Hey that was me talking about the Kick A$$ drink Tropical Depression.

Unless Charlie mentioned it before....Great minds do think alike.

Charlie can I borrow your camera the my anniversary night? :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1
Will not need that many minutes of film or battery power.:yay: :yay:

SOunds like a plan......:hippie:

Does anyone have the late dinner seating? This is our first cruise with that seating and it has us a little concerned (DD-6 and DS-3). We are hoping to change it when we get onboard. Just in case we can not, are there any benefits to late seating with kids? We would like to have dinner with them at least on formal night and pirate night.

We are second seating for the moment as well... We've been waitlisted for first for almost a year!

On our first cruise (DD was 3) we had 2nd seating, and it seemed to work ok. DD still had energy to go to the club. Though, our tablemates were probably the best we've ever had, and our daughters clicked right away.

I'm trying not to stress about having late seating this time... DH says it might work out better... we can go to the show and then do our usual dinner/post dinner routine... before we would just skip the shows most nights. I am concerned about DD (now 6) getting hungry (aka cranky) but DH says we'll just make sure to have a snack and a nap each afternoon.

We ALWAYS eat dinner together, so it's a big deal for her to be awake enough to eat with us. It's just something we do and have always done. Even on Palo night we go to dinner with her, she eats, we have an appetizer, and then go to dinner at Palo... Dunno how that will work this time around, I think our Palo seating is earlier than our dinner time. :)

Anyway, hope that takes some of the worries out of it... I'm still not sure if I"ll brave the line to switch in Rockin' Bar D.

Hello everyone! I'm new to posting so bear with me.
My DH and I would love to join the Palo Friday 6:00pm dinner group if there are any spots open.
Reading all your posts this past week has really really really gotten me excited about this trip. Can't wait to meet all of you.

WELCOME! :)

LOL!!!! And a few more 'choice' D words ......
:) :confused3

We have late seating with a 3 1/2 year old. We will play it by ear the first night or two. If he acts up, we plan on pre-ordering his meals the night before. That way he can get his dinner right away, as we eat our appetizers, and then one of us will run him over to the kid's club so we can finish our meal in peace. :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone!

I don't mean to interrupt your conversations, but I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Dorothy, and I'm a first-timer who is traveling with Anthony, my husband, and Juliana and Taylor, our 12-year-old twin daughters. I'm also traveling with Charlie (aka Videoman), which is how I found you all here. In fact, Charlie and Barbara have been fabulous to us; they have planned everything for us. I think the only thing we did on our own was get our passports! We wouldn't have a clue if it weren't for them. Having said that, I see that many of you have some interesting info and great advice to offer, too. We are all really excited, but I am getting nervous about the prep and packing as I am not the most organized person . . .

Anyway, all of you sound so fun and friendly. I am really looking forward to meeting all of you. I will be the one with the long, curly, (I think it will be more like frizzy there) red hair with a drink in her hand following Charlie and Barbara around the ship (or, Charlie, should I say to the bar?).

Looking forward to seeing you,
Dorothy
Welcome Dorothy! :wizard: Glad you joined us!

Okay....I admit it. I just broke down in tears.

So remember the baby shower invites I was supposed to have done a few weeks ago... Yeah, um, the shower is on Sunday, and I haven't done ANYTHING for it. Gah!!!
Just tell them, sorry, you were online & had cruise things to plan. :rolleyes1 I'm SURE they'll understand!:rotfl:

Welcome! Glad you joined us too! :wizard:

We had a big morning...the Great Wolf Lodge hotel/waterpark is about 20 minutes from our house, and our neighbor/best friends stayed there last night. So she listed myself & Reese as guests in her room and we joined them at the indoor waterpark this morning for about 5 hours. It was a BLAST! Reese fell asleep in the car on the way home in about 3 minutes :)

We have 4 people that would like to go if still available....(TDVER & VIDEOMAN)

You're still looking out for us, Chuck. Thanks! And thanks for the box of goodies you dropped off this morning!!! The girls just got home and already divided up the pins. We'd be lost w/out you and Barb!:flower3:

LOL!!!!! Your posts always make me laugh! I can't wait to meet you and your family in person! :)

Good point about not having to rush back from the ports. I like the idea about watching the early show with them too. Oh well! see how i feel the day of boarding. Anyways, only got room for PACKING on mind right now and have lots of it to do.

Dorothy,
I forgot to say that I'm a twin! I have an identical twin sister...she already had her cruise for the year so she's staying home and working like I did when she went on hers! :)

It must be something being identical! My girls aren't; yet, they often have that "twin thing" where they say/think the same things, etc. Do you and your sis have that? And can people tell you apart? Too bad your sister isn't going on this one, but at least she had her turn!

Dorothy and Nemontinksmom: seems we have a gaggle of 12 tweens
...We are a family of 4: DM 44, DH 45, DD 12, DS 10. Our daughter is not too shy, loved the club last visit when she was 8, actually like getting away from us and joining in activities that were more appropriate for her interest...seems haning by the pool with a fluffy drink was not her idea of vacation...that is why we are back ...got to love DISNEY...something for everyone

Wow, that's great! It's our first time, but from what Videoman's family tells us, I'm sure my girls will love the club, too. By the way, I'm 44, too, and the DH is 46, and I LOVE fluffy drinks--ANYWHERE--but by the pool sounds great to me!:cheer2:
Dorothy

You would not believe how many pm's I received. Dozens!!! I decided to be diplomatic picking the tablemates... I drew names out of a hat.

Not to hurt any feelings, if your name was pulled I pm you back.

I wish I knew earlier how much interest there would be, I would have book the room twice.

Time for me to go to bed!

We do have that 'twin thing' a lot. Last week, she had an ear infection and the next day I had pain in the same ear. She had knee surgery last month and I had pain in that knee. The twin thing can be freaky! :)

My DBF can tell us apart and most of our friends can, but some people (including my grandfather) can't, even if they have known us almost our entire lives. I've been at my dance studio for 26 years and my dance teacher still can't tell us apart. They call us Twin! :) I'll try to remember to bring a picture of the two of us along so you can see us together.

I'm travelling with my DBF, Dave, his DMom (she's MagicMe on here) and his DNana. This is the first Disney Cruise for both Dave and I and his first cruise ever! I've very excited to get on that ship! :)

Oooh my favorite cigars are on sale.

Rocky Patel Double Maduros.

Any other Cigar smokers???

And those cubans that you think you are going to get on the island?
They are not cubans with the exception perhaps if you goto the Habana House in Cozumel which is a sanctioned dealer.

I always find it humerous when there are a bunch of guys in the Quiet Cove commenting on how the cigars they are smoking are the best they have ever had. Sometimes they are actually good cigars (just not cubans) and sometimes they are basically AIR.

Is that what you are smuggling on board?

I am thinking i will bring "some" beer and captain morgan.
Then in cozumel I will pick up some tequilla.
Some for on board and some to take home.

The quiet cove actually does a decent pour. The shot glasses are about a ounce and a half. I am not sure how much you get if you get a nice brandy or cognac though as it would be in a snifter.

Mmmm Remy XO me likey likey ... me love long time

That is freaky. We have identical twin friends (men) who have the same kinds of experiences. I usually can tell them apart when they are together (one is slightly thinner) but not at all when I see only one of them. I'd love to see a picture. That's nice that you're traveling w/others. It is a first cruise for all of my family, but our friends have done the Disney cruise several times. I'm excited but worried about the packing!!!
