Ok, I asked in the resort area too :) Going April/May next year, would like a water slide, and convenience (so sky liner would be nice), price wise, POP is cheapest, CBR is the most expensive! But there could be discounts come out. I don't think Dolphin would get a discount and am not sure I could change a package booked there. Kiddo is voting for CSR, I'm wondering if CBR Is worth the extra money for being a SkyLiner. We've stayed at POP, ASMo, AoA and once at Yacht Club (which is way out of budget now). I want to book. Got a giftcard all ready to go :) ahh! what to do...

I was at Caribbean Beach recently and it was a mixed bag. The resort itself was looking gorgeous, including the lobby, the pools, the grounds, etc. But the rooms themselves were looking a bit shabby. Clean, but just nicks and bruises in the furniture, that kind of thing.

That said, the Skyliner is AMAZING. Really really incredible.

it’s really so subjective. Pop and CSR don't appeal to me. We have CBR booked for Aug, it was our first onsite resort and we liked it back then so looking forward to returning. Kinda sad what they did to the food court though. But good thing Riviera is nearby!
I‘d like to try Dolphin one day. You can get room discounts there thru Sheraton and points.

If going next spring, and depending on your numbers,I would keep an eye open for dvc points for rent.I look for 15/point or less.So worth it imo,in more ways than 1

our most recent trip was feb 2020. we stayed at AKL, but used the sky liner a couple times. i loved it so much, i am pretty sure our next trip will be to a sky liner hotel! so convenient and it makes transportation fun.

so in your shoes, i would vote CBR or POP.

i think water slides are only at moderates and above? so if that’s a deal breaker, i would go CBR.

when i have been torn between resorts, we’ve priced out the options and made a list for what else the $$ difference could cover. a special activity or souvenir? a great meal, a longer trip, etc? i don’t mind spending the money, but i’m all about value.

We stayed at the Swan last trip and LOVED it. Pool area is gorgeous and there is a slide. Walking to two parks and having the friendship boats and the Boardwalk area right there is amazing. I am pro Swan and Dolphin all the way . But it’s a nicer more upscale feeling at Swan and Dolphin.

Sometimes you’re looking for over the top Disney and Pop provides that . I’ve stayed at CSR three times but not since the tower went in . They too have a great pool and slide that my son LOVED when he was younger .

CBR would be great for the Skyliner but I’m not a fan of the resort to be honest . Felt a little rundown last time I was there , but I realize that’s purely subjective. I’m also seriously claustrophobic and the last time we were near the skyliner it went down and people were stuck for over an hour above us and that would do me in.

My vote for me would be the Dolphin for sure but your son is younger and may want a little more theme.

Thanks for all the input. So far kiddo wants CSR, he wanted POP for the skyliner but the idea of a waterslide was better. I did tell him CBR would be more money, we could afford it but it might mean buying less stuff on the trip, and he voted CSR. So. We'll find a time to take the skyliner. And I may change my mind and go with Dolphin. I just want a trip so badly... like most of us do I'm sure. I'm also now worried about my December cruises so need something to look forward to that we'll be vaccinated for sure for.

I am also hoping discounts will come out for moderates at some point. It is sad because last fall I got a PIN for this year but of course, couldn't use it. It was a nice discount too, but probably never get one again lol. Honestly though, I wanted to try something different, we've stayed at POP twice and since this will be almost two weeks, I wanted a bit bigger room, and the waterslide at the pool for non-park time. Not that we don't like POP and I'm sure we will stay there again.

The buses are CBR are also far from great... We haven't stayed at CSR yet (first time booked for March '22) so can't comment on that. But the buses at CBR, ugh...

At least POP only has 1 bus stop

I do remember when leaving the parks that the POP bus stop was sooooo far, most of the other resorts were closer, with the Deluxe being closest of course.

CSR was a family favourite for a long time. We have so many great memories staying there. Our children loved the pool area and the slide. Excellent bus service too. Have a wonderful trip!

When we were last at CBR in 2019, the CBR bus stop at MK was the second farthest one there.

My vote goes to the Dolphin and I have never even stayed there yet.
I need you to go and then give us a review on it.:)

Dolphin. It’s like Yacht Club but in your budget.

I can only speak to POP and CBR.
POP you get the feel of being immersed in the Disney bubble as the themeing is all around. Food Court is good for a value (even some Moderate) resorts. Shuttle are not too bad and you can walk to the skyliner (which has long queues at times at the hubs)

CBR is laid back, quieter and less Disney themeing. But we did not enjoy the food, the food court was not up to par. We did not try Sebatian's. Spyglass Grill is where we got a quick bite for breakfast or lunch before parks and it was ok. Pirate rooms were cool, thats where we stayed. And the skyliner hub is right there too. Buses seem to take longer here though.

If it was only down to the 2 I would think that the kids might enjoy POP better and the adults might appreciate CBR for the quiet. Just my 2 cents
