ROTFL!!!! I need to show that to my oldest ds. He got attacked by the crows at the little McDonald's place in MK one day. He was taking fries to our table and the birds attacked. We laughed ...... but he didn't. :confused3

LOL!!! That's not funny...yet it is!!! Was it back between Pirates and Splash Mountain? I know the seagulls are really bad back there sometimes.

You cant book the car for more than 24 hours, then the rate goes up, if you pick it up at 9am Fri you would need a return time of 9am Sat... this should work for you

P.S. got your PM, way cool:thumbsup2

Did you use a code or a certain site for that deal? I can't find the deal and now I'm not sure where the original post is you sent. Did you book from the airport?

Does anyone know for a fact if we can bring our rolling coolers on board....We plan on making a stop to purchase some wine on the way to the port and my one friend said she heard no coolers:confused3
I thought you can just as long as you don't have ice in them.

Here's what I ate for breakfast this morning....

Is it just me, or can I say maybe Kellogg's should have chosen a different hat for that character? :confused3 :rotfl2:
LMAO!! That is so funny!!

Just had to chime in too...we've used WeGoShop for years, and Marge is amazing at customer service!!! I would recommend them always!

So you have to know exactly what you want.. brands and everything? They don't have a list of items to choose from do they? This seems like a good idea, but I don't know if I would be able to think of the exact items I need without looking at them.. like snack type items.

wegoshop.com
I am mostly using it because I read you can have liquor/beer/wine delivered as well. Is this correct?

Just wanted to drop in a send a big THANK-YOU out to everyone who wished my good luck on my knee surgery:grouphug:

Glad to hear all went well! Sending pixiedust: your way for a speedy recovery!

We booked and canceled this years EB Panama Cruise. Would still like to do it with a trip to DL before and WDW after. There is also a thread about DCL going to Alaska! They have applied for a permit to one of the most sought after ports. No one knows when it will be but I guess not before the new ships are complete. Don't know what I want to do. Lois

Perhaps I will just sit back and save up my Pennies! How about a Back to Back PC and and Alaskan cruise ala DCL!

Aww thanks, but we probably won't be going in Dec '09 since we are sailing RCCL in Jan '10. Have a Konk Kooler for me!!!!!

Well, if you can't make it that's OK, but a DCL cruise just won't be the same with out you! That is since the only other 2 we've been on will be with you! :rotfl2:

Sorry I skimmed through this and did a double take since I did not know exactly what ya'll were speaking of waxing.....

(Your honorary Fat Cat moment of the day broght to you today by nenner1. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming)

:lmao:

Parents these days...Don't even know the gender of their kids.

:lmao:

SNOW??? oh yeah..that's the white stuff I've heard tell falls from the sky. *Sigh* that would be nice now and then.

Yes, Some snow sometime would be nice! Now watch we'll get 2 feet this year in one storm! :lmao:

I'll never catch up with all the chatting you all have done since I went AWOL. Since we were close to not going, I decided to wean myself off the board... But doctor has given the okay to leave the country. No more surgery for Alex at this point, just the scheduled surgery when we get home. His drain is still draining, but they gave us waterproof bags so he can go to the beach and get wet (so the new splash area is Godsend to us), but not submerge in water. However, there's a good chance he'll be all better by the time we leave.

Julie - I'm glad things are improving and Alex will be able to have some fun in the splash area!

There was a post on the main board about calling to find out what movies will be showing.

Here are the movies for our cruise:

College Road Trip
Enchanted
National Treasure 2
Swing vote
Wall E

Possibly Miracle at Santa Ana

Crissi

When we were on the Wonder, "The Game Plan" was released and they had several "Special showings". DCL usually does play Disney movies on the ship the day they are released! At least I hope this is true. The kids and I are banking on it since I don't like to take them to movies at home because they are so expensive. They would have to wait until it was out on video so we could rent it through Net Flix. Grady even ordered the BHC book through Scholastic Book Club this month.

I got several things off my list today! All t-shirts with iron on's are done, folded neatly and ready to go. I've hung up our second rolling garmet bag and began filling it. The first one is the kids and it's full! :scared1:

I also finished adding room numbers and tags to all FE gifts! I ordered our Disney Rewards Card from our Chase Disney Visa card (I was told it should arrive by 8/20 - Perfect!)

Megan's Sleeping Beauty dress is 1/2 done, and I embroidered 12 Pillow cases.

Wow, with the kids in school all day I just seem to be able to focus on things and actually get them done! :rotfl:

I still need to drag the rolling duffle bags down from the attic. Oh, and clean the house for a party on Saturday - We've invited 50 of our closest friends over for a Seafood Boil! Yum!

