I tried to purchase tickets over the Delta website about a month ago but was having difficulty. I ended up calling Delta directly and the tech told me that Delta was having trouble with their system. He took my info, cc info and confirmed our flight. HOWEVER, I noticed that Delta had not yet taken the money out of my account. I wrote Delta and then called directly. The agent told me that their was a problem with cc verification( not a new card at all) and said my bill to address did not match the address I gave them) This is the first time this has ever happened. I guess she said they would need to do this manually and the money would be settled within the week. I should be happy, I guess, that the money is in my account collecting interest for me but I don't want to have problems when I am trying to board the plane in August. I just like my checkbook to check out. Happen to anyone else???

I would call Delta again and have them check on it. You may not have tickets since your card wasn't charged.

When I called initially, the agent told me that we did have the tickets. I also have a confirmation when I log into my skymiles account.

Sometime something as simple as your middle initial on the credit card or using ZIP+4 instead of just zip code can mess up CC transactions.

When I use a CC over the internet, I have a bill in my hand and enter it EXACTLY as my mailing address on the bill.

Never have a problem that way.

That's strange but I would call again. I had something similiar happen and when we got to the airport to check in there wasn't any record even though I had a confirmation number. Call every day if you have to.

Update: It's all set! I can relax now. I am so glad I got the tickets, because they are currently going for $310 a piece!
