Nobody gets to come out and play much any more now that school has started back.

As I am covered up in diagnostic tests for Math, DIBELS, Running Records, and trying to set a good foundation and routine for my students, I keep reminding myself that seven weeks from Saturday, I will get to play big-time again!

Hey Everyone!! I promise later this week to post pics of my class and update but for right now I'm exhausted!!!

Did have a great first day of school! I'm not sure what the correct balance of being very serious vs. too cheery is and I always second guess myself! But I did set my expectations and we'll go from there!!! The fun part of the day was the amoeba races WOOT WOOT!!!

Well I have homework to do LOL so it's off to plan some more formative assessments and try to get to bed at a reasonable hour LOL!!!

OK, just thought I would share my classroom pics. We were supposed to get our walls painted this summer but we ran out of money. So I tried not to put much back on the walls. I love what MeMom did with her walls and if we get painted over Christmas break I might try to do that if I can figure out how to do the art....

So I went with Nemo plushies and others that I made. Anyway here's how it turned out!

So there you have it. Marc was so much help in getting things hung up. My job charts and check in charts also have a Nemo theme. I didn't get pictures of them. It was really fun to do and I have to say it gets me excited for school to start. I hope you enjoyed your peak into my world!

It all looks great!
I never got around to making my boat.
I am boatless.
Which is probably good, because there will be days I would be tempted to jump into the boat and speed away.
The kids are a much better group this year, so I am having a good time with them, but TN has created this involved new teacher evaluation system that is going to be a monumental headache.

Anyway, we'll escape the craziness and enjoy our time under the sea this year.
Got any clue what you'll do next year? I am thinking Mickey and Minnie on safari, maybe.