Tiffany

I was trying to find some type of laundry detergent that is easy to pack. I saw this.
Have any of you tried it? http://washeze.com/how.php I also heard they had some tiny packets of detergent at Walmart. I think it's the size of the ones you use in the dishwasher.

I also found this site. You can print off a conversion chart so you don't get ripped off. :) http://www.oanda.com/convert/cheatsheet

Walmart... travel section or health and beauty... 99cents for a package of 3 tide detergent packages.. 1 load each...

Forgive me for being such a mom, but I almost forgot about this checklist item, and I don't want you guys to do the same.

Call the issuer(s) of any plastic you plan to use so they know you're traveling and charges will be coming from the Bahamas (DCL) and possibly Cozumel and Grand Cayman.

[ You may also want to add newspaper and postal mail holds to your checklists, too. :) ]

OMG P would love this.. He said he was so mad he cant see it when it premires since we will be on vacation.. GEE POOR kid... miss a movie or go on a cruise and to WDW... :confused3

hey if your planning on doing laundry can I give you mine.. light starch LMAO

why dont you just buy it once you get to Cocoa Beach? Stop at the Walmart or target there. Im sure they will have something in their travel section for $1. Thats what Im planning on doing.. along with the other toiletrie items.

oh and where were those sheets the 1st time E went to Iraq and they had no detergent around to buy and I had to buy those heavy tabs they had and send it to him.. These sheets would have saved me TONS in shipping costs lol

I'm just briefly checking in as I'm trying to ban myself from time here until I widdle down my To Do list some....as I always say I will just peek for a 10 min and two hours later where has the time gone;) I have so many projects and things to do between now and when we leave for this trip and my brother's wedding. Thank-you for reminding me of this Kimberly I had totally forgotten all about this.

I think the drainage is lessening (of course it could be wishful thinking), so hopefully we'll be drain free in 13 days.

Either way, in two weeks, we'll be in the Magic Kingdom!

Thanks for all your prayers, pixie dust, good thoughts, etc.

Julie
I'm working backwards here Julie I had been thinking about you guys...I'm so glad to hear Alex is doing better:cool1: :cool1:

Here's something that helps A LOT (IMOH)....

I think just about all of us are traveling with two or more people (adults and kids included), right? Well for DH and I on our last several cruises we took highlighters (skinny kind - nothing too bulky) and used them for the navigator - the cruise info 'thingy' that's delivered to your stateroom every morning. FYI for those that are not familiar with it it's got all the important stuff about what's ahead for that day, theme, activities, shows, picture times, (FatCat - drink of the day, liquor specials)...EVERYTHING.

DH wakes up waaaayyyy before I do and will hightlight the 'bejesus' out of it and then when I get up I go back through it with my color and highlight what I want to do; (i.e. he uses blue, I use yellow...whatever comes out green we know what both of us want to do together without wasting time trying to figure out what we are doing all day.) Make sence? We have a little guy too so we'll each find something (or two, or three) things to do with him alone for some much needed one on one time while one of us does something only we highlighted; (i.e. wine tasting, beer tasting, galley tour...ya'll getting all this? :confused3

I know, I know...long winded but this is really neat and by day three or four your going to be thinking, " Another Navigator???:scared1: We just don't have time to argue about what everyone is doing today!!!" So this helps with getting it done faster and more relaxing so there's plenty to 'discuss about who's doing what over breakfast' instead of rushing.

Just a thought....

Thanks for the weather report and the highligher idea is great!
I am at 9 days today!!!! Lois

Ecellent tip and we used to do it that way (and I think it works well for most people). IF you have a fmaily of type A people who all feel a need to physically have that navigator in their pocession all day long (because well, you know, you don't want to miss something:rotfl2: ) then extras are available by guest services or you can ask your stateroom host to bring extras at turn down each night.

Hey Fatcat,
How did you get that rate, I rented a fullsize from Avis -Pickup MCO Drop at Canaveral and I got $55.....any hints?

SO glad things are going better!!
Update:
Took the car in for an estimate today. Not as bad as I thought. The bumper was not damaged, only the PLASTIC clips that hold on the bumper. Total estimate $197.00, and we have a $100 deductible.
I'm going to process it thru insurance, we have NJ Manufacturers and they do not surcharge for accidents. They called it an incident, not an accident.
Aunt Michele
Glad it wasn't terrible. The thought of all that made me laugh...because it's TOTALLY something I would do and Jeff would be like "HOW did you rip the bumper off the car again?"

We've always specified brand and size. But you can say "store brand OK" if you don't care. Or, for snacks, if you want cookies, just tell her "Oreos" or "Keebler chocolate chip chewy" or whatever and she'll do a good job. She's also called me before when what I wanted wasn't available and she had to substitute. And, if you call when you place your order, you can request a time for delivery & she's always very reliable!
