Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

I sadly have a 5th Lucy coming tomorrow and a 40th wristlet.. bought them when they were 20% off. Im returning the 5th with the other three so the purse im keeping will be 20% off. I shouldnt even look at the new one. LOL

You never know!! The 5th might be the one! I had decided that I no longer wanted the Lucy...I was going to get the 40th Kristen. My first two Lucy's stunk and although I already ordered a 3rd, I gave up on it completely and decided the Kristen it is! Then when the Lucy showed up, it was just too perfect to not keep!

My first two Lucy's stunk and although I already ordered a 3rd, I gave up on it completely and decided the Kristen it is! Then when the Lucy showed up, it was just too perfect to not keep!

I want the 40th Kristen too! Im thinking of waiting until my January trip though, hopefully they are still all over the parks by then.

Oh you are not alone in this....I did the same thing to save some $ (really, what's the difference between sending 3 or 4 bags back?!?) My 5th showed up today:

I am MUCH happier with this placement (both sides) and the other 4 are going back ASAP tomorrow morning. Enough of this madness!!!!

I guess it all turned out ok. I ended up saving over $40 buy ordering this 5th one and I don't think it will cost much more than $15 to send the others back (which I would have to do anyway!)

Lesson of the day: Buy from eBay or at Disney


Thanks for all the sympathy though. I needed to be convinced that I wouldn't have been happy with any of those first four.

Has anyone bought the black striped Dooney bag? I don't know exactly what it's called. I'm looking for opinions and maybe some pics of it being worn. I'm thinking maybe it would make a nice tote bag for hauling my lunch, etc. to work. An expensive tote bag, but none the less, a tote bag. Thanks.

I bought the black and white striped tote back in February and I use it as my work bag. There are some pictures of the bag itself and of it on my shoulder on page 55 and 56. It's a great tote. Hope this helps!

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but can I open them and still return them? Stupid to ask, maybe, but even dumber should I find myself with $800 worth of purses I can't return.

Also, for those of you who have returned them, and assuming I can unwrap them, do you rewrap them as best you can to return them? Or eliminate the extra Dooney paper?

Open them! You can def look at them. I just saved the packing to rewrap best i can but i doesnt have to be like you never looked at it. I dont even think its necessary to rewrap, the bags in the store are all opened.

AHHHHH, I opened them. Provided quite the entertainment around the office as women gathered round to take a look at them. I had ordered a 40th anniversary bucket, a 40th anniversary messenger and 2 Lucy bags with the intention of keeping only one purse. I know everyone looks for something different with placement, but I have to say I think the placement on both Lucy bags is pretty good. Noticed neither one has a castle, but one has a Mickey and Minnie (one on the front and one on the back) while the other has a Mickey and Minnie on both the front and the back. I really like the Lucy, but I think it's just going to be a little too small for me. And as much as I love Disney, I think in the end I would feel strange taking the purse some places (like church) and I'm not one to switch out purses on a day to day basis. Onto the messenger and bucket. Placement isn't a big deal to me on those. And please, don't anyone start talking about this or that being on the purse because then I will start obsessing about this or that NOT being there. I haven't made a final decision yet. Want to show DD16 and DD30. Although, I might just stick with DD30 because she will understand my indecision. DD16 on the other hand might have some of that "teenage attitude" towards the whole thing. Not to mention the fact that she'll tell DH that I actually bought four purses, which I know he won't care because I'm not keeping them all. It's more a matter of them having something to harrass me about yet again. But anyway, popular opinion here at work is that the bucket is "me". I'm not sure why they think that, but it is the one I'm leaning towards. If you lovely ladies want to see pictures, I'd be happy to try and accomplish that tonight. But since I've never done it, is it as easy as taking the picture, saving it to my computer and then "uploading" it? Do I click that little icon at the top that stands for "insert image"?

you can upload several, just hit the Ctrl key while choosing the pics
4. Copy the link of the pic
5. On disboards.. as you stated click the "insert image" icon
