Are you doing a back-to-back so you can go to Nassau also? That would fun to extend your trip!

Zantac works as another antihistamin as well. I've actually had an allergiest tell me to do this when have an environmental allergy. it REALLY works.

Yeah, that sleep isn't happening... I'm tempted to slip her more Benadryl.

The doc said the Zantac acted as another anti-histamine, but I'm too sleep-deprived to catch on why. I'm hung up on the fact that it is used primarily for acid reflux. I'll research it when I can work simple machines properly... it took 3 reboots of my laptop to get it working (PEBKAC), and 4 times calling into my conference call to connect.

That's really cool - I learned something today! We (GSK) make Zantac & I had no idea it would work as an anti-histamine. I looked up the prescribing leaflet & there it was: ZANTAC is a competitive, reversible inhibitor of the action of histamine at the histamine H2-receptors, including receptors on the gastric cells.

I wonder if Fiona was given this since it sounds like she had GI symptoms as part of her allergic reaction.......
I do have allergy to garlic, but its a GI response I get, not a systemic 'hives' type thing. Zantac seems to help w/the allergic response I get from that.

AHHHHHH Disney General Codes came out but i cant call cuz my clients keep calling me UGGGGGGG darn work is getting in my way of applying a code that could save me aprox $200 with room at pop, tix for 3days and dinning. Wish me luck I can do it on my break. Or I may just have to tell my boss I have disney vacation stuff I need to take care of hold all my calls LMAO Im SURE he wont mind at all.. lol

So, I decided to surprise the family with MNSSHP and then it snowballed into a complete change in our plans

We are still flying in on Thursday morning, but now we are taking the Magical Express too.........Disney Caribbean Beach Resort (Thanks Fatcat!) They have a great Pirate themed pool/waterpark that will be opening right before we arrive. I decided not to go to any of the Disney Water Parks because there isn't enough for Chase/DS3 to do there. So, swimming and relaxing at C.B.R. on Thursday and MNSSHP on Friday Then a limo on Saturday morning to take us to the port. All of this is a surprise by-the-way. I am way too excited!

Thanks for all the well wishes. Alex is getting surgery on Aug. 28th since no one wants to do lipotripsy on him around here. The urologist was quite unhappy. When he said surgery, I said (bad parent that I am) "oh no, we have a Disney cruise scheduled the end of September. How long until he'll recover from the surgery?" Doctor says he'll be okay in plenty of time.

This thread is like a trauma ward. Sick kids, broken toes, mystery conditions... Maybe they should just quarantine the entire ship ahead of time.

Oh, and by the way, when DH and I have passed loopy, we re-write the lyrics to songs... "We Are Family" became "We Are Insanity" a little while ago... I couldn't stop laughing hysterically for a good 5 minutes.

Brandie--I am so glad she is feeling okay now It is so very scary when you baby is taht sick About the Zantac--I am not really sure how it all works, but I do know when Rio's allergies act up (major trigger for his asthma so we are learning) most allergy meds don't really help--but Tagamet does I am just happy something works (nothing is ever noraml abotu my kids). Oh, and we rewrite songs all the time. It is very fun.
