So here we are again! Just put your paws up, and get ready for another trip to the World!

DH (43), DS (15), and I (40) are headed back to WDW on June 3. It's our annual trip. We have been going to WDW at least once a year since 2005.

This year we'll be at AKV (Jambo) for 15 nights. AKV is our home resort and we LOVE it! I booked our villa at the 11 month mark, so it has been a long wait.

I lived in Florida during middle and high school, so I had already been to MK several time before I met DH. He couldn't imagine how WDW was different from Six Flags, but by the end of the first day of our first trip he understood.

DH is a vendor rep for a major snack food manufacturer. I am a professional nanny (and a Lady Gaga fan).

DS is wrapping up his freshman year of high school, but we aren't really "celebrating" anything this year.

Last year was our first June visit, and we are THRILLED to be returning for Gay Days to see LOTS of friends! :goodvibes Looking forward to seeing everyone again, and meeting lots of new people! :yay: I estimate our group will number between 30-40 this year.

Last year was also our first experience with Star Wars weekends. Apparently Disney wanted to re-create that special time for us, so they are bringing back the EXACT SAME celebrities that we met last year. Yay. OK, well, fewer lines to stand in the day we go to do Star Wars stuff.

Special Events for this trip include: Wishes Cruise, Dinner with an Imagineer, BASS fishing charter, and Sunrise Safari. I would like to do Characters in Flight again, this time at night. DH says he doesn't want to go, so I guess DS and I will wave to him. :rolleyes1

Dining includes (but is not limited to): Flying Fish, Yachtsman, Jiko, Citrico's, Wolfgang Puck's Cafe, Sanaa, Kimono's, Bluezoo, and possibly House of Blues.

I have been carrying water park tickets around for the past 4 years. We might make it to a water park this year.

We met a wonderful family from the UK in 2005. We were thrilled to learn they were planning a return trip in June, and we were looking forward to seeing them again. Sadly, our friend's dad passed away about 10 days ago. :guilty: We are hopeful that he will still make the journey with his mom, but we will understand if they choose to cancel.

This will likely be our only trip this year, so we need to make it count! Hoping for a wonderful time with wonderful friends! :cloud9:

It's actually getting pretty close already! I can't wait to read all about it. When your ds is an entertainment CM, I'll be sure to work a trip in!

Well, with 2 in college for the next two years, and then two more years of college for the middle one, I will need to save for a while anyway. It would be so neat to see him perform!

Hiiii!!! SO excited for you guys!! 15 freaking nights!!! AMAZING!!! AND our trips overlap-again! Maybe this year we will get to meet! I can't wait to see your plans. Looking forward to reading more! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I was bummed that we missed you guys last year! We will definitely have to plan something for this year!

You're arriving June 4? We're at MK w/the Gay Days crowd all day Saturday. Sunday we're at Epcot sort of drinking around the world, Monday I think we're at AK. I'll have to pull the schedule and tell you the rest of our park days. :)

What super fun anniversary stuff do you have planned?

Hi Elizabeth! I'm along for the ride!

In previous years I have done daily live reports, so it is my intention to continue in that tradition. You've been warned. ;)

I'm here!! It's been a long long 10 months since we booked and even longer that we've been discussing a June trip!

I managed to get all 15 nights CL, which was a good idea 11 months ago. I am just now starting to think we might strangle each other. DH and DS will bicker over the most ridiculous, petty nothingness. Then I have to wade into the fray to break it up. We had a studio 2 years ago, but last year we had a one bedroom. Of course both of them griped that we didn't have a CL villa last year, even though we had more room. :headache: I told them last night that they better behave. I may be sleeping in the lounge to escape from them.

Tammi, I hope your waitlist comes through! This will be our first trip in FOREVER that we aren't switching villas at some point. Our last 3 big trips have been split stays. We lose so much time when we switch rooms it will be nice to NOT have to move.

Missy, we are going to have such a terrific time! Can't wait to meet you guys!

When they start in on each other, lock one of them out on the balcony.

I won't mind switching since we are staying in the same resort. And since we are using more points staying CL I didn't want to book weekend nights, so it's Sun-Fri. I debated about going down and spending Fri and Sat at Pop paying OOP, but decided against it. Changing resorts 2x is too much. Now if my waitlist comes through I just might have to rethink that. ;)

Last year we had an AP rate pool view room for the first 2 nights, then we moved to the villa for 13 nights. I probably could have planned it better because our villa sat empty for the one night we went to Universal, but too late now. At the time that was easier than figuring out how to drag ALL of our stuff to Hard Rock for one night, then drag it all back.

DS had mentioned trying to go to Sea World this year, but I think we'll manage to stay busy on WDW property. Especially since the APs we buy this time will only cover this ONE trip. We need to get as much use out of them as possible.

We will miss you! I'm sure your Star Wars trip will be fabulous. Perhaps not as fabulous as eating Dole Whips or drinking around the world with 30 or so friends, but fabulous in its own way. ;)
