headache:

Stacy - the terminal usually opens around 10 and I believe they start the check-in process shortly after. However, boarding the ship usually begins around 11:45 or 12 noon.

I want all these storms to come through over the next couple of weeks and get it out of their system! :thumbsup2

NERVOUS WRECK:scared1: I am obsessed with watching the weather channel!

Can you say Trip Insurance? Anyone? I'm getting quotes!

Since I work in TV I have WX at my disposal. Here's the very latest as of 8:26this morning...

Hanna just went to a Tropical Storm, should rebound to a Hurricane. Ike is a Tropical Storm 1400 miles from the Bahamas. Tropical Depression 10 (would become Josephine) could form sometime today. Oh Happy Joy!:scared1:

anyone know where to get a print head?

It would probably be quicker (and quite possibly cheaper), certainly easier... to just get a whole new printer. Was the drink good???

LOL! Hey, as the mom of a 6½yo and a 3yo, I'm no stranger to that kind of noise - there's really no racket in the world quite like two wild kiddos in a house with hardwood floors throughout. :lmao: I'll thwap the ceiling with a hairbrush if y'all get too out of control. ;)

We'll be on our best behavior!!;)

Anyway, what time does the terminal open for check in? I seem to recall 10AM. Is that correct? Just want to me sure we get there extra early!

Crissi

10:00 on the DOT.
They won't even let you in the parking lot before that. But if you get dropped at the curb......:rolleyes1

Heh. Last year we were so bad. Ron stood in the CC line (first) and I stood in the regular line (first). I wasn't about to let anyone past us. Eventually I gave up patrolling the regular line and sure enough they called that person before us (we were called right after). That was a 3 night Wonder though, so I wasn't exactly running people over. I would be willing to bet some of this group might camp out the night before! (who, me?)

If it is quiet enough in the terminal (not likely in the case of our cruise) you can hear the music come on when the CM's come out to staff the check in windows. The song playing is...of course..."Heigh Ho, Heigh ho, it's off to work we go" I thought that was so cute!

I am anxiously awaiting my delivery. I will let you all know if the
FE gifts survived!

Hi everyone! One more day closer to the cruise!!! I can't wait!

It's back to school day around here so the science center where I work is pretty quiet today...for the most part. Should be this way for a several weeks.

I'm so excited for the cruise and the trip to WDW, but I"m so nervous to fly! Ask my DBF and MagicMe and they will both tell you that I'm scared to fly! Any suggestions to make it easier?

My understanding is if you want the CC gift you have to stay in the CC line.

Any one have any experience to offer?

I don't think so....maybe someone else can clarify/correct if I'm remembering wrong....but the castaway gift has always been delivered to our cabin by our stateroom attendant during the cruise on our past trips. There is a small gift (like a lanyard and a pin or something) that you get at check-in....but the actual Castaway Club gift (in the past it's been things like a beach bag, a money-holder, etc.) has always been delivered directly to our stateroom.

Two years ago we got told to go to the regular line because the CC line was sooo long. The CM handed us our gifts, lanyard and pins. Not a problem in that case.

Question... has anyone done concierge level? What gifts are sent to the stateroom each night? I'm curious!

The CC line in the past is where you got lanyards and pins...but they give those to you if you arte CC in any line. The main CC gifts will be waiting for you in your staterooms. The gifts in the room will not be the surprise though...they are supposed to refurbish/change the linens/spreads in the sterooms during drydock!

I'm curious about that, too. And .... doesn't concierge have a different check in line??

OK I was referring to the landyards.
I had read on the boards that several DIS members had to go back in line at the CC line to get the lanyards.

Are we declaring a FE start time.

I know several people do not often go to their rooms til the muster drill.
Good times in the Mickey Pool.

I would vote for say 7:00pm first day.

This allows time to get fully settled for everyone.

Opinions?
Suggestions?

Cats 1-3 have their own line for check in. :) You get to board first too if I am not mistaken. ( one of the many perks.)

You don't need their lanyard anyway....our DIS lanyards are way better!! :lmao: :lmao:

Actually, I'm just kidding....The CC lanyard is cool if you want the DCL logo and stuff....if you like to put pins on a lanyard then the CC is better, too, because it's wider, etc. So you probably want both....

....but our lanyards are definitely more unique and we'll feel very special because on a ship of however many people are aboard...only about 300 of us will have the DIS lanyards!! (Just as a "design note" our lanyards are intentionally thinner and of softer material so they're a bit more comfortable to wear...and our lanyards have a safety breakaway on them to keep people from choking!)

That's going to be my only lanyard because it's my first cruise! I can't wait to become a member of the CC because then I'll get the free gift too! LOL!!!

PINS!!! I think you get 4

That is 16 Trades!!!!

Anyone who does not want their pins I have two very eager pin traders.
Feel free to drop them in my FE. princess: princess:
