Don't stand so close to me...

your best possibility in finding me now is if your staying at Paradise pier hotel or Grand California and using a binocular and looking into DCA or DIsneyland... :D

Something with the monorail? :confused3 I'm stumped! Hmmmmm. . . you're a sneaky little chipmunk! :cool2:

I hear they have a new Tinkerbell on the highwire........

Gotta watch those pillows at the end.

another thing i want to mention is many of us just dont have the time either. Many of us who are actually walking around are heading to take our breaks and lunches. I was giving breaks to my listed carts when i was approached by a lady saying there is this drunkin guy that should be kicked out of the park. This is on New Years Eve and i was already behind due to the heavy crowding, i cant watch him, i cant find security, its really out of my control. i just have to let it go and hope she will tell someone with a phone or security.

I have empathy but, I would here must be some sort of chain of command. I popped a guy two years ago for being a major hole around my family and others. Everyone was just putting up with this fool and he took the first swing. I bet you security was there in a couple of minutes and the Anaheim police in 5 minutes. It took 4 hours out of my day to explain myself and sign the reports. Right thing to do...yes and not really, but if the CM's do not step up the plate and summon a LEAD or other responsible person, than Disneyland is going to turn out like Magic Mountain, what a scum hole.

There are the sheep, the Wolves and the guarddogs. I come to Disneyland not be a guard dog but to have fun and escape the rest of the world.

Jack

PS My Mom at 86 is in better shape than what I have seen of Disneyland security.

Disneyland security is a bit of an oxymoron. Granted I'm referring to the old guys that stroll around and tell kids not to sit on the railing. Disneyland has a lot of undercover guys that can be tough to spot from time to time. I've gotten pretty good since they usually travel alone and take the tourist dress code to the Nth degree. Look for the walkie talkie and the earpiece. Dead giveaway.

Jack,
I congratulate you on getting into a fight at Disneyland. We're all very proud of you. I made a slight correction to your statement.

There are the sheep, the wolves, the guard dogs, and the jerks who get into fights at Disneyland.

Most of us just walk away with our dignity in tact.

This of course brings me to a new classification and brings the thread back to the topic at hand once again.

  NEW CLASSIFICATION!!!

25. The Champ - This is the person who does a little too much sticking up for himself. Where most people would just walk away, this person decides to see how far it will go. They know the other person is about to get violent so they help them cross that threshold. Though he may be "The Champ" there are no winners in this situation. Just the poor people who have to witness this behavior and explain to their children why grown men are duking it out at Disneyland without the aid of alcohol.

A fight at DL? I've seen many things over the hundreds of times I have been in the park but I have never seen a full-fledged fight. Wow.

I'm not one to take too much BS but I have a hard time trying to think of something a fellow visitor at DL could say to me that would make me want to take a swing at them.

It was not much of a fight, it may have lasted 30 seconds. I am not proud of what happened....a number of people stood there and applauded, the guy was a real jerk and he was removed from the park, I was not. A 60 y.o. man against a 30 y.o. fool...

For the Cornhusker...
Look what has happened to the world when people won't stand up to bullies? Enablers at work! For me, I am an HONEST person and stand up for my rights(and if need be, yours) whether it is Disneyland, Afganistan(where I work half the year) or your hometown. End of my participation in this thread.

Have a great day,

Jack

I have an additional classification, the person who feels the need to put their hands down the back of their pants and scratch at whatever goody they have found hiding out in their crack.

I have seen toddlers pull this number, but I have also seen way too many teens and (technically speaking) grown ups mining their san adreas fault line.

So, to all those Crack Addicts out there who can't miss a day at the park or a day of poking their fingers where no finger should tread, the Purell corporation owes you a debt of gratitude. Due to the nasty habits of some the rest of us purchase their products in commercial sized vats and use it constantly while at Disneyland.

Lord knows I'd thrown a few in my day and history will prove that I accomplished nothing except being banned from a dive bar and a scar on my knuckle in the shape of fat guy's tooth. I agree that there are bullies and they exist because people allow themselves to be bullied. Ultimately these schmucks are looking for an audience and it's up to us not to give them one wich is why I always recommend walking away. I always stand up for myself and I'm not afraid of anybody which may be the reason I have such a non-chalant attitude towards those who think they can get a rile out of me.

I'm going to turn down the frustration on this post and get back to what it's supposed to be about. We're making fun of obnoxious people in a cheeky manner.

