Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

So, I was not one who complained to Disney or Dooney about the missing heart on my balloon satchel. However, I just got an email from the Disney Store customer service saying that it should have been included on my new handbag and they will be sending me one in the mail in the coming weeks. The CS reps name is Mary.

I was just coming to post this very thing. I just got the email about 5 minutes ago. Very surprising because I never complained, as I didn't think the particular styles I purchased (tonal champsac, black ballons wristlet, and tonal wristlet) came with a heart medallion, because it's not noted in the description or the picture.

But, I'll take it!

I received the same email today. I had purchased the Margot crossbody balloon bag in white. I knew it did not come with the heart because when we were down in Disney in october none of the balloon styles had the heart. I was planning on sending and email to D&B but now that I have this email from Mary at Disneyshopping I will not complain to D&B. Can't wait to get my D&B heart.

Which looks better in person? The sketch crossbody bag or the disneyland 55bag? I want to get one for Christmas, but I won't be back to DL until the end of March. Thanks for any help.

They're both very nice. Personally I think the sketch feels a bit younger though, if that makes sense.

When I was shopping for a letter carrier I couldn't decide between the DL55, the blue colored sketch, and the purple colored sketch... so I bought all three.

I use my DL55 LC all the time, but I ended up giving both of my sketch LC's to my DD's.

I'm probably not the best person to ask for an unbiased opinion though. The DL55 pattern is definitely my favorite. That's partly because I really do like the pattern best, but also because Disneyland is my home park.

I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I received the same email this morning from Mary. I'm glad that Disney is listening to our concers about the missing medallion on their D&B handbags and will send us the missing piece.

I received 3 emails, I am guessing because I ordered 3 purses.

I did just get a call from the DisneyStore.com because of my survey that I did. I told them I was mad about the heart tags and that I was charged $4.95 while using the free shipping code. The rep indicated that the heart tags would be shipped and that the people at Disney did not know that they were supposed to be included. I guess I understand that they don't know every product, but shouldn't SOMEBODY figured it out in the brick and mortar stores and advised D & B and the online store.

Her explanation about the shipping was that you could not use two codes (which I don't agree with) so you could not get free shipping on the D & B cosmetic bag. She agreed that it should have been made clear to the guests.

She is sending me a $10 DisneyStore.com gift certificate for my inconvenience which is better than nothing.

I didn't contact Disney about the tag at all. I got the same email. I guess they are sending one to everyone who bought a Dooney. I bought mine on Cyber Monday - The black balloon satchel. Love it. I leave for a week at the world tomorrow and I am hoping to find a Margot on property.

Now I have a question . . . ladies who have the Mickey Balloon Drawstring purse - how do you feel about the way that the bag "closes"? I just received mine today and I LOVE the way that it looks, the Cinderella-blue interior, and all of the pockets, BUT, I'm just not feeling too good about the drawstring - mine doesn't close tightly at all . . .

I REALLY like this bag - please help to convince me to keep it - LOL!

This was a first for me. I was at Home Depot tonight and an older lady working there came up to me and said "Oh, you have a Mickey Mouse Dooney, I want one sooooooooooooo bad!!!". Then she proceeded to show me her crown on her tooth that has a black Mickey Mouse on it...

I received the exact same e-mail as everyone else from "Mary" about the Dooney heart medallions What are they going to do about all those bags without medallions already sold at Disney World??? Do they plan on contacting those people and will they add them to the bags already on display in the stores?? Seems like a big can of worms is still left opened Kudos to all the DIS members for bringing this matter to their attention and getting a resolution

I get to actually use my bag at Christmas after I open it but I did try it on since Dh has not wrapped it yet. Im not worried too much about it being a tight closure...half expected it not to be with the design of the purse. The leather will also relax a little and break in around that rope that closes the bag...I think it will close easier with time/use.

I received my medallion in the mail earlier this week, as I had contacted Dooney directly. My husband faxed in my receipt, and because I never heard back, I wasn't sure if the Dooney contact, Carol, would come through. But she did Wednesday. Then yesterday I received the same form email from Disney that the medallions would be mailed out.

I also was charged $4.95 shipping (instead of GHASTLY $39.95) on my Disney Cyber Monday order. But I just assumed "free shipping" isn't really free on a purchase like that. I haven't filled out the survey yet, but maybe it is worth writing a comment, just to share my thoughts.

I love my Susanna tote - it is just the right size for me, about as tall as the Large Sketch but not quite as deep. The bonus is that it stays closed without flopping over because of the heavy buckle - it has 3 snaps! If you're tall or just like giant handbags, this is the one for you.

Of course I'm only guessing... but maybe they figure folks who had the chance to examine the bags in person before buying must have been OK with them as they were.

They've removed all pictures of the heart medallions and most descriptions that mention them from the website (do you think we should clue them in to the fact the Colette description still mentions ''Dooney & Bourke heart medallion on leather strap"?)

So I'm thinking only people who purchased from the website between certain dates will be getting the medallions. They really better fix that Colette description if that's the case though.

I got one for my daughter. It is much cuter than I thought it would be. I keep telling her that I am going to borrow it one day.
