We're in- our cards were never scanned at IG, yet we were still able to use them for FP at TT. Very confusing how that was able to happen. Glitches all around maybe.

That's what we were saying as we were all waiting for the system to come back up!! Great minds think alike! Crowds of people were already let in before us then we were held up for 25 minutes until they just let us go in too. They did do manual counting I suppose for capacity but no real checking.

Well, for me, a great perk of staying at BC/YC/BWI/S&D is the IG entry...and let's face it....90% of people entering Epcot on any given morning head straight to Soarin'. Their glitch held you up while I assume the people at the front of the park flooded the ride. For me, that'd be a waste of getting up early. You get up early and get over there so you can get easy access to rides like Soarin,' TSM, Space Mountain etc.

This question might seem like a no-brainer, but according to the Disney website, YC rooms say they can come with 2 queens, 1 queen and daybed/couch or 1 king and daybed/couch. With 3 people (all adults) on our reservation, we'd definitely get a room with 2 queens....right? RIGHT?

Sounds like you received the info you were looking for about online check-in. The only thing I want to add is that you can do the advanced on-line registration ANY TIME after the 60 days prior to your trip. So if it looks like the magic bands and FP+ are going to come into play for your dates, or if there is another reason you decide you want to do it, you can check in at that time.

Okay, my husband thinks I'm crazy, but I know all of you would understand. We just got back from Disney World last Wednesday. School starts for my daughter on Aug. 21st. We have premier passes because we upgraded our Disneyland premium passes when we were in Florida. I want some use out of them before they expire on Dec. 28. It is hard to plan during the school year, even for a weekend trip, soooooo....I thought it would be fun to slip in a mini-trip to Disneyland from Aug. 13-16th. We would drive (6 hours) and stay in a cheap motel to keep costs down. Is that crazy or just normal for someone who hangs on the Disboards?

Thanks to everyone who supported my Disney insanity!!! I knew I could count on you. I especially love the comment about telling my husband that my imaginary friends support me. LOL. However, I've decided to be responsible and mature for the moment(this rarely happens and especially when Disney is involved). We are still going to do another trip before the passes expire, but I think we will wait until November since it is not financially the best decision right now. I will live vicariously through all of my "imaginary" friends until we are able to return to my happy place. Thanks.

Been trying to catch up but a couple of days away from the thread and holy moly!

Qucik question: So I promised my youngest DD that I would go on Rock n Roller Coaster this time .....I'm really not a fan of roller coasters at all mainly b/c I tend to get dizzy and nauseated and I'm afraid of heights. HOWEVER, a promise is a promise and I know this isn't your trypical high rise coaster AND truth be told, I cannot chicken out this time . I actually thought about having a Sunken Treasure or two BEFORE I do get on that thing, to calm the nerves of course , but after really thinking about it - not sure that would be my brightest move so now plan B, is to have a Sunken Treasure or two AFTER I ride .

Now...... anyone recommend a good motion sickness product that actually works that won't make me drowsy ?

So squeaky wheel gets free FP. I went to Guest Relations, explained what happened earlier, I saw a sprinkling of Pixie Dust & a carbon copy of a complimentary pass to any attraction. YAYY!! We're using it on Soarin'. Already rode TT twice. Once standby & used FP second time.

Studios was down also, but they were scanning manually. For some off reason our new style scanners were working though ???? Heard a suit type saying that only few of the new scanner things were working at ALL of the parks !!!

Well, once at POR we were given 1 king -- with 2 adults and 2 children. It took some time, but they did sort it out for us in the end and we got 2 queens. I'm sure YC would do the same!

anymore news on the fridge situation?

I had a fridge when I arrived on 7/25. As we were walking down our hallway there were empty boxes with pictures of fridges on them off to the side. This was the YC side.

With the 30% off discount I was able to upgrade our room at the yacht club from a garden room to a lagoon/pool view. I was fine with a garden view/standard view but with the discount it wound up being 600 dollars less with the view (go figure) so I had no choice but to switch

I'm not a huge fan of elevators are you able to get a lagoon/pool view on the 2nd floor so I can take the staircase up there to my room?

Everyone in my family uses it while we are at the Dark Side, which has more intense and extreme rides.

RnR is really not too bad. You don't feel like you are going upside down. My 12 year old was afraid, but tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and really liked it.
