Must be crossing paths with wdwgirl and syndrome today. Spent the day in Epcot, hit SAB around 4:00 finding a couple of chairs on the upper deck thingy with a visit to HH and then back to the room when the thunder rolled in. Enjoyed some apps and Shakira oh so kindly kicking some bare chested bathing suit wearing teen out of the lounge. Hooray for civil behavior! Anyone going to HS tomorrow?

And our wall of "Good Night" cards. These are our turndown service cards from the GF and BWI. We thought them appropriate for the bedroom.

(complete with Henry, posing au natural for Ninja Mom).

What a cool idea for the turn down cards!!! ....And that getting stuff off of Ebay is genius!

As for Henry he looks like he had one too many "kitty" Sunken Treasures!

Apps were great tonight ....... Bacon wrapped sausage things, mmmm !
Yes we are doing the "mandatory day at HS even though we don't feel like going, but the kids do " Hollywood Studios tomorrow as well ! We are going for rope drop, then going downtown for lunch at Raglin Road . Then MAYBE back to HS to do some rides while Fantasmic is going on .

Waiting to see if SAB is going to open so we can do some swimming ( and a ST) tonight !

See who's sharing the chair with Princess Lily? I think this is why she always says that Nanny and Pop Pop live with Mickey. (I'm assuming this Mickey is kept in their house.)

Hey WDWgirl, what is the view from your 5th floor room? Maybe we are facing each other ? We are directly above Cape May Cafe on the corner facing the courtyard and SAB . 3rd floor .

I was going to post on the room views board, but since you asked...
We're facing EPCOT - can see Illuminations high fireworks. Can also see BW- been watching the boats do their rounds.
We're currently waiting for storm to pass to play mini golf hopefully soon. Ya think room service can deliver a Sunken Treasure?? Haha.

Okay, my husband thinks I'm crazy, but I know all of you would understand. We just got back from Disney World last Wednesday. School starts for my daughter on Aug. 21st. We have premier passes because we upgraded our Disneyland premium passes when we were in Florida. I want some use out of them before they expire on Dec. 28. It is hard to plan during the school year, even for a weekend trip, soooooo....I thought it would be fun to slip in a mini-trip to Disneyland from Aug. 13-16th. We would drive (6 hours) and stay in a cheap motel to keep costs down. Is that crazy or just normal for someone who hangs on the Disboards?

Not crazy at all!!

Wouldn't it be really super awesome if it were served in the green pail from HH?? LOLOL. With a straw of course.

This reminds me of the time I was with DD for New Years Eve at Pleasure Island (when the beach themed dance place was there beachcomber I think)... We ordered the beach bucket of premium liquor with 2 straws.... So much fun when you vacation with your daughter who is old enough to drink with you!!!

Thanks for that memory!!

Just came back from SAB as we arrived mid afternoon a kind soul heard me say that we needed to find a chair. He kindly offered that they were leaving and we could have theirs. A DISer I bet ! I had my first (but not my last) Sunken Treasure. That is a dangerous drink!!!! Now we're off to Via Napoli for dinner :)
Enjoy!!
A few of you asked, and I'll oblige.

Here are some pics of our bedroom and guest room.

The thing is...Ebay is a wonderful thing. On there, I found this BC roll pillow, and voila! Our bedroom winks at a BC, BWI theme.

Here's the bed...

Our bureau, which has our painting of BWI and a carousel music box my parents gave me a long time ago....

And our wall of "Good Night" cards. These are our turndown service cards from the GF and BWI. We thought them appropriate for the bedroom.

And now our guest room which is waaaaay more a blatant copy of one of our favorite resorts on this thread. I found this lamp on Ebay which most of you will recognize from YC.

And I had a deep red pillow...and we usually keep white sheets/blankets on the bed, so add a $20 navy blue blanket from Home Goods and you get our guest bed (complete with Henry, posing au natural for Ninja Mom).

I love it :thumbsup2

So cute!

:wave2: everyone! Can't believe I leave Tuesday for Seattle flight Wednesday!
My girlfriends decided they'd like a trip down to Seattle seeing as I'm going, :rotfl2: so I booked us all a 1 bedroom suite for the night and we will have a Seattle day before I go.

If anyone's wondering, hubs is staying home to deal with our renovations ( I think my head will be ringing for quite some time with jackhammer ing). And our pets too :rolleyes1. Florida just isn't his thing!

