Donald's Defiant Dashers Team Challenge

Hey Triple D's since I have no plans of anything to stressful tonight I figured I would report my numbers.

16 miles (all running)
137 minutes

Keep up the good work everyone :thumbsup2

Wow! Another week gone by already!

Here are my totals for the week.
490 minutes - walking and cross-training
19 miles - walking

I've still been doing most of my walking outside (with plenty of water) but yesterday I couldn't bring myself to go out in the heat and humidity so it was in to the treadmill.

:cheer2: Go Triple D's :cheer2:

Hi everyone! Sorry to say I had low mileage last week, only rode three days, for a total of 70 miles and 4 hours, 20 minutes.

70 miles is low mileage :rotfl2:
you crack me up Augie!

Keep up the good work everyone and stay hydrated!:thumbsup2

Hey Team! I am here again to report. Although my miles and times are good, I was actually shooting for more but I am taking the advice of a couple of friends and taking a couple of days of rest to see if it will help heal my neck. (Been having some issues with it lately.)

So with that being said, here are my numbers for this week:

Miles: 113
Time: 16 hours

It's not bad but I was going for 150 miles. Hopefully, I will be able to get back to those kinds of miles again soon.

Have a great weekend everyone!
Bryan:cheer2:

It's better to rest and have less miles,
then to get hurt and have no miles

Have a great weekend team!:cheer2:

Hi Everyone.

I'm checking in with my weekly totals.

20.5 miles/172 minutes

I hope everyone is staying cool!

I noticed I somehow missed the previous week so here are my numbers to fill in everything.

30 miles in 300 minutes

then last week

15 miles in 200 minutes.

Bill

Numbers for the week:

Run - 23.75 miles in 203 minutes
Bike 33 miles in 140 minutes
Weights 120 minutes

I will not be posting for two weeks after today because I am off to Alaska and do not want any access to a computer - I have to look at one all day long at work and need a long break. Heck, mabye my old eyes will improve with 2 weeks away from the blasted thing.

Great training all,

Mike "GG" B

Hi, hope everyone had a great weekend! I did a little better this week mileage-wise, got to ride everyday to work, so that was 125 miles, and 7.5 hours. Then after work on Friday I rode 5 miles to the local college for a bike race. As it was my first time I had to do the C ride, which was 20 miles. (I came in third) Then I rode home 5 miles. I think if I do this again, i wil drive, I missed having the 'support' equipment handy, like a pump and more water. So that would bring the total to 175 miles, counting the double miles for the race. And a time total of 9 hours.

I have to start running again, I am signed up for a 5K next week.

Have yourselves a good week!

Triple D's Everyone is doing a terrific job. The output of mileage and hours is remarkable. Augie with 175 miles. That is phenominal. (I know. I have done it.) I mean everyone is putting in th efforts that are needed and I think there is a greater purpose here than just trying to win a competition but we are in it for the healthy aspects also. Now, the best news of it all is that we are actually winning this competition. For the most amazing news, we have already broken 10,000 miles as a team since February.:woohoo: :cheer2: Go Team!!! It is amazing what all of you are doing week in and week out. The amount of dedication, excitement and all out team effort is unprecidented. I am so proud of all of you and more proud to be a part of this team. Let's go out there and so the others what we are made of! Let's go team!!!

I feel like I neglected in my duties when I made my post yesterday. There was something else that I should have mentioned. Let's all take a moment and wish our Fearless Captain, Big Vic a belated Happy Birthday.:bday: :bday: party: (His birthday was this past Sunday.)

Thanks!

Hi everyone! I'm back from beautiful Maine to the land of heat and humidity. Yuck!

Anyway, I managed to bang myself up on a hike last week (slipped on some loose gravel as we were going down the mountain), so I had to take a bit of a break from running for a few days. Luckily I can count my hiking miles in my total, so here it is:

Miles: 5.1 (running & hiking)
Time: 175 (running & hiking)

On the positive side, the view from the top was amazing! I'll put a few pictures on my blog in the next few days.

It's great to see how dedicated this group is! It's a real motivator for me.

And, Happy belated Birthday to Big Vic!

Happy Belated Birthday Vic!

Congrats again to everyone on their continued hard work!

Nice job on coming in 3rd Augie! Great miles too!

My past week:

Swim: 1.3/1:05
Bike: 122.8/8:10
Run: 8.2/2:00

Total: 132.3 miles/11:15 hours

I am cramming in some bike time (part on trainer, part on the road), since when I travel for work I usually don't have a bike to train on. And Ironman is in just over 6 weeks. My motivator is fear, right now. :scared1: I have 8 more bike hours in the next 2 days, including a 6 hour ride on Saturday. And the high temp is heading for 101, so I will be starting very early in the morning! :thumbsup2

Big Vic...did you get this? for week of July 1-7? I was told it wasn't updated? Or was it put on a different week?

Hey Team! I had a good week this week. 14.3 miles in 2.5 hours and 1.5 hours of cross-training. Have a great week, everybody!!!!:cool1:

Betsy:

According to the spreadsheet, this was put on for the 2nd week of July. Right now, you have nothing put down for the first week or last week. Not a big deal. We all know that life is tough right now, we just want you to get credit for your efforts.

BamaEd To a fellow Alabamian, great job! Keep it up.

As a reminder, tomorrow is posting day for this week. If you can, try to get in your miles and hours so Vic can update the spreadsheet over the weekend.

Thanks Everyone! You are all doing a fantastic job in making our team very successful!

Bryan

Wahoo! Heading to Branson, Mo. to meet family for the weekend so I'm posting this past weeks totals now.

13. 5 miles
380 minutes

:cheer2: Go Team :cheer2:

Please excuse the interruption!

It will be lots of fun, and what a great way to support others WISHers (and all the athletes) if you are not participating! :thumbsup2

Nevermind, you receive a one-day park ticket, jacket and a snack for your troubles!

I know that we had a blast doing this last year and we hope to have much more particpation this year. :woohoo:

Come on guys, you know you wanna.... :cheer2:

Back to normal team posting activities...

BIG VIC...The training totals you have me down for in 2nd week of July belong in first week of July. (132.3 miles/11:15)

For July 8-14 week, sorry I didn't post in time, as I was travelling and ran out of time:

I did: 3.1 miles swimming/ 2:50
134.5 miles biking/9:00
19.5 miles running/4:30

For totals of 157.1 miles/16:20 hours.

and...for 3rd week of July, I have:
Swim: 3.4 miles/2:30
Bike: 100.2 miles/6:40
Run: 6.0 miles/1:10

for a total of 109.6 miles/10:20 hours
(didn't do my long run...but watched an Ironman race for 17 hours) ;)

That should get me caught up.
Last big big weekend coming up!
