Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

Hello Disney777! We were there the same time! Hot huh lol. Yes, just came back from Disney. Had nothing to worry about re: Finding my Sketch tote, they were all over the parks. I was going to buy one on Ebay but waited the whole Summer to buy it directly in Disney.

I looked in every store that sold DB for the mini wristlet in that rare purple color. It was my absolute favorite. The ONLY store that had 2 left in all of Disney was in MGM at "Once Upon A Time". (The pink & purple was gone from MK by the time I asked before I left) right on the way to the Tower of Terror Ride. They seemed to have alot of\ the styles and the ladies were very knowledgeable of all the Dooney Products. You should ask them for anything you are looking for, they said they can hunt for it in other stores. Happy Shopping!

Funny, I go about this time every year and it was actually a bit cooler than it has been in the past. But still hot. I think Earl helped us out a bit.
I hit every store looking for Dooneys, even the one in Yacht Club. Quite a big selection everywhere of the first 2 sets, but sadly lacking in the new color sketches. At this point, I really need to be picky about placement. I have so many Dooneys and I'm not even using them very much. My tote bags are being used to hold my other Dooneys!!! I don't know how many wristlets I picked through to find acceptable placement. I found the white sketch wristlets in particular have really bad pattern placement. They did a better job with the color wristlets. I think they tightened up the pattern.

So sad that my Fall WDW trip is over today. But I have a January trip already booked, so I guess I can't really complain.

Thats so funny Disney777, I went ot the Yacht Club too! I was sad w/the selection and wound up having dinner there to take up for the long bus trip.

I was also disapointed in the MK selection in general. Again I only got to heck at the end of my trip, and everyone must have bought bags before they left. I was just happy to use my Disney Visa, and get my 10% off! Your so lucky to be going again in January, ENJOY!

A few trips ago, I found a nice carriage necklace at YC that I didn't see anywhere else. After getting it, I decided I wanted to get one for my friend. I looked high and low with no luck. Haven't ever seen it again. So now I go in hopes of finding another hidden gem there. I slip out the back of EPCOT for a little sidetrip.

Oh no, sad to hear the white sketches have bad placement. That is what I want to look for when I go next month. I do agree they tightened the pattern on the colored sketch print so you get more images even on small items.

Hmmm... I wonder if that was me!!! I just got back from WDW today (8/29-9/11) I was planning to get a blue LC while at WDW (I bought a purple and pink at DLR, but decided to save the blue for my WDW trip. Was surprised to find no LCs anywhere at first, well, maybe MK had green and yellows.) Early in my trip, they didn't even have pink or purple wristlets. When those showed up, I decided to get a purple wristlet to appease my craving for a new Dooney. I bought the purple wristlet at MK, and was sporting my DL55 bags during some of my days there. My hair is down past my waist.

I did find one blue LC at DHS. The placement wasn't very good. It was probably a return, because it was the lone LC hanging in the display.
I talked to the CM at TrenD, and she said they were out of the LCs for a couple of weeks.

I was surprised at the lack of LCs at WDW, since they had a pretty good stock at Vault 28 and in DCA on August 27th. (Except for the DL55 LC. But I did manage to get mine that day, finally.) I'm going to DLR on Saturday, so will see how much stock they have.

I also ended up getting a blue wristlet at GF. I needed to get the blue!!! I rationalized it with the few % I saved on sales tax in FL vs CA! Plus the 20% AP discount that is supposed to expire on Sept 30, so I needed to take advantage of that.

Yes, it could have been you! The lady I saw had very long hair and if I recall correctly, she was with a rather tall gentleman. Do you have a tall husband? I'm glad you got your Dooney fix. You're lucky to be able to travel between both Disneyland and Disney World. I'm envious! By the way, I was at the passholder Tinkerbell screening this weekend and they announced that the passholder discount would be extended again through the end of January...so you can keep shopping for more discounted Dooneys.

OK...I guess I am handbag challenged...I don't know what this strap is for that is on the inside of my new pouchette that I ordered from Disney shopping.com...it's a leather strap with a little hook on the end of it...it's attached to the inside of the purse. What the heck is it for?

I put my keys on mine, I'm almost positive that's what it's for... wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong though...

You clip your keys to it so they don't get lost in the bag.

OK...I wondered if that's what it was for...the funny things is....it is such a small bag and I have keys for 3 cars, house key and a couple of key rings...there's NO chance of my keys getting lost in there!! In fact...if I threw my keys in the bag, there'd be room for little else!

The bag is so small you need to put your keys on the hook hanging outside the bag to be able to get other things inside the purse.

I LOVE that key hook! I only carry 1 key, my car key, and that hook saves me every time from digging for the darn thing!

I believe Premium get 20%; regular AP 10%.

You might want to wait until someone reports seeing a purple LC, any purple LC, back in stock again. I'm picturing your poor dad getting more and more frustrated on an impossible search.

I wish we had insider info on what's really up with that. I find it so curious that they removed purple LC's from the Disney Store website altogether, instead of keeping them listed, but on backorder. Hmmm

I'm no help with the AP discount, but I did make a purchase right behind someone who got a CM discount the other day. Her total: $109 and change; and for the exact same thing, my total: almost $169. I was definitely envious of that nice discount!

Good luck finding your purple letter carrier. I've been to Disney for about the last 3 weekends and have only seen green and yellow letter carriers at the MK. Hollywood Studios still didn't have any as of Sunday. However, there were still plenty of purple wristlets. I'm hoping the letter carriers all come back into stock with Minnie on them. Then I would exchange my blue one.

Last night at Uptown Jewelers in MK there were only green & yellow letter carriers. There were all colors of wristlets. There were no letter carriers at World of Disney.
