I told Arminda's FGIT that I would prefer it if she just left Arminda's bangs alone. She grunted and nodded her head. I went to help Lydia with some things, and when I came back, I saw that the FGIT had put slicked up Arminda's bangs and put them to the side. It didn't look bad, but I wasn't happy that she had not listened to me.

Here is the big reveal

Arminda was the last one done, so we took some group shots at the throne. We got the Photopass Photographer to come over to take a few too, although she didn't seem happy about it.

Brian thought this picture was really funny, so I thought I'd put it in! I guess the girls were done with pictures!

Afterwards, my Mom had told me that Casey and Courtney's FGIT hadn't been very nice either. They didn't talk to the girls, and seemed to pull on their hair with a bit too much force. Mom said she thought Casey thought she was being tortured. I felt so bad to hear that. I had really wanted the girls to all have a magical experience. Apparently, Tessa's FGIT was no better. :(

but, didn't they all look beautiful when they were done!!

Tessa and Lydia, best friends!

Notice Casey's blond hair??I was NOT thrilled to see that, but when she told me WHY she had picked it, it was funny! Casey is a HUGE Hannah Montana fan, so she got the blond to be like her! Yah gotta love that girl!

After the pictures, I went up to pay for all the appointments. I tried not to look at the total as I signed the receipt! It would have been worth it if every girl was treated like a princess as Lydia was, but the way it turned out, the other girls just got their hair put up. I could have done that for free, so I was pretty disappointed. But, we still had the photo shoot, and I was looking forward to getting some pretty shots of the girls in their outfits and fancy hairdos.

Yes, I thought, we still have the photo shoot.....

They don't have to be big moments, just the small, spontanious moments that make a special memory!
:thumbsup2 SOOOOOOO true!

When I asked her how long she had been working at BBB, she was shocked and told me she had not worked in many years! She was just having fun! And, you know what, I totally believe her! She was great!

I cannot believe your photopass photographer was a dud too. The girls did look beautiful though! And I'm sure they have great memories of doing it together. What a great experience for the cousins even if it wasn't all that it could have been.

I almost commented on Heather's report that those grouchy FGIT must have awfully long days!!! Yet imagine how much fun it would be if you were in character.

I loved reading about Lydia's FGIT!! She sounds so wonderful!! We should have just lined all the girls up for her. I felt bad telling you how awful Tessa's FGIT was since you paid for it. But, I was hoping with your awesome complaining skillz that you would get some sort of compensation.

Thanks for not mentioning that it was my idea to let the kids play in their fancy duds! What a "D'OH" moment that was!

I love the pictures you have of Tessa. I sure wish I had a photopass CD. :rolleyes1 All of the pictures were great!!

I didn't know the CM at the desk told you that they get wet spots on the couch all the time! :scared1: Why am I not surprised?

I really tried to get Daisy happy and "into" what she was doing. I was very nice and friendly with her, but it didn't work.

I was thinking she must be tired at first. Then, I realized that their job description is to be a Fairy Godmother In Training. So, their job is to give the girls some magic!! It was only 11:20, so they couldn't have been there too long. I used to work in my mom's home daycare and we had some REEEEALLY long days (my mom worked 12 hour days, at least). But, we didn't take that out on the kids and we tried to stay upbeat for them. I don't recall ever ignoring one of the kids because I was tired and pregnant, like Tessa's FGIT did! I wouldn't have minded as much, but she noticed that Daisy wasn't very nice to her.:(

I finally got to read your trip report! Great!

Sorry about the a/c guy what a pain huh?

the girls looked so pretty all princessed up! That stinks that some of the Figits weren't magical. That should be a requirement to work at Disney.imo.

We have an appointment there with my dd in Nov i sure hope she gets a great figit. What was up with that photo pass person?!?!!?

Love the update. I am really glad to hear how nice Lydia's fgit was and that you enjoyed watching her. I wish that would have been the case with the rest of the girls. What a shame, it is the experience you are paying for not the do!

The girls all look very pretty!

I wasn't trying to make any excuses for the grouchy FGIT I was just thinking if they have the attitude they do that their "job" was just to get the hair pulled up and were all cranky about it then the 8 hours or whatever they do work would seem so long to them. Even if they were tired or not feeling well I would think trying to act happy & magical would help them feel better.:confused3

But in contrast Susan who was so good and obviously enjoying the magic she creates feels like she doesn't work at all.

Disney charges a lot for BBB. I am really surprised, well more disappointed, that they allow this to happen. It wasn't just 1 grouchy so it seems like this behavior is tolerated.

I can't wait to bring my DD2 to the BBB, of course we will not be going until Nov 2009 she is definately doing that. I had tears coming down the update. The girls looked so pretty. They looked so happy. Too bad their FGIT weren't very nice. I think that should be a requirement, right? Susan sounded like the perfect one, of course she was probably a real one ;)

At least the girls look cute.

