TGIF!! I love heading into the weekend and knowing we can sleep in for the next two days...
My hip/back pain is continuing to improve. I keep using the heating pad, that really seems to help.
Carissa~Of course I remember those phone calls! And you wanna hear something crazy?? I JUST a couple weeks ago used up the last calling card I had bought to call you back then!! LOL! Can you believe I managed to save it all this time? I just kept forgetting to use it, but finally I was about to call my brother and remembered.
My running shoes are these Asics:

I don't really know if they are actually right for me. I've had all these injuries over this first year of running, but then I've also been just fine running in them, so who knows. After I tore my Achilles last August, I put extra supports in them, and they definitely help. In fact, last week I decided to do a run without them to see if I still needed them, and my Achilles started to hurt a little! For the next run I put them back in, and it was fine! So what I do know is that I need that extra support, and I also know that I need to get a half size larger next time due to my toes hitting the end of the shoes.
Joe~Root canal...hmmm, I think I'd rather have what I did! lol Hope you're ok!
For the corral thing... I've read that you can email your proof of time in, not sure the specifics on that. Or you can just take it to the Expo like Augie said. Before this years race I read about people who submitted proof ahead of time, but they were still given high bib numbers, so they had to go to Runner's Relations at the Expo anyway. So I'm thinking I'll just take it to the Expo.
As for time, all I know is that you need proof for an estimated finish of under 2:45. I don't know how they take a 10K time to determine a Half time though...if they just use the exact same pace, or a formula that gives a longer half time, you know? I have read many posts about what corral people were put in and their est. finish time, but there seem to be inconsistencies. I just don't want to be in the last corral. So I figure with a 65 minute 10K time, that should get me out of it.
Dan~Oh no! So sorry about the knee!! I hope it isn't anything serious and heals up fast. I had what I think was "runner's knee" back in December. I took a week off of running to let it heal. Fortunately it did and I was able to get back into training before the WDW half. Take it easy!
Renee~My junky garage treadmill can not go any lower than a 1.5 degree incline! I have found that running on an incline on a treadmill is not like running outside on real hills for me at all. It is harder! Maybe because I also find that my running form is different on the treadmill (which is another reason why I don't like using treadmills anymore).
Sorry about the curling incident...at least you could laugh at yourself. lol
Sharon~Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great trip!

That's terrific about the rib, woohoo!
Emily~What a great mom taking in a Happy Meal.

I hope your run goes well!
Augie~You can have my junky garage treadmill. lol You haul it, you can have it free of charge!
Rich~I know, I hope the Duck injuries don't continue!!
Hang in there with the snow. Sunny, warm days WILL come!
