Epperbiker: Sorry to hear bout your mom, glad she is doing better and can cruise with us in Sept, will keep her in our thoughts

Erika: What the non alcholic version?

Cozumel: Dolphin Encounter

Costa Maya: Dh and Crissi Dh are probably doing a Myan Ruin tour, not sure what she and I will do with kids, hopefully get off ship for a bit them back on for some swimming in the pool and laundry. This will be the longest we have been away with no washer/dryer:eek:

Thanks for the good thoughts.

"And of course, the Palo trifecta: dinner, tea and brunch" - YES! This is a must for DW and me... we love them all.

Chankanaab is going to be a hoot at 1:00 with so many of us there!!!

We might return to Maya Palms in Costa Maya - We really enjoyed our day there two years ago.

We'll do the Waverunner "Eco Tour" one of the days at CC.

We received our cruise info today too. Our booklet contains excursion info for the Mexican Riviera though. Did anyone else get this? They have our correct dates so I'm guessing it was just a mistake.:confused3

...but who's counting?

101 days, 10 hours, 47 minutes, and 12 seconds now?

UGGGGG

Ive got another week till I get into double digits..... 107days to go....... LOL:rotfl2:

Epperbiker Hope your mom has a speedy recovery! Maybe play the Disney DVD a few times for her and it will get her spirits up.

For those of you doing Chankanaab in Costa Maya.... who are you booking through, Disney, or Ivan and David, or????

As for us.. I have narrowed it down... to

Castaway Cay (day1)- Bike and boat rentals, the boys have snorkals mask and fins, just need to find some for E and I. (probably 1 set to share I dont mind swapping spit with him, just the though of swapping with some other joe shmoe.. grosses me out LOL) **with time for shopping of course! LOL**

CozumelCozumel Beach Break /Play Mia Grand Beach Park (anyone done this before?, is it better to do through Disney or on our own?) **again.. cant forget the shopping LOL**

Castaway Cay day 2- Im surprizing E with Cabana Massage at Castaway Cay. He has NEVER had a massage so I thought this would be tre romantica' LOL AND I get a massage too for all my hard work at planning this shindig! Kids are going to the club. We can have some time as Serenity bay.. Then we will pick them up for lunch and spend the rest of the day together... Or so I have it planned.. lol. When Im signing up for stuff online can I get sign up for the massages or do I have to wait till I get on board?

Thanks all for the info help etc!

That is an awesome link with great pics! Thanks for all that.

Here's a couple of other posts:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1500000
An extensive report on Xcaret w/lots of photos. She does a great job describing what they experienced at Xcaret. One thing that really jumped out since we have a little one is the warning about the shark exhibit - no railing! This didn't influence us to not do Xcaret, just something to be aware of.

A query I posted on the main board to help me decide between dolphins & Xcaret. The last post is then one saying the underground river was a little long for a 5 yr old in her group.

Thanks for the links. I think my 6 year old would like the dolphins more. It's so hard to choose. I feel like I keep going back and forth :confused3

OMG...my monitor almost got a shower! I didn't read your snorkel comment correctly at first, then I backed up and re-read it and about lost it! :rotfl2:

Spa services, including at Castaway Cay, can be booked on-line. Salon services, however, cannot.

Thank you Kimberly, Oy I have read so much I have started doubting myself on when I can do what, where and with who LOL

Glad I could give you a chuckle also!

Oh and when can us 75day'ers put our online bookings in? I have July 14th I just want to be sure. I had that link for when it shows you everything but no clue where I put it :badpc:

Drea, you are correct. T-75 is July 14. Although we'll be friendly competitors :) , don't forget that this begins at midnight (think 12:01 am) on July 14 based on EDT. So I guess that's an early-to-bed night for the boys so mom can be at the computer at 9:00 pm July 13!

Not sure if this is the same link you've used or not, but here's one you can use.

Yes friendly competitors...as long as i win LOL sorry thats just the competitor in my LOL :confused3

I think the boys will be having a sleepover at grandma's house that night to ensure there are no interuptions... It would be my luck one of them needs water or retucking back into bed.. Not to mention they will be on summer break so no way will they want to go to bed early lol. :furious: So off to grandmothers house they go.... :cloud9: thank god she lives across the street. :worship:

I guess this will seem like a dumb question but...

