Don't forget, Exteme Couponing premieres tonight!

I watched part of it - the part with the blond lady who has a stockpile of stuff. I can understand trying to save money, but I think that one has a problem. One thing I didn't believe and that was where she bought the vitamins and they store would give her back $1.00 on each one because of the coupons - around here if your coupons take you beyond the cost of the item, you just get the item free they don't give you money besides.
She was so anxious at the register that I thought she was going to have a nervous breakdown. Do you think she gets some kind of thrill out of it - seeing if it all works out at the register? And she had that binder....my coupons are thrown in a box and I have to wade through them to see what I've got.
Did she say where she gets all those coupons from? :surfweb:

It comes on later as well. I think around 11. Around here we call these people shelf clearers. They are the ones that ruin doubles and triples for the rest of us.

yep:thumbsup2 gives us that use common sense while couponing a bad name.

All I can say is this is a new form of OCD. :sad2: I could not sleep last night so I watched several of the episodes and this is organized hoarding.

What I don't understand is that these people spent "hours" in the check out line wouldn't the perishible foods go bad. I would never think to leave a gallon of milk out on the counter for 3 hours much less in a grocery cart. Or the lady that has 70 bottles of laundry soap. Over time wouldn't the soap begin to break down and not be as strong??

I can see stock piling toilet paper and paper towels but 47 bottles of mustard! If you had a family like the Duggar's ok.

Or the lady who had to call 5 of her friends to come to the check out line so she could take advantage of the spend $50 get $10 back which was limited to one per customer. She is in the check out line while she tries to find 5 of her friends to come to the store so she can take advantage of this deal. Get real! In the end she spent 6 hours in the grocery store! That was just in the store then you still have to get this stuff home and put away. Her husband was not too thrilled about having to put this stuff away either. He was covered in sweat from halling all that stuff in the house. And he grumbled about it as he was putting stuff away.

If I bought $600 worth of stuff for $6.00 I wouldl definantely donate most of it to family or food banks. Why be selfish about it.

Just watching what I believe is a repeat of Extreme Couponing. The lady who does her makeup and wears high heeled boots to grocery shop in. She cleared the shelf of mustard - like over 60 bottles and her husband doesn't even like mustard. What on earth is she going to do with all that mustard? And I can't remember how many packages of lunchmeat they said - but it was measured in pounds. What will she do with that? It only lasts so long - can't put that on a shelf. I wonder if she donates the perishables? And I still don't get where they all get their coupons from. My grocery store has a sign out front that says they will not accept computer generated coupons. :surfweb:
