OK, been back on Dollar's website and put in my October dates again and yep all the choices are there....each different type of car with either Fully Inclusive, Platinum or Platinum plus are showing.

What dates are you looking at?

As for the 2 email thing. I just see it as they have sent the emails in the wrong order....

The email we have all received 2nd says that we have to wait for the confirmation. The 1st email we all recieved was the confirmation. I don't see an issue. It is the confirmation/vouncher that you need which we all now have...!

Doh, I never thought of it that way, sounds perfectly reasonable they were just too quick with the voucher. Hope you are correct:thumbsup2
 
Certainly not trying to put the dampners on this wonderful deal but the 2nd email I received was actually from a person i.e. not just a computer generated voucher and I wonder if an actual person checks the reservation after its been made and then confirms the booking.
I personally would call just to check my booking was ok but seeing as the deals have been there for almost 24 hours you would think if it was a pricing error Dollar would of realised by now.
My voucher also came throught before the 2nd ''actual person'' email and the 2nd email was the one that said ''your booking has been checked and confirmed with payment''.

But BOO HOO for me :sad1: I was pretty happy with my usrentacar quote yesterday (£568 for 18 days) until I saw the deals you are all bagging :sad:

Anyone point me in the right direction for the deal of the century for Feb? 15th to the 5th March, a big SUV. We would prefer to go through Dollar though so I guess that narrows down my options.....

I don't think it's a price error, just an offer. It shows the usual price, plus the 'deal of the day' price. I have only had one of three bookings actually confirmed with the voucher to take to the airport, but the bookings were only made a couple of hours ago, so fingers crossed, the others will follow soon.

I was referring to Waynes original comments back on Page 1. Also to the fact that some have recieved emails to say, as yet, the booking is not confirmed.
 
One other thing, when checking for your confirmation voucher, look down your emails. Mine were came through as sent at 8:06 this morning, so they were way down the page under the emails I had received since that time. In fact, they came though sometime after 1pm, so I can only assume the time was US time, hence them not appearinng as the newest emails I had (if that makes sense!). Could easily have missed them I hadn't scrolled down for something else.

Thay have correct(new) prices online now, our booking has gone up from £282.86 to 370.76 GBP Inclusive, up £87.90

Still not correct as the SUV quote above is less than a full size 2 dr 424.56 GBP Looks like they have made a complete mess of this.

Dont think they will honour any of the bookings, hope no one has cancelled other reservations and lost deposits etc. Not good for Dollar customer services, if they do cancel, I will not be booking with Dollar!
 
I have been sent the actual confirmed voucher for one of the bookings, the other two just say they need to check availability of the vehicles before sending the voucher. I have read what has been said on the DIBB, so wait to see how this pans out. GL everyone!
 
I only booked this afternoon. The voucher says paid 22 Jan 2010. My Email also says my credit card has been debited. Ther is nothing about it only being a quotation.

I'll see what happens over the weekend. I only booked now because it was a good deal.
