Well then I'm not the first person that has been successful with Dooney...glad to hear it! I also got a $30 online gift card to use at disneystore.com for making a complaint to Disney about the medallion. I have received the credit and would strongly suggest you ladies pursue this also.

Did your medallion have the leather piece to attach to the purse?

I went straight to Dooney since I had read about all the run around they were giving everyone. It sounds like contacting Disney may be worth it!

Yes, the heart medallion is attatched the the leather loop strap.

Great, thanks! I started with Dooney too and forwarded the product descriptions and photos from the Disney store website. I went ahead and called Disney too to see what they were going to do...hence the store credit.

I have read thru a good number of pages and haven't seen this info...this is a long thread Anyways....what did you use for contact for disney store and dooney?? I tried doing the contact us on the disney store website and kept getting an error.

Disney just removed the heart from the photo of the Colette bag but it is still listed in the product details list Glad I printed that page out when it showed the heart in the picture

I hope I have the sketch bag with the 2 handles under the tree from DH. A Disney box was delivered last week I was told NOT to open.

I don't know anything about purses and have never in my 50 years spent this much money on one! But if I get one I hope it has the medallion others are talking about here.

If you do get one of the sketch bags you should be fine. (keeping my fingers crossed for you)

It's the balloon print bags that came without the heart hangtags, even though they were originally shown in the pictures and mentioned in the descriptions on the Disney shopping website.

Morning Disney Dooney friends - I've been cruising ebay this week and I'm noticing the pink crossbody bags are selling well below list price ($80 - $90). Anyone heard about fakes on ebay? Both bags I'm watching seem authentic - look like my pink wristlet, anyway. Thanks for the advice! Jennifer

PS - no word yet from my Dooney contact re: the medallion for my susanna and wristlet. DH faxed my Disney receipt to them and has confirmation that it went through - I'll keep you in the loop.

I know fakes and knockoffs are a huge problem for designers, but I doubt that anyone would bother trying to produce them in the Disney Dooney designs. I just don't think it's a large enough market for them to mess with. They tend to focus on designs that are not so stylized and that have a much broader appeal.

I think it's more likely that a few CM's are taking full advantage of their special holiday discount to make a little extra money selling on e-bay.

Or it could also be goofs like me who can't decide what they like best, but have realized they don't really need one of every Disney Dooney bag ever made.

I know folks have reported that they're pretty lenient about returns at WDW, but I haven't found that to be the case at Disneyland. I've sold a couple of handbags that were still NWT's, but that were past the return date, for a significant loss just because I decided I liked something else better.

I just received an email from The Disney Store asking me to rate my recent purchase. Do you think they really want to hear about how mad I am that neither Balloon bag had the D & B heart tag as advertised? I have decided to wait to do this and will work on perfecting expressing my dismay to them.

Any suggestions??

Check ebay. There's a cruise duffle/tote listed and the seller wants $599.99 for it. Search "disney dooney".
