Did you see those (whatdo you call 'em?) sig link pics when they were slideshows? I had to change it or they would be giving people seizures! One of those things flashing is okay but two..and they wouldn't synch..it was bad! But it looks ok for now...until I have to make one for this cruise, then something will have to go (yep, there will be another ticker there by then, as we will be among the throngs swarming the re-book desk before Oct.1st!) Thanks for the inspiration and the help!

Soooo, I decided to start actually personalizing the thousands of graphics I have downloaded into magnets. My PSE6 trial had run out and I should just buy it (but I am cheep cheep...that's not a bird you hear) Well, actually I *will* buy it but to get the best deal you have to buy the actual disk through Amazon and to go through all that, and ship it...not enough time for that now. So I downloaded the trial of Photoshop Creative Suite ....wooooooooo. Big learning curve. And I now only have 30 (29 now) days to get them done.
So, my magnets may not look pretty. If you pass my doors and see Word Art, well you'll know why (Nothing against Word Art! )

Water is scarce, batteries are few far in between and all the Chocolate Devil Dogs seemed to have disappered...wonder if this is a connection...stay tuned..........

That is SO funny...how kids just say no & then decide that they DO want to participate!

When Reese was turning 4, he was adamant that he did NOT want a birthday party. No talking by Mommy or Daddy would convince him otherwise. He just wanted the grandparents to come to town & for us all to go bowling. "No friends party, Mommy."

Okaaaay....if you insist.

Four days before his birthday he says "When are my friends coming for my party?"
He was three & didn't remember our prior conversation. Luckily, we have some awesome friends in our homeschool CoOp who are up for a day of swimming anytime! So we invited his friends over, I whipped up a pirate cake:

from a recipe in Family Fun magazine & he had a "pirate party." And since we already had weekend plans with the grandparents, he had TWO birthday parties! Maybe that was his plan all along....

WOW that is one AMAZING cake what kid wouldn't love that.

Oh if you like Pirate stuff Gymboree just came out with a new Pirate line it is very cute. The whole store goees 30% off on Thur. for freinds and family. You shouldn't need a email or coupon but if you want one let me know

Gasp! No devil dogs! IT'S WORSE THAN THEY ARE TELLING US!

The funny thing is, when I was at Publix the other night, the lady in front of me scoffed at my water. She said "hurricane shopping already?" like I was a total moron. I'm too polite sometimes, because I wanted to tell her that not only was I only stocking up on a few items, because we actually start prepping every year during the tax-free time (2004 taught us a valuable lesson), but that she shouldn't come crying to me on Tuesday morning when every store in Central Florida has run out of D batteries.

Now I am really sorry I didn't sign up for the F/E. Guess I will miss out on the scrapbooks. I wish I was only a year behind. I have something laying on my computer desk I stamped out saying "Look who's two" I was going to put an album together. He turned 4 in April. It has been there that long and I see it every day reminding me just how behind I truly am.

Ok...I'm in the same boat. I LOVE to scrap but hello my child is now 4 and the only reason his baby book is done is because I worked a trade with someone who wanted a formal sewn....I sewed for her, she scrapped for me. Little man wants to 'help' everytime I pull everything out and he doesn't want to help on a sheet of his own....nnnnooooooo he wants the same page that mommy is working on.

Today was a BEAUTIFUL day... Not a cloud in the sky.. Not too hot not too breezy... I assume this is what they mean when they same.. The calm Before the storm..

I still have not heard from my brother or his wife.. I left them a message but I assume they are busy preparring for Fay's arrival with the rest of Key West.. If residents get evacuated, I may have some guests.. I told him, the house is free range for family, friends and pets..

At this point, I don't know if I will make it out of here Tuesday night or not but I would like to get back to NJ asap so I can see my friend and her grandma who is still hanging on at the current moment ..

I keep checking in here to make sure all our DIS friends are OK!

And call me a moron...but what happened in 2004 to teach such a big lesson? I mean, OK, hurricane, but was it a bad one or a first? Sorry I don't remember....I'm deep in the heart of Texas and hurricane news seems so far away!