:laundy: and packing like a fiend! 9 days in Lauderdale, then WDW here we come! I think that calls for a 3 banana dance!:banana::banana:

Dee thanks so much for putting up the schedule for August!! They look like great movies! I may have to watch one or 2 with a sunken treasure of course! What time does that pool bar close???

WDWgirl413 - Nice pics - we had a room (if not that room) on the same hallway a few years ago. Absolutely decent view of Illuminations! Enjoy.

OK - now my problem - I can't get through on the phone to Disney to pay my balance. "All circuits are busy" all day. My 45 day mark is Saturday and balance is due. Congrats to all those who booked the fall special. Hoping Disney travel is not as busy tomorrow so I can pay my package balance. We are excited. :cool1:

Teena - Hope you are having a wonderful visit with Lily and Jeanne. princess:

Shoot, i just realized i know nothing about the QS dining options. We"ll need some place for breakfast each morning, but not a TS meal.......I love having a food court and having all the different options; is there something like that at each? Also, when we arrive we will be ready for lunch (YC). What QS options are there at YC? I know this info is all onthe first page bit i got overwhelmed looking at it, lol.
We're not on the DDP, ftr.

Fyi, I have my TS dinners booked: Captains Grille, Cape May, and San Angel Inn.

So, what would you do? Cape May character breakfast or the club lounge? Anything special about Cape May that would justify the cost of a character buffet over the (already paid for) lounge breakfast?

I have one answer - bacon. :lmao: Cape May has bacon and Mickey waffles and all kinds of goodies. We usually had breakfast at Cape May on our departure day. It was nice to be able to relax and not rush off to a park. :goodvibes

You can't really compare a continental breakfast to a delicious breakfast buffet. It all depends on what kind of breakfast you like to eat. After a week of eating a light breakfast, we were glad to finally get some real food. :goodvibes

It is easier just to post a link to a very detailed list of dining options that Dee put together on the first page of this thread:

Dining at the Beach and Yacht Club

The closest food court will be at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot. The deluxe resorts don't have food courts like the mods and values do. :) But one of the nice things about staying at the BC/YC is how easy it is to walk into Epcot and grab something there.

Scott MC- I love rooms ! Especially all the little touches! So cool! Thanks for sharing!:thumbsup2

So... now that we have re-confirmed our stay at BC this October... :cool1:

I have a question about where we should have breakfast our first morning there. We'll be arriving on the 23rd, around lunchtime, and plan on first playing around in the resort for a bit, then off to MK - dinner at LTT at 6:30, then stay til fireworks. :goodvibes

On Thursday, 10/24, we're doing MNSSHP - :yay: - so we're going to take it easy during the day. I'd planned on us spending a casual day at Epcot - booked a 8:00am ADR at Cape May, then head on over to the park until early pm (with lunch either at Sunshine Seasons or somewhere at F&W). But since we're CL, I'm wondering if we should take the seriously LBO and just saunter down to the lounge to grab an easy breakfast? We've never done Cape May, so I thought it would be fun (and easy since we'll be staying at BC), but we're already doing a few other character breakfasts later in the week. I figure we should try to take advantage of the club lounge as much as we can - right now we're only eating breakfast there two or three times.

Are you doing the DDP? If not, & u don't want another character meal, just go over to Captians Grille. It's the exact same breakfast buffet without the characters or you can order from the menu. It's much cheaper & nice & quiet.

Yay! Finished the girls blinged shoes, just in time. And finished the last of the shirts over the weekend...

So no votes for the club lounge? We're not doing DDP, and we've already got 4 other character breakfasts scheduled, so we'll have plenty of opportunities for Mickey waffles and bacon. :)

What exactly IS served in the club lounge? I figured we'd at least get a halfway decent start on the day. Hadn't even considered Captain's Grille, but even though that would be less, the lounge breakfast would cost us nothing at all. ;)

I have lots of pictures to post, but I am still organizing them

Breakfast is hot oatmeal with add in toppings, hard boiled eggs, muffin (selection changes daily), pastry (selection changes daily), fruit, yogurt, bagels, croissants, assortment of cereals. Variety of drinks.

I vote for the lounge breakfast since you have four other character breakfasts planned. We usually only do one nice breakfast buffet per trip. :)
