Safe travels and hopefully I'll see you on September 1st (when I return from helping Jeanne set up her classroom and be a teacher's aide for the first week of school).

Don't remind me...when I get back I have to set up a new science lab and help get my wife's room ready

Short summer here

I just woke up to an email that stated that our MBs were on their way via UPS!!!! If this is indeed a "test" and MBs are meant to be re-usaeable then it is interesting that we are getting two sets for our "continuing" reservation (2 nights had to be reserved separately to get separate discounts). I suppose that is what "tests" are for....

We are putting our close to 20 year old cat to sleep this afternoon. :sad1: Our girls don't know yet and the 13 year old will be devastated. ...

From high to rock bottom in one post... Very exciting about the bands!

I am so, so sorry. We had to put my cat to sleep last summer (she was almost 19 -- I had her before I even met my husband), and I'm crying here for you. I wish you the best this afternoon.

Hi everyone! We are checking in on Friday, 26Jul and I can't figure out if we are going to have a fridge or not. Does anyone know the current status of the swap-outs? Or have the phone number for the BC that I can call and ask??

Thanks in advance!

morning friends!!! Enjoying my last cup of coffee out on the balcony here at the beach club. Speaking of coffee... I spied with my little eye two giant joffreys urns being installed in the marketplace yesterday.

We are off to hs this morning. It will be so sad to leave this afternoon but it is time. The good news about going at a breakneck speed is that you (almost) welcome the return to a slower pace.

One of the highlights of this trip has been hearing my teenager declare several times that this has been the best vacation ever.

What more can I ask?

Love this! Enjoy your last day :)

If you're going to be around on August 1st, we'll be at Typhoon Lagoon all day. We'll get there when it opens and have one of the reserved spots reserved. August 2nd her Highness has lunch with Jake the Pirate and the Gang at Hollywood and Vine at 1:25 PM so we'll be spending most of the day there. It will be Mickey Mouse Playhouse over and over again with a Beauty and the Beast show in between. Not sure but on July 31st, if she isn't too tired from traveling the night before, we'll probably take her over to Animal Kingdom for the parade ... her favorite!!

Sounds like a great lineup for a little princess :) Hope you have a great time! Hopefully, my girls will get to see you on the 18th if you are working. They are looking forward to trading for your mystery pin.

Hi all,

Quick question. We will be at the BC 8/21-8/27. Our flight is @6pm and we will have a car so I am expecting to be able to hang at the pool to. 3:30 or so. Am I allowed to be at SAB even though we officially checked out?

That is the BEST!!! Safe journey home Dee...

I an so sorry. 20 years is such a long time to have been blessed with a wonderful pet. It is so hard to make that decision. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Yes, you have access to everything at the hotel until midnight of your check out day. If you are staying Club Level, you can also use the lounge that day.

I'm glad you had such a fabulous trip, but I'm sad I didn't get to say hello. We're off to Epcot this morning with lunch at Les Chefs de France. Not sure about our afternoon plans yet. Have a great, safe trip home!

Good morning live from the BC CL lounge! I'm enjoying my bowl of oatmeal and a Danish in a very quiet and empty lounge! What a nice change. It's usually hustling and bustling.

We are moving a little slowly this morning. Didn't get back from MK until 12:50. We hung around to see Kiss Goodnight. It was so magical! I'll post a video when we return home. My husband brought our youngest back to watch Teen Beach Movie. They gave out cute beach balls.

I think we are heading over to AK to ride EE today. We are having dinner at 'Ohana tonight. Last night we had dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. It was delicious!

Hey Buzzy, I'm still here! Let's not play hide and seek today, okay?

Off to go wake up our oldest!
Bye!

I just stopped in there around the same time. We probably passed each other. LOL Enjoy EE. I love that ride!!

Sad to hear that your trip is almost over, but the fact that your teenager thinks it is the best trip ever is terrific!! Good planning, Mom! :thumbsup2

And thanks for the GREAT news about the coffee!!!!!! :woohoo: We often travel with our mini Keurig because we like good coffee. I think we might be able to do without it this trip. :goodvibes

Lots of you are getting new Magic Bands. How exciting! Can't wait to read your take on how they work. It is a huge change in technology for Disney so I hope it goes well. When I was in WDW for a few days in April I got my new AP and was able to get the RFID version. It works so well that I have great hopes for the new MBs. :goodvibes

FANTASTIC!!! I'll buzz on by the pool later if you're taking a dip. I'm in line at RnR coaster with fast passes for 500 larva. People are giving us dirty looks but they don't realize we all fit in one seat!

