we are planning on doing the dolphinaris excursion and the dolphin kids for our 4 year old. I’m wanting to buy the photo package with all pictures and video. We’ve done it when I was a kid and my mom doesn’t remember. Does anybody know how much for 3 people it would cost for the photo package?

I did the dolphin encounter with DD (age 5) recently, the digital photo package was $160 for 2 people. Eventually, it went down to $110 after I said it was too much. I wasn't offered video.

Do you already know about the Groupon deals? Direct through Dolphinaris also seems to lower their prices closer to the date. Age 5 and under is free, I didn't even have to pay her entrance fee to Chankanaab. So we ended up paying $50 (with 20% off Groupon deal) for the encounter (not swim), which I thought was an awesome deal. It even included a buffet lunch, which I didn't realize so we already ate. They also threw in a short manatee encounter, though I don't know if that's always the case.

When I went as a child they had video as well. We are doing the swim. I am so nervous about not booking excursions through DCL

I don't think you can book a 5 year old through DCL? The taxi there and back was pretty easy. It was $12 one-way and fares are posted clearly (I also confirmed verbally with the driver). The ride is short, 10 minutes maybe. The driver going there did try to get us to go somewhere else, but I just told him we already had reservations. If you go the taxi route, remember to bring exact change. The driver said he didn't have change for a $20 (not sure if I believe him), so we had to go buy something at the gift shop to get change.

You can pre purchase from the website directly. Also you can book directly with them at a large savings. Easy walk even with young ones.

Yes you can book 3 and up through DCL website. It’s called something like dolphinaris kids. I am very hesitant about not booking through DCL. Because if the excursion runs late the boat will leave you, where as if you book through DCL the boat waits for you.

I think I’m going to stick with my gut and book through DCL just in case the excursion runs late, we aren’t left in Mexico.

Using the service from DCL will take longer, cost more and be more cramped.

If you walk to the venue. Like I said it’s a short walk even with young ones. You arrive and check in.

I like to save money where we can. That’s all.

OP - Sorry I was confused, scratch everything I wrote! We went to Dolphin Discovery in Chankanaab National Park, NOT Dolphinaris.

Dolphinaris does look very walkable, Google maps says 11 minutes walk. The cruise ship pier that Disney uses is Punta Langosta, if you want to check out the walk virtually on Google maps.

Oh goodness our 4 year old would never make an 11 minute walk. LOL
