Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

I'm anxiously awaiting pricing info on the new bags. We're going in December and as of now I'll be buying an AP to keep our AP discounted room. So, my question then becomes Premium or Regular AP? The difference is $138.45. If the satchel is the same price as the Dream one ($275) that's $55 off with a 20% discount. If I'm picking up one for my sister that's $110. Or really $55 since I'd be getting 10% anyway. I need to figure out the math I guess and I just haven't had enough coffee today.

Never hurts to ask, because it can really add up. Also, if you go with the premium, always point out to the CM that it's a premium, and check your receipt. I have had a couple instances where they only gave me the 10% instead of the 20%.

So... I finally caved and bought an Aulani tote off of EBAY. I got a decent price for it....well above retail, but less than most are paying. Then the USPS LOST the package for two weeks !!! I was frantic and furious. The seller was great to deal with and immediately started tracking procedures. It finally showed up last night; the box looking like it had been run over, payed with by large animals....just awful.

Thankfully, when I got the box opened, the purse was fine ! My birthday/Christmas present to myself ! I will try to take some pictures and post soon.

Still thinking I need a black balloon of some sort, but need to recover from the Aulani purchase first !

Wow, I am so glad it was okay. I would have been going nuts those two weeks. Can't wait to see yours. Mine came from Hawaii by UPS and it took 6 days and was tracked the whole way and I still was impatient until it arrived. I would have needed sedatives to be in your shoes. Anyway, after you recover I think another purse is due you

We were just in Disneyland and everywhere we ate and shopped, and I mean everywhere, asked before we finished checking out, were we annual passholders. Even when we got ice cream or a cookie. I don't know if they will start doing that at DisneyWorld but at Disneyland they didn't want you to miss the passholder discount and it seemed to me anywhere Disney there was giving the discount.

Thanks! I'm definitely the shopper. I think I figured that in addition to possibly 2 dooney satchels, we'd need to spend 417.25 to break even. Now we're always good for a big WOD purchase and xmas shoppe purchase. And with 2 kids I'm sure we spend more than that. My question is, do you get the discount regardless of the total? Or is it like the Visa with a $50 minimum purchase. If it's everything then we totally will exceed that break even total .

The Disneyquest admission is another thing. Just not sure we'll have the time since we're going to Harry Potter for two days.

Everywhere I went, I would ask for my AP discount and whether it was for a couple of dollars of several hundred, no problem.

Now, all of you got me thinking about getting a Premium AP!

Yeah, all it took was the one "sparkly" for my 30th wedding anniversary present to more than make up for the difference in cost between the regular and the premium annual pass! Don't think it would take too many purses, either!

My wristlet does not have the Dooney tag inside with the serial number like my other wristlets do. It just has the Disney World tag. Of course, mine came from eBay too, but at least ours are the same.

Hi all!
I went to uptown jewelers yesterday and saw they have most bags, including 40th letter carriers...those seem to be rare from my travels around the world. No 40th wristlets, however. Spoke to a cm about the comic print and she said a customer claims to have purchased one last week. I told her that I find that a little hard to believe since I went to TrenD twice already this week and one cm told me she's seen no new bags and another cm claimed they wouldn't be available until 2012. Yesterday, a more informed cm at TrenD said she wasn't sure when they would be in but she went to a product meeting so she's aware of their impending arrival. the cm at UJ did say that she expects them to sell like hot cakes....she said when they first stocked the minnie bow bags, they sold out in one day...I've seen the bows bags now in several locations. Other rare bags are the Mickey silhouette striped bags...the summer cloth bags that replaced the faces bags. I finally saw the wristlet at GF but have spotted several of the black bags around various stores. The peace bags are also still floating around as well.

I also stopped at the shop at GF. I found 40th wristlets there but no letter carriers. They had kristens and messengers there as well.

Those are the ones I am making mental notes of to mention here, but sketch hunters need not dismay, I don't think you'll find many problems finding the bag of your dreams.

Plus if they offer the discount through mail order, and if we manage to arrange our trip so I can use it for at least part of next year's trip....maybe another Dooney next year!

EXACTLY !!!! After the USPS lost our Disney Wedding contract and deposit several years ago, I learned just how poorly they track things, even when sent with signature confirmation, etc. All they could say is when it was accepted at the post office. Well, okay...but it's not here, so where did it go next...then was told it would be 14 days before they started looking for it ??? Ever since that fiasco, I always send important things UPS...their tracking is phenomenal.

I was very sad yesterday. I got my Dooney from Disneystore.com via UPS sooner than I expected. I was like a kid on Xmas. I went to unzip it and the zipper was bad.

I got it taken care of so I can get an exchange but I was so looking forward to using it for my trip this weekend.

and I do believe that there are no AP discounts at the CS places. So, no mug discounts. That's one thing I haven't done. So, can't help on that one. My AP has expired and I can't log on to the AP site on DW.com dang it!

I don't think there are AP discounts on mail order or DS.com. The last time I purchased from WDW Merchandising, I couldn't get my AP discount.
