don't know if i'm elated or gassy, but i'm somewhere in that zone...fall 2014 PTR

aren't they great? I'm so excited to wear them, but I'm going to have to hide them with the girls clothes or i'll be making DH wear them before we get there!

thanks! me either! I wore my shoes the other day and thought they were pretty comfy. I don't think I'd make it in the parks with them, but I am seriously considering bringing them for the day we spend the morning at the resort! I HAVE to take mickey shoes to Disney, don't I? :thumbsup2 (I can't remember if you've commented over here before or not. if not :welcome: and if so, sorry, :flower3: I clearly have a horrible memory!)

and your PTR title cracked me up! I'm heading over to check that out!

I'm leaning toward making a bracelet out of them. that seems like something fun that the girls would actually do something with. although, I don't know if you saw the links from denovagirl, there are some cool wall hangings and things that people have made with them in the shape of mickey heads and stuff that are awesome too!

hello, new person! since we've had kids, we're never on time either, so my feeling now is, whenever you get there is clearly the time you were supposed to be there! :welcome: I'm glad you're joining in!

how awesome that your DH proposed at Disney, too! did you all get married or honeymoon there? we didn't, but sometimes I really wish we had!

I'm hoping that free dining opens up and we can switch over to CBR from ASMo and that my math was right and that it will be cheaper. if not, I'm fine with being at ASMo in a preferred room. we missed a lot of the resort last time we were there and I'm kind of excited to see it again. but, I do hear those hammocks at CBR calling my name.....

so our short weekend trip is getting longer! we are now hopefully leaving Wednesday night and coming back sunday morning. I'd really like to leave even earlier but I don't want our oldest to miss too much school. if I'm not careful, i'll totally justify taking her out for more days and end up being there for a week again! it's so easy to come up with reasons to go to Disney for longer, isn't it? but, I agree, you only live once, might as well enjoy it!

Oh okay, I must have missed the part about the All-Star resort.... CBR is beautiful and all but it was a HUGE resort. I felt like we walked around more than what I wanted. I think 4 nights is perfect. That is normally what we do but this time we will just have to settle for 2 nights.. :( Well, technically 3. We are going to drive halfway that Thursday and hope to arrive at our resort by 10:30 a.m. on Friday :) So, we will have all day Friday, all day Saturday and half day Sunday.

We didn't marry at Disney or honeymoon but both of our children went to Disney in utero :) And then our oldest ( 6 in July) has been 3 x and our youngest has been twice ( 3 in October).. It is truly my happy place..

I started a TR but have not finished it- if you want to see some pics of CBR and the Halloween Party- please join in.

Are you kidding? Of course I want to see pics of CBR and the party! :yay: I'll be over for sure!

Yes, I was having a dilemma over places to stay vs not wanting to spend too awful much on this trip since we just went in January for a week. I was waiting for free dining before I booked but then saw a special for free memory maker on a 3 night trip (3 nights was our original plan) so I booked it at ASMo in a preferred room. I was worried free dining wouldn't be offered this year and then i would have missed out on free dining AND free memory maker. My plan right now is this--if FD is announced for our dates, we'll see if there are rooms at CBR and switch to a standard room and pay for memory maker. If no free dining, we'll keep what we have. One last option is to stay at ASMo, switch to free dining instead of free memory maker and then pay for memory maker and the difference in dining plans (at value resorts you get free dining/quick service but I want Disney dining-1 TS, 1 QS). Such decisions!

That was sort of our plan too. We were going to fly down thurs, go to a park, spend Friday at the resort and do MNSSHP that night, then do a park Saturday and come home Sunday. I was ok with it until flights changed and there wasn't a 6am flight offered any more on southwest that day. By the time we would have gotten there and checked in and to a park it would have been about 3 pm. So, I added an extra night and that's how we got to 4 nights. I'd love to leave Tuesday sometime and have another day to do another park or go to a not Friday night Halloween party, but I just can't justify Hannah missing so much school.

I totally get Disney being your happy place! Isn't it magical?

