We are paid in full and went from a Cat 11 then paid to upgrade to a Cat 9 GTY and got assigned a Cat 6 handicap as my mother has some mobility and balance issues.

D

Congratulations on your upgrade. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Fizzgig ~ Sorry for asking this question, but I can't help myself any longer.........WHAT is that laughing thing in your signature?????:confused3

OOOOH...I'll answer for her!! That laughing thing IS Fizzgig!! No, not the woman making the posts....it's Fizzgig---a character from the film "The Dark Crystal." Fizzgig was the female gelfling's pet (I am pretty sure her name was Kira or Kiri or something like that....she was the paler one with the white-blonde hair who was orphaned and raised by the podlings).

2 Goofy-
We were looking at native way....would this be a charter with them or one of their scheduled trips? What would the time frame be....it would be myself, DW, and our 5 yo DD.....

This would be one of their scheduled trips. It is from 9:00-12:15 and we get to GC at 7:45 and leave at 4:30. That should give us plenty of time to do something else after the excursion if we choose like just stroll around. If you are interested let me know and we will see if we can round up four more interested. It would be me, DH and DS (4 yr old)

How about that! I've been thinking all along it was a laughing Ground Hog and couldn't figure out why......:rolleyes1

Thanks for answering.

Danke, Erik! :) Fizzgig was throwing a hissy fit for not getting to go along, not laughing. :) Pretty darn cute to me.

Hi, Monisa.
I think this would be fine w/us. We don't pay until we're on the excursion anyway. We already have a confirmed reservation w/them so if you & others would like to add on to ours, I can email Sharon again. (We were originally going to do their RRR tour, but changed to the other.) We're a party of 3 - me, DH, DD (5). It would be nice I think to have several little ones around the same age. Sounds like its 2 5 year old girls & 1 4 year old boy thus far.

Hey, jjgarv:
Let me know if this is good w/you.

Thanks!

Anyone else care to join? Please send me a pm so it doesn't get lost on the board.

I remember seeing that movie. I think I'll have to watch it again since I don't remember all the creatures in it. :)

QOTW:

me: Grey's Anatomy, Alias (I'm so sad its no longer on the air), So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing With the Stars, MASH, Nascar races (esp when they're on Fox)

DH: just about anything on SciFi channel (I make him watch the dancing shows w/me though, poor guy - somebody needs to buy him a :drinking1)

DD: Hannah Montana, Suite Life, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, almost all other Disney Channel programs

I think people do take sandwhiches off at times. I know I have heard several people say they do this to save money in port. That said--it is illeagal to do so in most ports. You CAN legally take anything which is prepackaged and still in its original unopened package (also water bottles are fine). Food that is not prepacakaged or has been opened cannot be legally taken off the ship (in most countries). This is done to prevent the spread of various crop disesases and bugs and the like. While you are highly unlikely to be caught taking something off, I do not like to risk it (nor the local crops). If you really want to take something off to at least snack on (or if you or a child has allergies and you want something you know is safe) I reccomend finding prepackaged things on the buffet such as chips, cereal boxes, etc. and take those with you.

Oh, and yes you may take a small soft sider cooler onboard (unless they have changed the rules recently). Personally we have never found the need for one but I see them with others always on embarkation day.

Edited to add: Upon rereading this it sounds like I am being critical of you asking the question. Please know that I am not at all. I know many, many people recomend taking lunch off the ship and most do not know the leaglity of it and the thought probably never corssed their minds that it could be illeagal (goodness it is just packing a lunch after all--we all do that pretty regularly at home don't we?). I think there is nothing wrong at all with having asked or not having know the above information and I just wanted to let you know to be on the safe side. :-)

Thank you for the post. I kept hearing bring one, then some people say don't.. :confused3 Oh and no, I didn't think you were being critical just answering a question :-)

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I just found out that the break won't require surgery! He just needs to eat a soft diet.
Glad your dad is okay and doesn't need surgery.

LOL.. I wondered what that thing was too! My kids always see it and want me to turn it back and they start laughing. :rotfl:

I was on mousesavers.com today just because I like to see what deals I can find. I found a discount for room only rates on WDW hotels for late summer stays (that includes end of September). I ended up saving $31.50 off of our room at the Contempoary for Friday night before the cruise! :yay: It's not a lot, but that's more money for drinks of the day!:drinking1

The code is DDH.

Hope this helps someone! :dance3:

Hi - Just wanted to mention that we booked the Stingray, Reef, & Startfish tour a couple of weeks ago... we'll have our 4 year old son with us. I'm not sure if they'd consider us as part of 'the group'. Regardless, it looks like it should be fun.

This is just a quick post to happily say I have Marika back!!!! 5 weeks was an awfully long time for me-- I missed her. She loves her new room and is happily playing "Harry Potter Clue" (kudos to Erik for causing Rio to fall so much in love with this game that we had to find it used on amazon:rotfl2: :thumbsup2 ) with Rio (I love that they missed each other too).

Kimberly as you know now I AM a worrier:rotfl: . SO, uh can you just post something quick to tell us you made it home all right and you can give us all the details of your FUN weekend later?!?!?:goodvibes

Brandie--okay I admit to being too lazy to log in on the website :flower3: what were the results of the poll for when/where we will have our meet (trying to plan how/when to hand out lanyards here:rolleyes: )

FIVE weeks? Wow, I didn't realize it had been five weeks. I bet you're glad you have your munchkins home! Glad everyone is safe & sound together again:cool1:

Hey guys, I've heard from Kimberly. She's tied up with work.

Hadley, here's the link to the poll results: Here

Only 28 people have voted, but currently, Deck 10 before the party is in the lead.

I know I don't get onto the other site often...but I did go look at the poll results and tried to cast my vote....but it won't let me vote. I'm logged in and I can see the poll questions and when I click on them I can see the current results...but there is on link or button for me to actually cast my vote.....(oops....I'm editing this now....i did find the place to cast a vote...so I voted)

....but I'll cast my vote publicly here for Deck 10. I have been on the boat during freezing windy sprinkly weather and they still had the sailaway party....so i can hardly imagine what conditions would cause them to cancel it :lmao: .....and if there is a sailaway party I'll be at it.....I never miss all the fun dancing and screaming and bubble blowing up on deck!! :cool1: :cool1:
