Don't Mess With My Toot Toot!! A Wigd and gang TR/PTR Upd: 12/7 pg.60 Going WILD!

So much fun and creativity! Love it! I hope you have a great time sharing it with your kids this year, I hope it started off well! I have a feeling we are all going to need those few days off in October!!! :thumbsup2

Anita -

Just like last year, I wish I was a student in your classroom! I think you officially have the coolest classroom - EVER!!!!!!!

Love it! Great Job! :thumbsup2

Anita, your classroom looks great! I bet the kids love it!
The main thing is that I love it! I just hope it inspires them to learn!
Love the theme of the room! Great job!
Thanks, it was fun dreaming up the different areas.
Anita, I love your classroom!!!
2nd graders are friends not food! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:
Share a story with Dory. :)
The starfish is too cute!
Nice work on the boat, Marc!
I'm sure your kids are loving it!! Hope all is going well! :goodvibes

Jen, hope all is going well for you, too! Share your pics whenever you can! :goodvibes
I've had kids come in from the previous years just to check out the theme! It's just fun to see their reactions too!
Happy belated birthday Harper!!!!

Oh my goodness, Anita I love how you decorated your room!!! Hollie would pass out!!
I haven't had anyone pass out yet. Hollie would be my first!
LOVE the classroom Anita! You and Marc did a great job!
It's one way to get excited about school starting!
Love the classroom pictures!! That makes me excited to learn just looking at them!
It just makes me excited for a new school year to decorate the room in a cute Disney theme!
What a cute classroom! How long will the decorations be up in the room?
Thanks! I'll leave it up all year. They are supposed to paint my walls, I may do more Nemo work and leave it up next year. Not sure yet.
OMG Anita...you are like the coolest teacher ever...well maybe = to Jen ;) and Jackie and....

can I go back to 2nd grade? love it :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Thanks! Second grade is a really fun year! Having a Nemo room just makes it even better!
Great job on your classroom Anita!!!!!
Thanks so much, it was fun putting it together!
Oh my goodiness, soooooo cute. Avery would love to be one of your students!!! All those books, abd such cute decor. Great job!!
It was fun collecting the Nemo plushes and other decorations for the room. I even spent some time making some of the stuff. I now have a group of kids bringing in shower scrubbies and making jellyfish. I am supplying the yarn! Send Avery on out to Kansas and I'd be happy to have her!
It all looks great! :cool1:
I never got around to making my boat.
I am boatless. :boat:
Which is probably good, because there will be days I would be tempted to jump into the boat and speed away. ;)
The kids are a much better group this year, so I am having a good time with them, but TN has created this involved new teacher evaluation system that is going to be a monumental headache.

Anyway, we'll escape the craziness and enjoy our time under the sea this year. :fish:
Got any clue what you'll do next year? I am thinking Mickey and Minnie on safari, maybe.
We got a new evaluation system last year that involved finding several pieces of "evidence" for your teaching of standards. Plus writing a reflection of your lesson. It seemed to go on and on.... and yes, it was my year for a formal eval! I was lucky though, my principal is very kind and was more than happy to walk all of us through the process.
I'm half tempted to keep up Nemo and just expand it. I just love it so much!
Anita, super CUTE room! Love it!!
Thanks Katie, it's my favorite yet! I think it's taken me the longest and I worked harder on this than all the rest.
Anita, your classroom looks awesome! :)
And happy belated birthday to Harper!
Thank! Can you say obsessed?
Your classroom looks AMAZING! You and Marc did such a good job!
Thank you! Marc is so much help! He hangs that heavy stuff from the ceiling for me...:worship:
So much fun and creativity! Love it! I hope you have a great time sharing it with your kids this year, I hope it started off well! I have a feeling we are all going to need those few days off in October!!! :thumbsup2
Honestly I think my boys feel that they are a little "old" for Nemo, but I'm not! I can tell you that with what's been going on here I am going to need that October break!!!
Anita -

Just like last year, I wish I was a student in your classroom! I think you officially have the coolest classroom - EVER!!!!!!!

Love it! Great Job! :thumbsup2
Thanks Mary Ellen! I'm in love with it this year too!
Love the classroom, Anita!!! It turned out just great!!! :goodvibes
Thanks Jackie, what's not to love about Nemo?
I hope you are doing better...
Anita, I love your classroom! Jeremy would have loved that!
Thanks! Yes, WOULD have, but he's much too old now, being a tween and all!
WDW Radio is hosting a contest on the most "Disney" classroom. You should enter!! http://www.wdwradio.com/2011/08/our-childrens-room-went-disney-winner-announced-and-new-contest/
I read this a few days ago, even went so far as to take some pictures for an entry. It's quite a compliment that you thought of me and sent this! Thank you!!!:goodvibes
Way to go Anita!! It's like being in the movie! You did an amazing job!
Thank you! I did try to re-create some of the scenes!

WOW and we are off to the races!!! August came and August went and a new school year started!! So a TR written by 3 teachers was bound to feel the effects of new classrooms, new seating charts, and a whole lot of grading (which I still manage to procrastinate on...will I never learn?!?!?) School year is going great!! I have awesome students and I love teaching all Biology...I mean seriously who doesn't want to do a toothpick enzyme lab...I mean really?!?!? Doesn't get better than that. Department chair takes a lot of my planning time, which is why the procrastination must stop and tutoring is a great way to earn extra money for Disney (yes those are the exact words I tell Prince P).

SO let's talk October trip for a minute....costumes are DONE!! Well at least me and Anita's are done...and no you get NO hints!!! We will just have to share our surprise with a picture on FB that night. But can I just tell you, we are going to look fantabulous!! I can't wait!!!! And that photo op, oh there will be a great photo op!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!

So the DIS meet list is huge...unbelievable the number of fantastic wonderful people who will be at Disney in October!! I can't wait, I am thinking we will need one major picture in front of MK on MNSSHP night!!! That would be sight to behold and hopefully we will have a PP person to help capture the moment!!!

Oh and did I mention my Food and Wine catalog or brochure came in...many hours have been spent circling which kiosks I want to try. Although I'm a bit sad and I think Christine would join me...NO Spare ribs in France...WHAT?!?!?!?! Very saddened to read that!!!! Don't they know those are the most amazing!! Oh well new things to try!!!!

In other news...the urge to add a day has hit and hit hard....whatever will I do?!?!?!?

Alright so enough about October (seriously next month )!!! Let's go back to this summer, we had just finished our delightful and once again fantastic meal at Blue Zoo. We headed back to BCV so we could pack up because tomorrow we were moving. Some of us were heading to cruise the big blue world and others were heading for an adventure in the deep south (where I was completely prepared to once again get on my knees and beg)!!

So morning came and I was up and at em' pretty early (I'm such a morning person). I decided with the time we had I was going to head over to POR and check in!! I figured it was early enough that if I did have to channel my inner Scarlett Ohara there would be minimal amount of people who could tape it and post it on YouTube. So I left Anita, Marc, and a sleeping Baylor to finish up the last load of laundry and packing and headed to Port Orleans. Oh I love this resort! I think it is the magnolias, but boy I just feel at home when I walk in!

I had done online check-in (or more like my TA had done online check in for me) and happily walked over to talk to the nice CM! I had my best smile on and I could just feel the mansion mojo, this CM was going to make sure I was in my favorite spot!! BINGO!! WOOT WOOT!! Sure enough no tears, no yelling, no horribly done southern accent (trust no one wants to hear me do that)...and I was in Magnolia Terrace!!

Isn't it beautiful!!! Oh how I love thee Mansion side of POR!!!!!

So I dropped off my luggage, jumped back into the Pacifica and happily made my way back to BCV to share my good luck and help with last minute packing!!!

It was an uneventful morning, luggage services help get the big purple lockers ( LOVE THESE THINGS, so getting me one) over to the Contemporary where we would be staying upon our return and then it was off to Port Canaveral!

The drive was quite nice, Pepe (my fun loving GPS) had no issues getting us there (of course Marc did a good job of driving). Baylor and I discussed how he would not be able to bring anything back with him based on the back of the Pacifica (LOL) and what he was most looking forward too. Anita was in contact with Michelle in hopes of meeting up with them as soon as they boarded. Oh and I do believe this was the drive where I was introduced to Angry Birds...what a great game. Baylor killed me in it, but I have been practicing and can't wait for round 2!!