I do believe that Susan WAS a real one!!! ::yes::

1.)I am thinking of writing another letter. I would like to know what they have done so no other sweet (or even not so sweet) little girls get such grumpy FGIT! You know what I'm thinking??? I think that they were sent by the evil stepmother to infiltrate the castle!!!! :scared1: :scared1: Susan said that the steps were truly evil!!!!Oh my goodness!!!! I can't believe we ddn't think of that then!!! What a narrow escape we made from their evil clutches!!! :faint:
2.)I didn't really remember who's idea it was to play in Pooh, until I read your TR. Thanks for not saying it was me that said "Let's not wait in line for Pooh!" "D'Oh" to me too!
3.)I had that CD in my purse when I saw Mom Friday, and I fogot to give it to her! :headache:
4.)Yep ::yes:: Happens ALL THE TIME!!!

I tried the same technique with Arminda's. It was truly a shock going from Susan to Sondra! TOTALLY different experiences! :( Arminda noticed she wasn't nice either, that was what was so sad. She had been SOOOO excited! She's 10, and the magic is still real to her, next time, she will be 11, she could be "too old" for the magic next year!
You know that Cinderella herself invited Arminda and the girls to the castle this year. We had been planning on doing BBB at Downtown Disney, but then Cinderella found out Arminda and the girls would be there and invted them to the castle instead.

You should be able to talk to the FGIT before the appointment starts and ask for another one if you sense a bad attitiude!

The Photopass lady, I don't know what her problem was! She acted like it was such a big deal to get pictures of the girls! Isn't that her job??????

Love the update. I am really glad to hear how nice Lydia's fgit was and that you enjoyed watching her. I wish that would have been the case with the rest of the girls. What a shame, it is the experience you are paying for not the do!

Did you notice that Brian is in every picture too? He loved watching his princesses get made over too! I just wish all the girls had nice FGITs! Like you said, it's the experience, not the hairdo! Give me some bobbi pins, gel and glitter, and I can put their hair up quite well!

I wasn't trying to make any excuses for the grouchy FGIT I was just thinking if they have the attitude they do that their "job" was just to get the hair pulled up and were all cranky about it then the 8 hours or whatever they do work would seem so long to them. I understand what you are saying. Yes, it would be a long day if you hated it! So much better if you have the attitude of Susan! I don't know why they would keep the grumpy ones! (although, as I said, I think it is an evil plot put out by the stepmother!)
At least the girls look cute.

Yep, they looked cute, for awhile!

Great installment! I am really sorry that some of the girls didn't get the magical treatment!! That is something that I am hearing more and more of at the MK location of BBB...which is really too bad. Can't wait to hear more!!

They need to do something about that then! I was hoping it was just a rare thing that we only got one good FGIT out of 5!

Thanks for reading!

Oh my....I am so sorry they ladies were GFGIT (grumpy fairy godmothers in training). Like you said, that's no fun and you coulda put their hair up yourself. (Hmmmmmm.....I would have complained but I am a complainer if services that you are paying for aren't up to par. )
In any case I think the girls look fabulous and I hope they got lots of compliments thru out the day!!!! :lovestruc

Oh believe me, I'm a complainer! At the time, I wasn't sure how bad everyone else's experience had been, but I went back later to let them know what had happened. I honestly think they should have offered to redo the experience, but they just took my name down.

You should definately write a letter. Disney needs to know.

I know exactly what your mean about Arminda. Before our trip last August my DD then 8 asked me if the Incredibles were real people and I said what do you mean. And she said you know "real". So I showed her a picture of them and she said are they just in costumes? I asked her if she really wanted to know and so of course she knew the answer. Then she said what about Pooh? :sad1: But then she quickly said that's OK because they do it to make people happy. I was really worried that some of the magic would be gone on our next trip but she drew pictures of the Pooh characters to give them at our CP breakfast while we were in the airport. I took just her in November and I bought her a beanie size Pooh one day. We were on the TTA and she was holding Pooh and telling him what everything was. It's one of my favorite pictures from that trip-she still feels the magic!

Hmm, Dallas was 4 when he asked if the power rangers were real. I told him they were just people in costumes so he figured out the rest were. He didn't even have anyone to ruin it for him either. Guess boys are not into the fun, let's believe things as much and start asking questions earlier. It was kind of sad. I was expecting him to ask about Santa, but he didn't, although at easter he did ask so for sure it is coming this year I think about Santa.

I can't believe how awful those FGIT were! That's just terrible. I definitely think you should write a letter. I would include some of those non-smiling pictures in it too.

WHEW!! I just read the entire TR, well up to date at least!! I just don't understand how they can hire someone to be a CM or photographer that clearly does not have the Disney Magic. Go figure!!! When we were at BBB in December, our FGMiT were great.

Now, I'm off to read Heather's side of the story :D
