You might want to wait until someone reports seeing a purple LC, any purple LC, back in stock again. I'm picturing your poor dad getting more and more frustrated on an impossible search.

I wish we had insider info on what's really up with that. I find it so curious that they removed purple LC's from the Disney Store website altogether, instead of keeping them listed, but on backorder. Hmmm

I'm no help with the AP discount, but I did make a purchase right behind someone who got a CM discount the other day. Her total: $109 and change; and for the exact same thing, my total: almost $169. I was definitely envious of that nice discount!

The last time I checked they don't offer the purple wristlets on disneyshopping either. Ugh! Dad's going in October, we r going in December. I really hope they have purple by then.

Castmember discount is sweet. I had one several years ago and i think that was the saddest thing about leaving that job. We did some damage while we had it:rotfl and now we have 2 kids.

I would bet you could sell it for that. Check out the Facebook page, you might be able to save those pesky eBay fees.

I bought a large sketch tote off of ebay and received it today. When I opened the box I was not happy. The bag was used which I knew and I wanted to get a back up bag. I got this bag because of the placement and the price. There is no mention of it being a stock photo. Here is the listing:

Rachel, from reading the description, I would have assumed you were getting the bag pictured. As you mentioned, it does not say stock photos. Hopefully, you will get your money back since item wasn't as described or pictured.

yuck, not a fan at all of those. i hope this isnt a bad sign that disney is collaborating with a different handbag designer. im hoping this doesnt mean thats all this dooneys we will see. i mean, i doubt it with how well they sell

I commented on the facebook page before I saw the auction listing, but now that I've seen it, what I said goes double. I hope you can get it all worked out with the seller.

I don't like the Snow White bags at all, but I kind of like the design of the Minnie bag, and I think the red polka dot interior is fun. The leather/canvas combo is interesting though, I'd definitely need to see that in person before making up my mind. But even if I liked it, I don't think I could justify paying $200 for a canvas bag, designer or not.

Makes it a bit easier to justify the $250 price tag on the fabulous, softest leather I've felt, handbag I was lusting over in the store today though. Ya think?

I kind of like the bag. Isabella Fiore bags are pricey but honestly none of the Disney Dooney's are worth their prices either. Wonder if these Fiore bags are at the parks? I'll be at WDW in 39 days and would love to get a look at these in person.

I know I'm replying a bit out of order here, but I'm going to do it anyway.

Yes, I was referring to the extension of the passholder discounts (10% regular and premium 20%). They just keep extending it and with the economy as bad as it is, I don't understand why they don't just make it permanent.

Good luck finding your purple letter carrier. I've been to Disney for about the last 3 weekends and have only seen green and yellow letter carriers at the MK. Hollywood Studios still didn't have any as of Sunday. However, there were still plenty of purple wristlets. I'm hoping the letter carriers all come back into stock with Minnie on them. Then I would exchange my blue one.

I don't know, I already have a hard time trying to find all the images I want in good spots, especially on the wristlets. Adding another might make me nuts.

Yikes, since they still have a picture of the purple wristlet up, I never even noticed that you can't actually order it anymore. Hmmm, the plot thickens.

I worked at an upscale department store all through college. I got enough hours that money to pay for essentials shouldn't have been a problem, but there were times when I ate ramen noodles for a week straight because I was out of cash. I could have dressed in style to do it though. I definitely understand the lure of the employee discount.

im with ya there! im lusting after a marc by marc jacobs messenger thats almost $500 .. i saw it at saks and fell in love what makes it even more tempting is my saks credit card!! but, i leave for disney in 6 days and im waiting till i get back home and see what kinda damage i did on vacation!~

Just back yesterday to update you gals about purple LC they where no where in sight ( and boy did I looked for them ) no blue either only one where green and yellow ...looked everyday every park or stores ..came back with messenger tonal ( mickey silouhette ) and purple wristlet ...

I would contact the seller and request to return the bag, if she/he does not want to accept a return file a not as described complaint with paypal, they will request that you return the bag with signature confirmation and they will give you your money back. Just make sure you have that signature confirmation and you'll be good to go.

Yes, it could have been you! The lady I saw had very long hair and if I recall correctly, she was with a rather tall gentleman. Do you have a tall husband? I'm glad you got your Dooney fix. You're lucky to be able to travel between both Disneyland and Disney World. I'm envious! By the way, I was at the passholder Tinkerbell screening this weekend and they announced that the passholder discount would be extended again through the end of January...so you can keep shopping for more discounted Dooneys.

Yes, that was me! hee hee. I was with one of my Disney buddies, and he's 6'5"!! (Left hubby at home to take care of the dogs, since he doesn't like heat or crowds.)

Sorry, I didn't quote the original message. I don't terribly mind the Minnie Mouse bag, but would definitely want to see it in person before buying. Not a fan of the bow, but the polka dot inside is neat. Agree with PP though who wondered if there will be no more Dooneys.

You're absolutely right. It is pretty whereas I too don't think of my D&B as "pretty". (As much as I love it though.)
