I asked once before, is there a preferred reporting period, or is the Sun to Sat OK?

Thursday is the normal reporting day. However, if we can get a consensous as to a better day, we can do it. The important thing is getting the correct numbers posted to the spreadsheet.

As a reminder to everyone - Please, when reporting your training, give me your total mileage and time. For example: Total mileage = 150, Time = 6:30 (you can report it as 390 minutes, also).

Take care, and keep up the great work!!

:)

Hello Triple D's,

This are starting to pick up and mileage is increasing for me.

24 miles
148 minutes

Hope everyone as a great upcoming week! :thumbsup2

Yeah!!! The Olympics are here. Now, maybe I can get excited about my training. (Just kidding!) I am excited about the Games finally being here as I can say that we all have something in common with them. We all have a "competitve spirit". If we didn't, we wouldn't be as enthusiastic about all of the training that we have been doing for the last several months.

Ok. Now for the miles for this week.

Miles - 175.6
Time - 21:45 hours

I was fortunate enough to have a pretty good week. Anything that I can do to help both my teammates and my Twin.

Have a good week everyone!
Bryan

Hey Captain! :goodvibes

My totals for this past week:
14.4 miles and 340 minutes

Hi, Team!!!

Here are my totals for the week of Aug. 1-7:

Swim: 4.8 miles/3:15
Bike: 33.0 miles/2:10
Run: 35.6 miles/7:15

Total: 73.4 miles/12:40 hours

Not so much biking due to travel, and I can't take my bike everywhere with me! Probably the first time I can think of that I have more run miles than bike miles...no wonder my legs are tired! That's a big run week for me! Big swims, too!

One more long bike, and then it's TAPER TIME! yay!!

Hoping I'll have a safe bike ride tomorrow...for the first time in about 9 years of running, I've been significantly harassed on the road...had a guy earlier this week swipe at my head out the window of a passing car one day, then last night I had someone throw some ice/drink out a car window at me! I'm on the road this week for work, so it's a bit disconcerting. :sad2:

But on the good side...I did a 3 hour run this week, then another run with 10 X 1 mile repeats. And a 4000m swim one day. It takes some mental toughness to get through these workouts in a strange town, by oneself, but I did them! :thumbsup2

Big Vic...because of the way the spreadsheet is set up, with Days 1-7, 8-14, 15-21, and 22-end of each month...it would make sense to me if we posted on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 31st or 1st of each month, or thereabouts.

More travel this week....and taper, so my numbers will fall off a little for now. Then I get to post the BIG number (I hope) the week after Aug. 24.

Sorry to post late. I had a 10.2 mile week in 1hr and 15 minutes. I did 1hr x-training. It was very hot and humid here so I backed off a little.

Hello all, back form a great trip (cruise to Alaska and extra days in Seattle and Vancouver) and here are my totals from the past 3 weeks.

Week of July 21 through July 27:
Run 15.25 in 2hours and 10 minutes
Bike 15 miles in 65 minutes
Weight lifting for 60 minutes
Hike up a mountain (Grouse in Vancouver) total of 2 hours but have no idea how many miles

Week of July 28 through August 3:
Run 8.4 miles in 80 minutes
Hike to the top of Mt Roberts in Alaska (marker said it was 3.5 miles each way) 7 miles in 2 hours
Weights 40 minutes

Will give totals for this week after tomorrow’s bike ride.

Hey Vic, any chance I can be added to the team list on the first post?

Great day and great training all.

Mike “GG” B

That is one thing I always think about while out riding, I once in a while get some kids yell out the window at me but that is about it. Ony had something thrown at me once, a McDonalds cup. But they missed.

So, hours for last week, only biking, 135 miles, in 8 hours, 15 minutes. This week may be a little low, going away to camp on Thursday. Though I am riding there. Well, part way this year. Also have no computer at home, I think a lightning strike did something, though nothing else in the house was damaged, even things on the same strip. Maybe it is time for a new one, which unfortunatly is not in the budget right now. Tough choices there, new computer or new parts for the bike.

Have a good week, everyone!

