Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

I was in Florida for 7 years and frequented WDW about once a month. I liked the Disney Dooney's but I always said that I would NEVER pay that kind of money for a bag or purse or wristlet. Okay so now that I have left Florida (unfortunately due to divorce) and now everytime I look at them online I want one more and more!! I have become hooked on them and cannot wait to purchase a purse and a bag. (I usually stare at them online atleast once a week.) I started saving and cannot wait until I have enough to buy them. I am afraid that once I start buying them I will NOT be able to stop! LOL!

My Princess wristlet just arrived! It's very cute, but not even close to having the placement I wanted. I really wanted Belle on it, and there's not even one Belle. I can't post pictures now, but I will as soon as my post count is high enough.

I'm now debating what to do with it. I could hold onto it as a gift for my little sister's birthday- she saw me looking at them and wanted one herself. I could then just buy one I liked from ebay. I'm just worried that my sister may still be a little young to take proper care of it; She's only 8. Otherwise, I could order two more from the Disney Store, pick my favorite of the 3 to keep, and return the other ones. Any thoughts/advice would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

I've seen girls much younger than 8 with a Dooney! That aside, only you know your sister, but I bet she would love it. And it's just a wristlet; not a full blown purse. I bet she would look adorable out and about with her Princess wristlet.

Very true... I know she would absolutely love it! I think as long as I remind her to be careful with it, she should be fine. I think that's what I may end up doing, so I guess it's back to ebay to find the perfect one for myself

Yep, my 40th creaks too when I walk!
Have you ever had your strap just fall off when you pick it up? Mine has done it a couple of times as I am getting out of the car, it just unhooks and falls off.

YES! My strap has come off a couple of times while at WDW. I was getting off of Everest the most recent time and it scared me! Even though it creaks and the strap has issues I still love my messenger

I sold my 40th ann. bucket bag. I had put it on the facebook page as well and someone there bought my bucket and I bought her Kristen. Worked out great

Very cute! I gave the pink and green minnie pouchette to my 7 year old(she was 6 at the time) because it was too small for me and she really wanted it and she also got my sketch wristlet and she has taken wonderful care of them. She is also a fancy nancy and girly girly so these things are important to her. But I do think an 8 year old can take care of it if she understands that is expensive but you also know your sister better than me

Hi, Everyone --

My name is Kathy and I have become a Disney Dooney addict. Thanks to all of your posts, in the past 2 months I've gotten the Medium Sketch, Tonal Letter Carrier, Striped Mickey Tote and matching wristlet and Red and White Striped Mickey Erica and matching wristlet. I love them all!!!

I have a question about the Erica. I'd like to lengthen the strap on it, but I can't get any of the tabs "unbuttoned" from their current spots. I didn't want to try to force it or tug too hard and do any damage. Does anyone have any tips for getting the strap undone? I'm thinking of taking it to the Dooney store to see if they can help, but I thought I'd try here first.

Hi Kathy - Welcome to the madness!!!

I have a few Dooney's that you can change the length on the straps including a Peace, Love, Mickey Erica bag. I am tall so I end up trying to get as much length as I can. Some of them "unbottoned" pretty easily and others were rather tough to do. I would just advise you to go gently and have patience. I know I have tried, set it down for awhile and then gone back to it.

Oooohhhh - a Disney Dooney thread

I have a white sketch wristlet and pink sketch crossbody. I just got the Mickey Balloon Susanna tote, but am deciding whether to keep it - I love the print, bag, shape - but it is really big. I wanted the Collette, but waited too long and they were sold out. We will be at WDW in November, so there may be a happy holidays to me bag purchased while there.

My DD and I were flipping through the tv channels last night and caught part of Toddlers and Tiaras. DD is fascinated with this show and the way the kids (and moms) act. All of a sudden she yells "Your purse, your purse!" I hit rewind and sure enough, she had spotted a Medium Sketch tote on a chair in the background! I couldn't believe she caught that...She was right though...I could make out a Mickey on the bag!