26. Crack Addicts - They dig in their butt. It's gross. Either start buying underpants that fit better or go into the bathroom to do your digging. Seriously people.

Crack Addicts, I like it. I hope this is not too graphic but what about the infamous "Air Jordans", the in-line public ball-handlers... this is a common occurance and can be pretty disturbing! LOL!

I have not read the whole thread but I have a few of my own to add.

1) When you find a decent spot to watch HSM and your kids are infront of you, but you decide to leave a bit of space for other "little" kids to better see the show and a couple that is 20-something buts infront of you and makes it so you can not see and then they proceed to do what I will add as complaint #2. So you people shoving their way past you to take your spots! GRRRRRRRRRRRR and shame on them!

2) All the public displays of affection! I think its okay and even cute to hold hands and maybe kiss a bit, by why.....WHY must the couples with no kids Groap eachother inappropriatly!! and stand there in front of my children doning things that should only be done in the bedroom at Disneyland?? I had some seriously 'splainin to do to my children with it all I was seriously pissed off!

As for the space invaders WOW was is ever bad there! I am seriously afraid to ever consider going to DLR during the "busy" season if it was that bad during the "slow" season I can not imagine how bad it would be during the busy season.!

I decided early on not to go there.

I think part of the "crack addicts" could also be all of the butt cracks you see around the parks. PULL YOUR PANTS UP! Or wear a longer shirt. No one wants to see that. I especially don't like seeing 6 butt cracks all getting off Space Mountain at the same time. UGH! Nasty.

Yes with current fashion trends I have noticed quite a few more butt cracks in the parks. Not to mention the people who are just going to slip a crack out regardless of which decade it is and then you have the real plumbers and drywallers visiting and they are inevitably going to add to the butt crack gene pool.

I notice alot more females with butt crack flowing, and then I get in trouble just because I happened to notice it!:rotfl:

Last time I did drywall I sealed a nearby crack. My friend didn't think it was funny as I did.

Oh ya, the crack addicts. If you have to pull your pants up when you stand up then obviously they don't fit! LOL Mine are low rise but not THAT low rise!! And I wear longer shirts too so hopefully no one can see MY crack! LOL I love the girls who walk around with their pants falling down, their shirts riding up and no care in the world....so sad.....

People act the way they do because there is no accountability anymore, people are afraid to set in because they might get hurt, or they might get sued. I personally am glad to know that there are people out there who still stand up for others and what's they believe in. I watched part of a WWYD program on Nightline last night, I was very happy to see the people jumping to the defense of the *homeless* people that the boys were *attacking*. I really think we need more accountability in our society, then maybe others would think twice about some of the things they do.

Jack, I appreciate everything you do for my freedoms and for our country!! I am Thankful everyday for those who risk their life for our freedoms. I would hve cheered for you I'm sure. And no, I don't support violence or fighting either but sometimes you do what you gotta. AND the other guy swung first, you can believe that if someone else swings first just about everyone I know (male and female) will swing back. :)

Quest, this is still the BEST thread I've ever read! LOL

I just got done watching that Primetime special (I DVRed it.) We called the cops once when we saw two homeless people duking it out outside the groceries store in Santa Ana.

I also stepped in once when I saw two children (baby and toddler) sleeping inside an SUV in their carseats while the parents had lunch inside a restaurant. The parents were NOT happy with me. The dad was cusing and swearing at me. Whatever. It was Christmas Eve for God's sake! And you just don't leave your kids in the car under any circumstances. Of course, the cop I saw driving by that I told...did nothing. "They are right inside the restaurant and they can see the car." I'm sorry but that is not acceptable to me!

Okay...I'm rambling and venting and it's off topic. But man does my blood boil everytime I think of that!!

Ooh! I know! You paint the tops of the flag poles! :)

So here's something I've encountered at the parks that I find annoying.

People right outside the bathroom stall while I'm trying to pee. It's usually kids, but not always. I get "stage fright" if someone is standing right there. I can see their feet. I can see them through the cracks between the door. Sometimes they even lean on my door. I once had a child practically underneath my door while I was in there.

And another time I looked up to see an eyeball watching me through the crack! Seriously. It looked like this...

Some little girl was watching me pee!! She wasn't very old though...so I just said "hi".....haha.

Seriously people...do you need to have a party right outside my stall door??