I'm posting very late for last week - sorry.

I ended up only doing 2 runs, so here are my totals (all running):
Time: 147 minutes
Miles: 11.8

Have a great week, team!

I know I have been terrible about posting my totals. I am going to not do that again.

Here are last weeks:

Weight Lifting: 105 minutes
Running: 18.23 miles in 96:20 (includes ouble race miles)
Biking: 12.8 miles in 54:25
Other: 120 minutes

Ahhh, I'm not sure why some drivers seem to have such 'road rage' over bicyclists BUT ...they do. I think many people do not realize that bicyclists have basically the same road rules as cars. We are allowed to take up one lane (if it doesn't impede traffic). That means if cars can pass bicyclists in the oncoming lane, then they should, just as if they were passing a car.
My Dh and I have had semi's actually try to run us off the road (we were riding single file), the good part of this was that a highway patrol saw it and pulled the semi over. Yay!!! I don't bike much anymore but for all you cyclist, be careful and stay safe.

Just wanted to add my total from this past week.

16.6 miles (included the double miles for a horrible 5k race that I did last Saturday evening) and 3 hours 19 mins.

Everyone is doing GREAT

Didn't see this recorded in the spreadsheet for 7/22-7/31 Please put me down for 16.6 miles and 3 hours 19 mins(or 199 mins)

And for 8/1-8/7 my totals are 13 miles and 2 hours 50 mins or 170 mins

I am looking good for this week as well since I already have 14 miles in - hopefully I can get in some more milage before the end of Thursday.

I have had the same things happen to me. In contrast to this I did a cycling trip through Tuscany in May and the cars go out of their way to give bikes enough road. There were parts of the area that were a little twisty and cars couldn’t easily pass. Not only were they not riding your tail but they sat back and would go a mile or so until they could pass and then waved hello as they did so.

It was a very refreshing change.

It would be lovely if drivers here in the states were like that. It sounds like you had a wonderful trip. :goodvibes

Cycling in Europe is a totally different experience. Maybe because there are so many of us! But the cars respect you, there is an abundance of bike trails.

Mike GoofyGuy...how was the cruise? Did you stop in Ketchikan? I'm working there this week. Just watched one of the ships leave. Would love to do an AK cruise.

Ahoff...agree with you that drivers are better around bikes in Italy. Loved riding there! But my motorist harassment last week was while I was running! 2 separate occasions! I felt more vulnerable on foot than on a bike.:sad2:

Big Vic, oh fearless leader...Here are my miles/hours for Aug. 8-14.

Swim: 2.7 miles/1:55
Bike: 72.6 miles/4:30
Run: 14.0 miles/3:00

total: 89.3 miles/9:25 hours

Taper time!
Will end up posting the next week in 2 weeks, because I won't have computer access, but will also have the BIG MILE post coming up! :yay:

Big Vic, I am sorry for being late. I have had a week of sabotage from work. I had 2 days were I had to work double shifts and then the rest of the week I was there late. Really made it hard to get my training in the way I normally would but here are my totals.

Miles: 60
Time: 8 hours

Next week will be better, I promise all of you that it will be.

Thanks Team!!
Bryan:woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

ironz - the cruise was a great time and the scenery was even better. Than ks for asking. We did not stop in Ketchikan - instead we went to Icy Strait Point (did whale watching tour and saw over 50 whales with a pod of 15 or so circling the boat -- AWESOME!)

Vic - thanks for adding me to the team list. Here are my numbers for last week (sorry for being late):
21-5 miles run in 2 hours 55 minutes
5 mile hike (around Stanley park in Vancouver, BC on last day of vacation) in 90 minutes
15 miles on the bike in 1 hour
1 hour of weight lifting

For this week:
21.5 miles running again in 3 hours flat
36 miles on the bike in 2 hours fourty minutes

Train on team,

Mike "GG" B

Captain, here are my totals for the week ending. Thurs., Aug. 14.

600 minutes 26.1 miles

Great weather here this past week, a real relief from the 100 degree weather we had been having.:goodvibes
