9:30 AM appointment at hairdresser for a perm this morning! I "don't do mornings" and "I don't do Monday's" so it was a double wammy to get up and going! Perfect appointment though...perm is done AND her parents had a vacation home in the Great Smokey Mountains so she's been there MANY times! Got lots of advice...and, Diane, the MAIN advice from her was about the BEARS! Not exactly sure I still want to do this!

You’ll be fine. I wouldn’t worry too much about the bears unless you plan on walking in the woods by yourself. I’m guessing you’re not going to do that. We have lots of black bears. There is one that was roaming around our town and the surrounding towns for a few years now. He is called tripod because he has a missing or hurt paw and limps. Nick had him in his front yard. Not sure what kind of bears are in the Great Smoky Mtns.

Oh hell no! Not even a walk in the woods with Allie, Sara & David! I already told Allie "NO" hikes unless she and Sara want to do one on our "off" day. But I think I took care of today too by a suggestion on how to fill that
day. The hairdresser sent me a site she was extremely interested in...it's a mountain roller coaster that you "drive" yourself! Hand gears totally control speed for a "custom" ride. She said the scenery is absolutely beautiful. She was excited to check it out! That poor bear! having to limp around like that! Guess he's getting along okay though if he's been around a few years!