Pbbbbttt......

We took our first WDW trip in 2005, the kids were 4 & 6 then. We went again about a year and a half later and after that we pretty much started to plan our lives around Disney! :rotfl: Since then we have gone once about every 8-12 months and will take our 10th WDW trip next month. :goodvibes It's an addiction, I admit it!! DH wasn't too on board at first, but now he loves it just about as much as I do. I personally am ready to start experiencing other places, but the rest of the family is perfectly content to continue to return to WDW every vacation. (I did talk them into 2 days at the beach this upcoming trip!) So if that's what they want to do, who am I to complain?!! :teeth: It's our place I guess, we all feel very comfortable there. Our kids could navigate the Orlando airport alone if they had to, as well as getting on the Magical Express bus, the resorts, the parks, the park buses, all of it. We sometimes take short trips to other places, but have never really had a major vacation anywhere else since going to WDW. :)

Thanks for sharing! Yes, This is not my DHs idea of a vacation...:rotfl2: Although, last time we stayed off property so I think the BC CL might be a great way to turn him into a WDW lover! (thats my plan anyway...::yes::)

I'm struggling a bit with Disney balance myself. Disney is an easy vacation for us -- we know how to manage it, and this will be our 4th trip. Vacation planning falls to me as does managing everything while we're there, and that's not really a vacation! :) Still, I feel like we should be taking the boys other places more often, although last year we went to Boston, two years ago it was DC, three years ago the beach in NC. We've been to Maine and Baltimore for weekends and seen family in upstate NY. I hope that helps!

What NC beach? That is where all of our vacations are...:rotfl2: Thanks for sharing!:)

About every 3 years now...at one time it was once or twice a year and that got too much! Had our honeymoon there (WL) and our oldest DD13 will be on her 8th trip this time! We are former DVC members- discovered that Disney always offers discounts and our trips have always equalled what we would "pay" in dues each year added up over the amount of time it has been since we've gone. We like to go other places now, most especially the Virgin Islands. This FP+ stuff may cause our WDW vacations to space out more though...waiting to see what the fallout is. That and I would love to see more of the real world.

I was wondering about that?:confused3 Now I would love to hit the Virgin Islands when my kids are a little older.:thumbsup2

We alternate between a Disney vacation one year and a non-Disney (typically city-based) vacation the next year. I purposely do this so DH doesn't get "Disney-ed out," which is a real possibility with him. We also alternate between Disneyland and Disneyworld on our Disney trips, so we end up with Disneyworld trips about 4 years apart. If we lived within a day's drive of Disneyworld (we are in Colorado,) I have no doubt I would be there a couple of times a year, not sure about my family though ;). We are visiting Disneyworld this October, and my kids are currently 12 and 9, so I figure we still have at least one more Disney trip on each coast before they graduate from high school :goodvibes

I would worry about this with DH if I tried to go more than every couple of years!:scared1:

To save money for all these trips I only feed my children 3 times a week. I figure that they can grow on their own time after they age out at 18 and have to get a real job. Come to think of it... maybe we SHOULD take that "Hidden Dumpsters of Hollywood Studios" tour so we can put a little more meat on their bones.

But seriously we bought annual passes and the Tables in Wonderland Card to save 20% on those special nights when we dine out at a Table service. We also hit Walmart for our in room breakfasts and snacks and water, not to mention Beer and soda. When it's hot out we don't feel like putting away the chow like we do when it's cold. This saves us a ton of time and money because we aren't tied to the dining reservation schedule and we can eat when we want and be more spontaneous with our time.

We fly Southwest or "El Cheapo" air whenever we can and we only book when we can get a room only discount.

Some of my trips don't involve dragging the family down (GIRLS TRIPS :cool1: :woohoo: ) and 1 trip is being paid for by Grandpa. We get him really drunk and then we get a hold of the credit card in his wallet. See that previous post of mine about getting people drunk and then how it's much easier to get them to agree with you.....

~NM

This might be my new strategy!!!:cool1:

Now I know this isn't the Beach Club but this is my fav drink at our local haunt
Watermelon martini

That looks great! That isn't Bonefish by chance?!? One of our favorite places and great martinis!!:thumbsup2
