I'm sorry if it as been post before, but I haven't seen any questions about it! I was wondering if we could bring our dog at the camp fire and the movie and also on the beach to the electrical water pageant? Where the dog aren't allowed? pluto: That dog doesn't even know she's treate better than some human are!

Sorry,....pets are to be kept in the pet loops and pet walk areas. :thumbsup2

AND the pet park, but I'm still not sure how you get them there since the pet loops have signs saying no dogs allowed past this point. I guess smuggling is a way :lmao:

Another Disney Idea gone bad in the last 10 years or so. Just like the bus map at the Front Desk Bus Stop that still says you can get a bus to TTC from there ... when did that go away, 5 or 6 years ago or more. :rotfl2:

It's my understanding that you ARE allowed to walk your dogs along the main road (to get to the dog park) and in the pet loops. You may not take your dog into any of the public areas or non pet loops. I think I've read that you aren't even supposed to take your dogs for a walk in other pet loops...but I don't know why that would be a problem. :confused3

Actually, just recently (ok like a year ago) they stopped the TTC bus. But I do know it ran for quite a while last summer because I rode it a lot.
And the pet walk area is back behind the 300 loop. I stayed there one time, ohh so long ago, and remember seeing the signs to it. The other option is to have one person drop you off in the 300 loop and then park the car back at the site or if it's a golf cart at the settlement and walk back to the walking area.

Genhand what kind of dog do you have ? You'll see plenty of people walking their dogs just not over by any main attractions.pluto:

Not sure where you heard you couldn't walk your dog in other pet loops. At least in the 1600-1900 area, there is no restriction about which pet loop you are allowed to walk in. In fact, if you are in the 1700 or 1900 loop, the only way to access the pet walk area near the canal is to go into the 1600 or 1800 loops.

Regardless of what other people may do, pets are supposed to be restricted to the designated pet areas.

Actually it's my mom's dog and she as an americain cocker name "Muscade". She's beautiful and very kid friendly (my kids are 2 and 4 and the dog is 3 years old so has seen kids before and she's use to have her ears pulled!) But we understand and we are very respectfull of those things since we want to keep the privilege of being able to bring the dog with us!!!

Wow I didn't knew that breed. I google it and it's very nice. Wikipedia even says taht they are very outgoing dog like cocker and intelligent like poodles!!! When I babysit my mom's dog, I find that often the problem is not the dog but the children who tries to pet her that don't know what to do and just pet the dog without any "presentation". I'm teatching my kids to ask before touching any dog and to let the dog smell them before and to never touch a dog's head!!! So they never been bitten by any dog or growl by one.

Someone posted it once here that it was in the pet guidelines when they checked in. I thought it sounded strange...:confused3

Hi all,

Yup, Shannone1 is correct. I just stayed there in Feb. and if you look along the main road next to the sidewalk you'll see a Disney marked paw print sign that shows you the path to the dog park. The path nor the signage or the dog park was explained to us upon check-in nor as it on the map they give you at check-in. So, we had to look for the signage and we knew where to look for the dog park near the playground at the 300 loop thanks to our friends here.
Now that said, my BT's wouldn't walk all the way from our site in the 800 loop over to the 300 loop and I am not carrying a 21 pound dog, so we probably won't be visiting the dog park. Pretty much you should plan on keeping your pet in your loop unless your loop is next to another pet loop. For instance, we stayed at 800 and their was a pet walk over to the 600 loop in the dog walk area along the canal so we did walk them over there. Also the 1600, 1700, 1800 and 1900 loops are pretty much connected also by a main road, so you could easily walk them around there as well. Just remember to be courtious by not walking through other people's sites (stick to the side of the road), pick up after your pet, keep them on a leash and only let them be walked by someone who can handle your pet (I can't tell you how many little kids I've seen lately that are being dragged around by a big dog) and don't let them near another pet unless you have spoken to the owners first and asked permission. I would also bring their shot record, for some stupid reason it's not required by the fort anymore, but just incase their is an issue I would think you'd wanna have all your ducks in a row so to speak. I don't even take my pets to our local home store without verifiaction that they have had all their shots.
Pets are pretty much not allowed anywhere expect the pet loops and the dog park. They are not allowed at the comfort station, campfire program, petting farm/barn area, gift shops (trading posts), Pioneer hall, boat docks, etc. Pretty much anywhere a non-pet person would be. LOL! Matter of fact, I have yet to find anywhere on Disney property that's not in the campground that allows pets either. Hope this helps....
