Donald's Safari Character Breakfast

Yes, it's towards the back of the park near the Safari entrance. We had reservations for 8:10 a.m. We didn't have to wait too long. They call you up, take a picture of your group and then take you inside to seat you. Got our drink orders and then headed towards the buffet. About mid way through our meal the characters started to come by and a CM also comes by at some point to show you your pictures to see if you want to buy the package, which we did. We saw Mickey, Donald, Goofy, & Daisy in their AK attire. The food was good and so were the characters.

Right after our meal we went right out side the restaurant were they had it roped off to Africa. As soon as the rope dropped we walked (fast) onto the safari ride.

It all worked out very well for us. I would recommend making your reservation between 8:00 & 8:30 to be finished in time for the rope drop.

We did this one and Chef Mickey's last time for breakfast. This one won hands down! Much better food, nicer atmosphere, better character interaction. We're going again. :thumbsup2

Our experience exactly!! There is a great selection, it's easy to get to the food carts, and the character interaction is awesome. I found it less crowded than Chef Mickey's. The only thing we didn't like is the picture they take of you before the meal isn't with the characters or anything like that. It was just kind of odd I guess... We're used to the princess breakfasts...

And the jungle juice is great! I think I drank too much and had a belley ache, but it was awesome. A great choice!

We are looking forward to eating there in 1 month.
I read a lot of good reviews about this breakfast.
I'm looking forward to the Jungle Juice.
Does anyone know what in the JJuice?
Is it similar to POG--Pineapple, Orange and Guava
juice mix which is served at "O'hana's" breakfast?

Just went for breakfast last week and were more than a little disappointed. We were there for the 8am seating and by 8:10am the entire room was full so the characters came by. By the time the last character "stopped" at our table it had become a joke. They spent no more than 15 seconds at the table and were seriously rushing to get out of the room. We watched them at the other tables and you could see they were annoyed when kids weren't ready with their autograph books or were too slow getting up for the picture. As soon as they hit all the tables they did the little parade thing and were gone. Seems like they were rushing to get down with their visits to the table so they could do the parade/dance thing so they could move on to the next room.

Food was OK -- not bad.
Character interaction -- terrible
Service -- OK, again, very, very rushed. Very obvious they wanted to turn over the tables.

Can't see us going back again.

I've got photos and then some video of some of the dancing!

They also do the photo thing at Chef Mickey's before you eat...you can opt out of it. We never bought any of those photos.

DH loved this place because they will make you custom made to order omelets at the bar! I was most excited because it was the only time I ever found regular slices of white bread, lol.

FWIW, I don't know of any character meal (aside from our visit at 1900 Park Faire for dinner) where we got more than a half minute or so with each character. I mean really, what all can they do? They sign the books, take a photo, give a hug...a few might try to "communicate" with us about something (like Minnie who liked dd's dress at Chef Mickey's) but if I timed it, none of it lasts very long. At Park Faire the characters came back over and over and had longer conversations and acted silly for a while, but part of that might have been because it was the tail end of the night and the restaurant was maybe 15-20% full and it also helps that face characters can talk.
