We'll be arriving at Disney on July 3rd and staying until the 10th. I guess I need some strong ideas on what's GREAT to see and do. We'll have a 9 & 10 year old with us.

I have made plans for the poly luau for July 6th.

I still need to make PS for CRT and Chef Mickeys. What about Planet Hollywood and Hardrock Cafe? Do I need to make PS for those as well?

What kind of specil 4th of july things go on and what should we NOT miss out on??

Thanks

WELL BE THERE 3 - 12 TOO! TRY THE TEPPAYAKI STEAKHOUSE IN JAPAN IN EPCOT, AND OHANAS! ::MickeyMo C YA THERE

We will be there the 3rd til the 8th. This is our first time for the 4th of July.

Where should we watch the fireworks from?

I have NO idea! I've been trying to ask people that too!

I've heard if you go to the Polynesian resort theyw ill allow you to stay on their beach if you eat that their restaurant.

We've decided we're going to watch either MK or Epcot.

If you guys hear of anywhere good, please let me know, lol

I'm sure anywhere we go will be good. I'd kind of like to see them from MK. Just because.. the castle would be pretty

Visit AK during the day...they could possibly open an hour earlier than the "official" hours on the website say...ask at the Customer Service area of your resort. Since this is the only park w/o nightime activities...there won't be huge crowds!!! Have a great time!!!

FYI...we had a PS at Ohana's and watched MK fireworks on the 4th. Our server suggested it (but I already knew about it from DIS). We are planning on going next year over the 4th..and we are staying at the Poly!!! My DH really liked it.

Let us know about the Luau...oh, and you'll be there on my birthday!!!

Hi thanks for the tip confirmation.

Do you think you had a good view of the fireworks? ANd how late of a dinner did you have to book to be able tos tay for fireworks?

Since we arrive from the ship on Saturday the 3rd, I was thinking about going to Epcot that day. For the 4th we were going to try EE(just because we need to see the castle) at MK then maybe MGM. On Monday I think it will be AK, because I have heard MK is pretty bad on Mondays too, then FINALLY MK on Tuesday? Who knows, I have all kinds of plans running thru my head including O'Hanas and viewing the fireworks from there.

I read on the Holiday section of the DIS that the characters are suppose to be dressed in Patriotic attire at Epcot for the 4th.

you don't need a reservation to watch the fireworks there, even on the 4th. Just show up like everyone else, but take Disney transportation because they probably won't let you park there. The beach is wall to wall people, though.

We will be there on the 4th.

After much debating and going back and forth, we finally decided to go to Epcot for the celebration.

We might even hit MGM early that day, since I have read here that it is usually empty.

As for fireworks from the Poly, we watched them from the beach after dinner at Kona Cafe last August. Suggested by our server.
They were breathtaking. The reflection over the water just added to the feeling you get watching the MK fireworks.
You can't go wrong watching them from the beach.
(We also watched them from the Contemporary boat dock and they were spectacular from there as well.)

I'm a rookie at this as my name suggests, but after doing lots of reading, I've decided we should see Illuminations at Epcot on the 4th.

That will ensure a view over the water (lagoon) and it sounds really spectacular. We're having dinner in Mexico and hoping to grab some seats at the lagoon side table of Cantina de San Angel.

I'm thinking Margueritas and fireworks have to be great together.

Can hardly wait!

I agree, after much thought we have decided to watch the fireworks from Epcot. From what we hear, MK is wall to wall people.:earseek:

i'm there the 1st-10th! i stay at the floridian and feel that its the best place to view the fireworks. i also know in the past my resort has children activites such as luggage cart decorating and a mini-parade. there is usually a poolside bbq!