Soon the drive was over and we saw...

What a gorgeous site!!!! The Dream is beautiful!!!!

Well we couldn't stay too long in the drop off spot, so we quickly unpacked the Pacifica and said our goodbyes! I was so sad to see them go!! I was going to miss them!! I definitely am looking forward to next summer when I get to board with them!!! Finally I climbed back into the Pacifica to head back for some Disney Solo time...whatever was I going to do?!?!?!?!? One last wave and they were off......for some great times at sea!!!

Coming soon....Cruisin' Time and One Girl's Disney Time!!!!!!

:cool1: I'm on the Dismeet list...right;) we need to finalize our plans...I know exactly what to bring you and Anita too :rolleyes1

glad the school yr is going well for all so far...U loved biology both in middle school and high school...some of my favorite memories in school....go along w/ some frogs ;)

SWEET on getting the room location you wanted jen and oh crusin :cloud9: can't wait to hear more!

J~

I am definitely lamenting the loss of the short rib in mashed potatoes from the F&W menu. But thankfully my #1 favorite, the beef skewer with chimichurri sauce and boniato puree from Argentina, has survived! Can't wait!!!:yay:

Hope to be able to meet up with you guys during the trip. MNSSHP sounds like a good opportunity! Very curious about your costumes.

Can't wait to hear more about the cruise. And hurrah for getting the room you wanted! :goodvibes

Yes - very curious about your costumes!

I keep feeling sorry for myself because I am not going to F&W this year, but I will be at Disney the same week as you and Anita next June so I look forward to seeing you again and meeting Anita! I am staying at the Treehouse Villas, which should be very cool. Then I am heading over to VWL for a few nights while you all leave to go cruising. I had to make a choice between more DVC points and the cruise. Oh Well - I'll get my chance.

So glad you got another mansion room at POR. Can't wait to come back later and see your pictures!!!!!

Yay for your mansion room! I still need to get over to POR and check it out.

I can't wait to see your costumes. You all are going to have so much fun.

what a productive morning! SO happy you got the mansions. The Dream looks gorgeous (and HUGE).

Bummer about the short ribs but how fun that the costumes are done and it's just around the corner!

Busy morning and I too am glad you got your mansion room.

I am also bummed about the short ribs. The first time I got them I thought HUH but they were so yummy.

After seeing your Dream pictures all I can say is it must have been really hard for you to turn around and drive away! :upsidedow

So glad you got a room in the mansions. We're staying there for the first time in Feb and I want a room in the mansions too. I may have to use your idea and beg and plead in best southern drawl.

Can't wait to find out what your costumes are.

Sounds like you are off to an awesome start to your school year. We are implementing a new teacher evaluation system and a new core standards program, so 'overwhelmed' and 'exhausted' are two words that are being heard often around our building.

October is well on its way to being here! No costumes for me, but I plan to meet you guys at Magic Kingdom sometime after the Jammin' Jungle Parade at AK and before the official party hour of seven o'clock at MK.

I love reading about your love for your resort. The resort is a big part of the whole Disney trip experience. So glad you got to be where you wanted.

My ship....sigh...I'll be back someday...

Those must have been some good short ribs! I'm hearing everybody talk about how much they will be missed. Maybe if enough complain, they'll bring them back next year when I get to go!
So lucky you got the POR Mansion! I like it there too!

What night is it that you're going to the MNSSHP? I'll have to remember to be on FB that night!

You are going to have a great time in October, and I, for one, will be expecting both a picture of the massive DIS meet AND a picture of the secret costumes posted on Facebook! :goodvibes

Yeay for scoring the mansion side of Riverside! Such gorgeous rooms! Although I must say that big ol' Disney cruise ship is mighty spiffy looking! :thumbsup2

So glad you got the room you wanted at POR, but I really wish you would have been able to cruise with us!

We saw Wig'd and the gang very soon after this. We just about a half hour or so behind you guys!

What night is it that you're going to the MNSSHP? I'll have to remember to be on FB that night!

Sunday October 16th :thumbsup2
