Has anyone been here before? I'm considering it but have heard mixed things. We're going in Sept with my 1 y.o. and 4 y.o. sons. We are trying to decide between breakfast here or at Rain Forest Cafe at AK. Thanks for any help.

Rainforest--might be too noisy for little ones. It can be quite intense.

Donald's--my least favorite of character breakfasts--on our visit, the characters were hurried, the servers seemed overwhelmed, and the food was average at best. We skip this one.

Of the two, I'd take rainforest if you think the little one can handle it.

Thanks for the info. What you said is exactly what I have read other places! I think we will skip it and do the Rain Forrest for breakfast. I was thinking the Rain Forrest would be less crowded in the morning as opposed to lunch or dinner.

We really enjoyed Breakfastasaurus. We had only one very crowded, very rushed experince. After some thought I learned that "my mistake" was to book this on an AM EMH day. Now I avoid that at all cost and I have never again experienced rushed characters or extremly large crowds. As far as breakfast goes this is my favorite after 1900 Park Fair.

We really enjoyed this breakfast. I booked a 10:15 or 10:30 PS. It seemed crowded at first but we were seated in one of the side rooms - I thought the food was pretty good and the character interaction great. They kind of "blew" through - stopped for a hello and a picture then on to the next table. Some may call this rushed. It was enough characters too!

You know, I almost missed out on this great breakfast last year due to the mixed reviews but we gave it a try and were so glad we did. It was one of our favorite breakfasts. The food was outstanding, service great, got us into the park early (8:05 seating) and they even gave us coffee to go. Character interaction was great, and we saw them all. I was very happy with this meal and will go back. I encourage you to try it.

I would definitely recommend Donald's Breakfastosaurus! We had a wonderful time there in December. We had 10:20 PS - had to wait about 10 minutes, but the food was good and I didn't think the characters were rushed at all. In fact, we didn't get "whole family" picture with Mickey the first time he came by because DD9 was getting food, so when she came back, the CM asked Mickey to come back in our room for another picture and he did, no problems. I think the theming would be perfect for your DS's. You read so many reviews on here that its hard to decide. I think you really need to try things for yourself to see if you like it!

We almost didn't go because of the mixed reviews with more leaning toward the bad. If we didn't "brave it" and go anyway, we would have missed out on a great breakfast with even better character interaction.... AND... the waitstaff also get into the "antics" which made it even more fun...... We went at that 10-10:30 window also. The cold foods were cold, the hot were hot and the food was plentiful. They were filling up the hot buffet table up till the end of breakfast time so the food was fresh.

I'd say, go and make your own judgments.

We enjoy Donalds but love the Crystal Palace

With the 4yr old DS he will likely love Donalds. My DS is now 12 and still is crazy over anything dino related.

The food is okay nothing real special but it is still quite good. In fact I thought it was great until I tried the CP breakfast.

I would make it for the 1st ADR which is what we have done to very good success. The last time we did this (on an EMH morning) we saw the characters multiple times and never felt rushed.

Have fun and enjoy!!!!

We also loved Donalds. We had an 8:00 ADR and were not rushed or anything. The food and character interaction was great, too.

I have only been to RFC for lunch and dinner, so no advice on breakfast there.

We have also had nothing but great experiences at Donald's. We always go early, so we can be out at the opening of AK. The food has always been fresh and hot, and the staff for each room have always been very helpful in making sure that we got plenty of pictures/autographs etc.

We also book the first ADR- 8:00 and have never been rushed.... This is our favorite meal..... Even dh who could care less where we eat for all other meals reminds me to book this one.

I have not been there yaet, but I do have an ADR for our June trip :thumbsup2 . After reading all the mixed reviews I decided the best plan would be to get the earliest seating (8:00 am, boy that's early) in order to get the freshest food and not be so rushed. I do think that a picture, hug, "how do you do?"and autograph is enough time with the characters. I have one son who would be fine with a wave and hello. It seems that every restaraunt gets mixed reviews so only you can decide. Most important, have a great trip :cool1:
