You mean the running stores, right? If so, I wonder that too.
I should have added in my previous post that my current shoes are not the ones I used to do the entire C25K program, or any of the times after that when I used the treadmill. I had another pair that I also bought last year that were my "treadmill only shoes". They were New Balance. They are the ones that I actually tore my Achilles in, and after that happened I never ran in them again.
My current shoes though have about 210 miles on them.
Ahhhhhh. When we first were talking about running back in email I thought you had used the same pair throughout this entire time. Gotcha.
I have to throw my two cents in here. I was always a little leery about going to a running store, because I thought the same thing about what they might know that I didn't, but I have to say they put me in the best set of shoes I have ever had. They watched m run and listened to what I had to say. I think I tried on 10 different pairs of shoes that day. Highly recommend the running store or if you are in the Norfolk area Running etc. I should get paid for that little plug.
Thanks everyone for he well wishes on the knee, it feels a little better today, but definitely not running worthy. I am not happy about it, but I will take it easy through the weekend. Will focus on upper body and maybe depending on how I feel maybe some eliptical work on Sunday. Hopefully I can get this injury out of the way and not have it bother me as I get closer to Disney.
What is the name of the store? Running etc.??
So that means you won't be able to do the 10K this weekend?