We are CC members for the first time so we have the 90 day booking window. The cruise doesn't not technically have to be paid off until 75 days out. In order to get the 90 day booking window do I need to pay off the cruise before my 90 day window opens?

When I got my cruise booklet yesterday the letter noted I could make my excursion, Palo, etc. ressies on July 14th - the 75 day mark. I just wonder why it said that - unless it is because I need to pay off the cruise to get the 90 day mark.

Does that make sense? I know there are some former DCL cruisers on here!:goodvibes

Thanks! The DVD is a good idea, and I've made a copy of the Travel Channel special on DCL also.

With all the similar names it's easy to get them mixed up, but Chankanaab is the Marine park in Cozumel where Dolphin Discovery is located. Many of us have made reservations directly through them - Here

The ruins of Chacchoben are near Costa Maya. I believe some may have reserved this directly with "David and Ivan" - Here

You are correct. If you are a CC member, you can book at 90 days but only if you are paid in full at that time. For us CC members that means at midnight EST on July 29th we're allowed to book online.

This is a long shot............

Do folks remember a discussion months & months ago about the ruins at Costa Maya? I seem to recall the longer excursion had the more 'authentic' ruins tour....perhaps 'authentic' isn't the right word. I vaguely remember the longer one being preferred over the shorter tour. Can anyone point me in the right direction to go back to that thread? I'm almost positive it would be in our earlier thread - take 1.

Thanks!

Happy Tuesday all.
Like so many others we are sweltering up here in New Hampshire. Ick.

Epperbiker--I am glad you're mom is doing well. I know how stresful it it waiting on someone who is having heart surgery. Luckily I also know how much better that person feels after the yrecover from the surgery:) I bet your mom will have a great trip.

I sure enjoyed reading everyone's Disney memories last week. Dave's answer, which I never got around to typing in, is: standind on the deck of the Magic with his arms around me wathcing the firewirs over Barcelona.

I am not feeling very creative today so here is a simple question of the week in honour of our weather:

What is your favourite COLD thing to drink on a hot day???

Me: Coke (NOT Pepsi). Preferably out of a foutnain and with lots of ice. Also, fresh brewed iced tea with lemon. Mmmmm. Maybe I should brew some tea right now::yes::

Dave: I will ask him when he gets home, but it will probably be iced water or a frozen margarita depending on his mood at the time.

Marika: She loves iced water (with NO lemon wedge:rotfl: ) or Rootbeer.

Rio: Icees. He likes to mix together every flavour they have (but I won't let him have NRG). He also like soda all mixed together and Crystal Light Lemonade.

Okay, so what are you all wanting to drink to beat the heat today?

It is back there somewhere--I posted a lengthy review with photos over several posts. I think that was last June if that helps you look for it. They were the Kohunlich Ruins.

I found this on the Native Way Web site. This maybe our answer to the school supply mission. If I group of us can decide what we want to do and book directly with Native Way we can take the supplies.

We continue accepting school supplies and used clothes for the children of our village!

There are many limitations in our community and anything that can be used in school would be highly appreciated. Even a pencil or a glue stick would make a difference for our children and you can be sure that they would give it a good use.

The best part of helping our children is actually giving the supplies directly to them!
We know that there is nothing like a big smile on the face of a happy child who receives a present, that is why if you let us know ahead of time and as long as time and the rest of the group allows, we can plan on going to our village at the end of the tour so you can deliver the supplies directly to the children.

What does the group think? Lois

I am 95% certain I have the link to that post (actually I recall there were a couple of posts from Hadley) on our website in a thread for Kohunlich Ruins. :)

Thanks, Hadley!!! I was able to find your posts! The search engine actually worked this time. ;)

For those that haven't seen this info before (or just want to refresh the memory - its been a year now), here's the link to the page where Hadley's posts starts - its on our 1st meet thread:

The posts continue through page 48, I believe. There are some really nice photos as well.

Thanks, Lois! That's the same direction that Valerie from the 10/25 Double Dip pointed me to as well, however, I hadn't read too much on their site, so I greatly appreciate the quote. It all circles back to Dave from the "Ivan & Dave" duo having a big big heart!