Free dining is the best way to go for sure!! We have had it our past three trips so it is really going to blow in June to pay for food :(.. I totally get trying to do a more economical trip this time as we just went in October and I didnt think there was any way to talk DH into this trip so soon but since we are only doing two nights with a discount at a value, ( hoping to switch to MOD now since MIL might come but can't see spending the $100.00 just for the room, no standard available, yikes) it shouldnt be too bad.I dont even think we are going to do any TS meals...

We have tentative plans for another big trip with our best friends next February or March- we dont have any set dates, just want to beat Spring Break and wait for a discount. I also understand about missing school. I know we won't have too many more years to be able to do it.. I know here, they say it starts being harder in the 3rd grade to miss.

I do love free dining! and I know what you mean about spending more money on a room when you're hardly in there. the moderates are so nice though!

the missing school thing is hard! our oldest is in a private school (affiliated with our church) so it's a little easier, I think, to miss school since they'll work with you and send classwork, etc, but it still counts as an absence and you can only have so many.....I've been trying to look at the calendar and go when she has days off already, so maybe we can keep going when the kids are out of school anyway. however we can get to Disney works for me! :thumbsup2

Love the gifts, your shoes are SO adorable!

thanks! I love those shoes! I'd wear them everyday except I don't want to ruin them. Also, if I wore mine the girls would want to wear theirs and I have hidden theirs until the trip. I'm such a mean mom! :rotfl:

Has anybody ever seen aurora in her blue dress? Is that still a thing that happens? Our youngest would LOVE that. She loves the end of the movie when flora and merriweather are changing the color of her dress back and forth. I didn't even know she ever wore a blue dress at the parks.

And, just have to say, I am SO EXCITED!! We're doing out first real movie night this weekend! popcorn:: Stay tuned for pictures!

That is crazy, I have never seen the blue dress before! It makes sense though she wears them both equally. I am so excited to see what you come up with for your first movie night!

I've been doing some checking around about aurora's blue dress. I think it's so pretty, I just wondered if we could find her in it. apparently, that's the dress she wears at Disney in paris. guess we won't be seeing her in it any time soon.....

denovagirl trusted me to make shirts for her and her DH to match the HDDMR dresses I did for their girls. I got them finished this week! I think they look pretty cute all together! hope she likes them...

I finally did a real movie night! i'm so excited that i'm posting this while we're still watching the movie! well, actually, most of us are watching.....Madison fell asleep on the couch. of course I took a bunch of pictures!

first, some friends joined us for the movie. even maleficent likes mary poppins!

the movie!

the living room all ready...

food!

cherry tree lane fruit salad, cheese umbrellas, and popcorn to feed the birds

spoonful of sugar for dessert. I wanted to use doughnut holes, but couldn't find any at the store. oh well, it's sugar either way, right?

tea cups for our apple juice "tea"

fish and chips!

maddie doesn't like fish, so corn dog and chips for her

just a picture I took for fun while we were waiting for daddy to come in

the girls said everything was gorgeous, and they were so excited that i'd decorated a little. they drank tons of tea because they were so amazed at the real tea cups (I see lots of bathroom breaks this evening). maddie kept calling it our party and Hannah said it was lovely. I was so happy they liked it and I can't wait to do another one now! (even rich said it was impressive and a great idea! woohoo! :woohoo: )

and I resized all these pictures on photobucket so hopefully they're not so huge when anyone sees this....

Now that is precious!!! I need to do a movie night one evening! My boys would love it!!!

Love the outfits too!! How much do you charge? Or just does it depend on what you do? I get my boys tee-shirts for our trips and looking for some for our weekend trip in June and then we are going back next February with our friends who have two girls.. She loves the boutique clothes and I know she will want some made!

I've seen other people doing movie nights and thought they looked so cute and fun. I've wanted to do one forever and finally got around to planning some. I'm excited to do another one now!

Thanks--i love making stuff for people. I'm pretty sure i have some sort of fabric addiction! :rotfl: I'll send you a private message about the sewing.

Looks like a great movie night! Love the food and the umbrella open in the house is so cute! Movie nights are the best!
