Just back from my trip, I will have a full on report of the bags with photos from various gift shops throughout the walt Disney world resort!

I wish they would do what Coach does on their website...they have a picture of a body carrying the bag so you can get an idea of proportion, whether it will sit on the shoulder, etc. Even when I see the dimensions on the disney.com site, it is hard for me to visualize.

Dooney used to do that, and then they stopped. I used to love that feature.

Hey all!

Back from my long weekend trip for Food and Wine.

I searched high and low for 40th wallets, and the only place I found them was in the MK shop. They were in the side display cabinets behind glass. Not out with the other bags. They had about 6 of them as of Tuesday. Selection was good in the major stores. The resort shops were just okay with selection.

I have updated the first few posts on this thread with new info.

I just returned last night also, and I purchased a new bag while I was there.

I think it is called the sketch pattern, but it is a bigger bag. Not the over night bag but the next size down.

It is a perfect size for my computer.

I am happy!

Yes, the messenger bag is bigger than the crossbody, much bigger. Great for days out. Someone on Wed. on the facebook page posted a picture from the Magic Kingdom shop on Mainstreet a picture of the supply of 40th ann. bags there and there are plenty. They just got back from the World and said they saw 40th bags all over. They should be there next month, or at least I think they should. Here is pixie dust to you to find your perfect one

I love my crossover bag, but it barely holds my wallet, iphone, keys, and sometimes I can stuff my sunglasses in it. But that's IT. It's fine for everyday outings. But when we go to Sea World or out for the day, I suddenly have to carry littlest pet shops, dh's iphone, sometimes his wallet, and so on, and there just isn't room.

What are the wallets like? Now I want a wallet...

Also, as a relative bag newbie, what is considered good placement? I'm wondering what I should be looking for when I buy my new bag. My sketch bag was a gift, so I didn't pick it out.

I bought it at Mouse Gear they only had two to choose from and none in the back, so I got the best placement I could... The next morning I stopped in the Yacht Club and they had one with much better placement, they did an exchange there for me and I walked out with great bag...

There were only two at Yacht Club also, but I did see the Harvey bags there at Yacht Club also, the black and gray bags, the one with Steamboat Willie on the front and the comic strip.

I think "perfect placement" is what makes your heart happy - it will remind you of all the things you LOVE about Disney (which is different for everyone). When you see it, you'll know that's "your" bag.

Couldn't say it better myself. That so expresses these bags for the anniversaries of the park especially. But, really for all the purses.

I agree, for me it was seeing Mickey and Minnie and the Walt Disney Banner on the front.

Hi everyone! As a long time follower of this thread, I appreciate all the updates about new patterns and sales, so thanks to all my fellow Disney Dooney addicts! I am down at WDW now but I have only been to TrenD. They did not have the Harvey steamboat Willie cross body but told me to try WoD. They did have the cinch bag and the nightmare before christmas harveys too. The displays showed all the sketches, the 40th cross body, the bucket and the larger bag as well as the Minnie bows bags. I asked a cm about the release of the new bags and they said they have no idea when they will get them in... I'm only here for a week so I'm hoping to leave with a 40th piece and the comic piece...

We left and went to the outlets up by universal and I went to the Dooney store so I have my report ready! I saw a small display with several tonal wristlets, one princess bag (not sure of the style, hobo?), the large wonder tote, the champ sac, and one tonal wallet that threatened to come home with me. I did resist because I just don't feel right paying that much money for a non leather wallet. So I went to coach and got a leather one instead For a lot less too, even after the discounts...

Hello, all. My first post on this thread, but I've been lurking since Thread 2! I was at the Premium Outlets on Vineland yesterday (the ones near Disney), and the Dooney outlet had 3 Disney bags...now down to 2. They had a white pop princess bucket which came home with me, a tonal Mickey wristlet, and a black pop princess domed satchel. I asked the guy working if they ever get cruise line purses, and he said no, only parks discontinued items. (I would buy a DCL Dream purse at the 40% discount which I wasn't willing to pay full price for when we were on the Dream last month - just didn't love it enough.)

Anyway - thought that might help someone looking - or tell you not to waste your time - sounds like the other Premium Outlets had a better selection recently.

So, I'm now the proud owner of 4 Dooneys - white sketch tassel tote, purple sketch crossbody, pop princess bucket, and DCL sketch tassel tote. And, if I'm very lucky, my best friend who is going to Hawaii on her honeymoon this week will bring me back an Aulani Dooney (crossed fingers they are in stock!).

Hi, The disneystore.com site may not get the Kristen 55th back because others have reported that Disney is discontinuing hte 55th style. Ebay right now is your best bet. I have bought a lot on ebay and haven't had any problems at all. You are protected as a buyer if you are sold a fake. I really doubt you would get a fake on ebay. I have no idea if they will get the cruise one or not. they do have the dream inaugural purses on disney.com. hope that helps. Keep us posted on what you get. Wow, just wow... I just spent a week reading this whole entire thread , lol... I have been on the edge of wanting a Disney D&B for a while now and it was the Cruise line one (the brown background with all the characters in nautical outfit) but I wanted it as a wristlet and I see the only wristlet they make in that is the skinny one... I was just wondering if anyone has it, can it hold enough stuff like iphone and cc's and chapstick? I dont see what it could be used for as skinny as it is does anyone happen to have a pic of the inside of it?

Also, I go down to WDW the second week of November for a few days and I think I really REALLY want the wristlet with the mickey balloons on there... do they still sell that at Tren-d, or WOD, or UJ or anywhere (besides online)?

The new comic strip bags are cute but they are just like the Harvey bags so its no big deal for me... hoping for more patterns sooner rather then later, lol...

As for a purse now I made my own minnie wristlet to hold me over til my D&B one, is it november yet?

Oh sad day! I really like the 55th anniversary edition. The one on ebay I found is super cute. Just cautious I guess. How do you spot a fake?
Oh - and any new patterns coming any time soon? (I don't even own one yet and I'm already hooked... lol) - and yes did say yet. I will own one very soon!
