Donald's Defiant Dashers Team Challenge

Bill, here is some pixiedust: pixiedust: for a speedy recovery. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the good thoughts. I feel like I may actually live for another day, which was questionable last night. Although after working all day, that could change.

My miles/hours for last week were 18/160, if I wrote things down right.

Bill

Bill, hope you make it through the day.

Numbers for last week, I really need to get to earlier.

0 miles
134 minutes of skiing

I did manage a trail run of 5 miles at lunch today so things maybe turning around. I have yet to get on my road or mountain bike though. I am iun such a rut. Hopefully I can snap out of it.

Good news team! This week is starting off real good for me. I already have 52 miles and still a lot of time left. The more and more I do, the better I feel. I know that is how it is supposed to work and you know what...... It does!

More good news: Since the beginning of this competition, I have lost 25 pounds off ugliness off of my body. I am only 11 pounds away from my goal. I can honestly say that I would never of had the motivation to do what I have done if it wasn't for my teammates here, my friends on my other thread here on WISH and this competition.

One last thing for now: I have just found out that the local high school is going to have a Cancer walk in 2 weeks. As soon as I can find out all the info, I will be entering. I will let you know more as I find out. Since this is a Charity Walk, do I get to count the double miles for that?

Thanks everyone! You guys ROCK!!!!:woohoo: :cheer2:

Bryan, congrats on the fitness and weight loss.

Big Vic, I am reporting my miles a little early since I am heading away for the weekend.

Swim: 2.0 miles/1:35
Bike: 16.1 miles/1:00
Run: 6.4 miles/1:25
strength/core: :30

totals: 24.5/4:30 (sucky)

LTO in a major way this week...work, travel, tax bill, and almost every personal relationship I thought I was in. :sad1:
I need about 2 weeks of time with no work and no tax bills and no harassment to settle down. sorry...had to vent a little.

FLBill - I hope you are continuing to recover well.

Bryan - Congrats on the weight loss and staying motivated. By all means, charity walks count double as well.

Betsy - I hope things turn around for you. Take it easy.

Vic - Hey Buddy! What's up? 88 in Victory Lane any time soon, you think?

My totals for the week:

Fri 8.13 miles/66 min
Mon 7.4 miles/59 min
Wed 6.08 miles/47 min
Thur 6.42 miles/55 min

Totals: 28.03 miles/227 minutes.

Everyone have a good weekend.

Betsy - Take care of yourself.

Mike - I thought the Dale was going to do well last week. I'll be heading to Talladega at the end of the month. Hopefully we'll see him in Victory Circle that day, or before.

So, I keep waiting until I have the time to give a meaningful post with individualized replies to report my times, but there never seems to be enough time to do that, so I apologize that I have not reported in for a long time. I have been working out still (in between everything else going on, such as sick kids and extra workload at work and home :laundy: )

Here are my totals for the past 4 weeks

Week of 3/14-3/20 5:18 30.53 miles
Week of 3/21-3/27 4:34 21.83 miles
Week of 3/28-4/3 5:19 28.35 miles
Week of 4/4-4/10 3:27 22.3 miles (can you tell this week was busier...less time running)

Congrats to everyone for getting miles in, even when it is tough to do so.

Paul

Howdy Team:

Sorry for not being around much but things have been crazy with work, illnesses, and other family stuff. Due to my own issues, my work outs have not been great the past two weeks. These are my totals for the past 2 weeks though:

Core and weights: 135 minutes
Walking: 155 minutes - 7.52 miles

Vic-let me know if you need me to break that into weeks.

Have a great weekend all.

You want me to divide it in half?

My totals for the week are better than last but not where I was hoping for. I had set a personal goal but I have been experiencing some type of "kneck detoriation" that makes it impossible for me to turn, twist or do a lot of lifting. Honestly, it hurts to lift my head after I have been laying down sleeping. I have a doctor's appointment coming up where they are going to fix the issue, I hope but I have another 10 days to wait before he can see me. I will keep on exercising but I may have to limit some until we get this taken care of.

Otherwise, my totals for the week:

Weight training and core - 3 hours
Cardio time - 6 hours
Distance - 106 miles

Everyone seems to be doing great. I know for me this has been a phenominal 2 months already. Inspiration, motivation and encouragement that I have been able to receive here has done so much for me personally. It has gotten me past a lot of issues that normally I would have let stop me from doing my exercises. I can't thank the Triple D's enough for that.

Keep it up everyone!!:woohoo:

Bubba, I know what you mean about the support. I wouldn't be doing as well as I am without it either.

Here's mine for the week:22 miles, 3 hrs 45 min cardio. 2 hours xtraining. It was a good week. I've got one more long run in the morning and then I will taper for the 1/2 on the 26th. I'm really getting excited about it.

Keep moving DDD's:cool1:

I know you guys are hunting the Bunnies furry hides so you guys should know that they had a team bike-a-thon this weekend to gather miles. Not that I don't think you guys can't think up things on your own, just giving you an intell report on the competition's game plan.

Hey all!

It's great to be back feeling good again:thumbsup2
This time next week I'll be in WDW!
I've already got my runs mapped out on mapmyrun.com

hours: 10.5 (core, bike, run)
miles: 49 :scared1: just shy of fifty- next week will be great!

Have a great weekend everyone:goodvibes

Hey team! :goodvibes

Bubba - Awesome job on the weight loss! I hope your neck is better soon!

Ed - Great job this week! Enjoy your tapering and good luck on the half!

Twotoohappy - Enjoy WDW!!!! We went over yesterday for Timmy's birthday breakfast at MGM. The crowds were great, and the weather was beautiful! Have fun!!! :thumbsup2

NEBill - Good job getting the workouts in! I hope things settle down for you this week!

Paul - Great to see you! I hope things settle down for you, as well, this week!

Mike - Great job on the exercise!

Betsy - I'm so sorry you had a rough week! Feel free to vent away!

Here are my numbers this week... I need for my family to get well and stay well so I can work out in the evenings without feeling guilty! ;)

Miles - 10.25 (1 bike, 1 walk, 1 swim)
Minutes - 153 minutes

I did have a "happy" to share - I was able to swim 2800 yards this morning before they closed the lap swim time, 1500 yds were without stopping. Yea! I'm going to be paying for it in my arms and shoulders tomorrow, though! ;)

Have a great weekend!

Hi Tripple Ds, please welcome your new team mate, Frank, Firedancer. He is from the Ohio area.

Glad to have you aboard Frank.:cheer2: :cheer2: I hope you find this team as supportive and inspirational as I do.

I've been out of town for a couple of days and couldn't remember my totals for the week; sorry, for being a little late.
Walking 265 minutes 18.8 miles
Core, weights and cardio 180 minutes

Have a great week Triple D's.:cheer2:

Wow I just checked the spreadsheet and realized I have been a slacker. I need to report my miles and time for 3 weeks.

W/E 3/28 - 5.6 miles and 1 hr 25 mins (85 mins)
W/E 4/4 - 11.1 miles and 3 hrs 2 min (182 minutes)
W/E 4/11 - 13.6 miles and 3 hours 1 min (181 minutes)

Sorry for being such a slacker. I just have to say that Donald's Defiant Dashers are doing GREAT. Everyone keep up the awesome work.

Here are my weekly numbers albeit a little low from the blasted cold I had last week.

Miles 8 Time 95 min

Bill
