I hear you...... I think I could get really excited about Halloween at Disney. I was even cooking up some ideas on costumes. I had already plotted out an orange and black Cinderella gown for Katie and she LOVED the idea! I was going to make a fancy masquerade mask to go with it.
Maybe I better make some ADR's just to cover myself........
Go ahead and make the ADR's! It's so much fun! All of those possibilities sound good to me, but the idea of the orange and black Cinderella gown is almost too good to be true. Not to mention, that at Halloween, you can dress up, too! Chances are the weather will be less hot and humid this October. No guarantees, but I think that one year was a little unusual. You know, October 1st is the 40th anniversary of WDW. It's pretty exciting to imagine being there for that! November would be lovely, too, though!
I was so pleasantly surprised to see the photos. After having done it a couple times without photopass there, it was a real gift to have that glimpse into the experience.
Your pictures of the Grand Floridian are amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing it in person in Sept.
Now, I'm looking forward to seeing Katies' next outfit
Fabulous trip report! Wow her costumes are truly amazing. I was showing my husband and he is like "She wore that? To Disney World? Wasn't she hot!?" Lol...you can tell we have never gone anytime but late spring/summer!

This tea party drives me nuts for one reason. No parents. I love this sort of thing and would love to just be a fly on the wall watching Alice and the Mad Hatter interacting with the kids. I wouldn't even want to be in the middle of things. Just a little fly on the wall with a camera and a long zoom lens!
I have always sent a point and shoot camera in with Katie, but honestly, they are so busy having fun, she never has taken many photos. In the past, she came out with one posed photo with Alice and the Mad Hatter. And a few photos of the table decorations, but then nothing else.
This time I was quite pleasantly surprised to find out they had photopass photographers in the room with them. Did it really need to take them 2 years to figure that out????
LOVE her in that dress! It's my favorite of all the cute princess dresses I see in TRs. She's gorgeous in it.
The Alice/Mad Hatter party looked like so much fun. You have me wishing I could lose about twenty years or so just to go there myself! Looks like she had a wonderful time. She really has a beautiful smile.
If you figure out how to turn back the clock, let me in on it. I'd love to go to the tea party too! 
I honestly forgot about it until I went through the photos again. I'd say maybe I can take my grandkids one day, but they'll have to push me into the Grand Floridian in a wheelchair and wake me from my nap to even know it's going on! Katie and I don't always agree on which one we like best, but the red Belle was definitely the favorite for both of us this time! I made it last spring once we knew we would be going at Christmas time. But I didn't get the flowers and bows done until right before the trip. I swear it took as long to make all those little flowers as it did to make the entire dress! 
I would love to see your custom costumes in person!!!
The tea party looks like so much fun! I wish we had time for it during our October trip, but we are already trying to squeeze too mush in! I may have to wait for grandkids to take there, too!

I know that in past years (according to mousesavers site) they have had discount codes for our dates, but they weren't released to the general public until August. So we are going regardless, but hoping to be able to add a pin to our reservation in August!
We Might overlap-we are arriving October 15 for a 4 night stay to celebrate Kendall's 8th birthday on the 16. She was nice enough to wait and be born after Columbus day so we can avoid those crowds!
Katie's birthday is the end of September. We were there on her birthday in 09, but I don't want to do that again. Too hot. I know the odds aren't much better 2 weeks later, but it's the best we can do if we do October. He said "How's today?" So of course, then I got all nervous and said "Tomorrow's fine...." As it was I had been pregnant 3 1/2 weeks longer than I had on the first one. And those were some really long weeks.........
