Does your cat do this?

M Then at 4am (I kid you not- it is like clock work that he does this) he runs to me on the bed, smacks me across the face and takes off.

My cat doesn't do this because she's mad at me, she does this so I'll walk her into the kitchen to turn on the light so she can eat. Doesn't she know she can see in the dark??? :confused3 Only thing is, she does this EVERY night around 3:00 - 4:00..... comes up to me and sticks her paw in my ear!!! :scared1: How did she know that the thing I hate most in the whole wide world is to have someone touch my ears????

No, mine sits on the kitchen table (her bowl is on the table so the 2 dogs don't eat her wet food in one bite) and "yells" at me. Sabrina is a Scottish Fold and has chosen me as her human. She won't eat cold food, won't eat food she doesn't like and sits on the table and yells at me until I change her food. Of course, I don't change her food, DH (the dogs' human) always gives her something else. And she doesn't quit until it's changed. Me, I leave. DH is the softy. :)

My cat gets fed twice a day- the morning DH feeds him and that's because Chase has him so trained. He walks around DH as he's getting ready for work (this is at 5am, mind you- as soon as he hears the tv go on he starts) meowing until DH feeds him. He won't stand at the closet where his food is because he can open the door himself- he just can't get into the food because it is in storage bins.

Does anyone else's cat punish them? When I go away- and this is just me, no one else in the family is as close to him as I am- he ignores me when I come home but greets everyone else. Then at 4am (I kid you not- it is like clock work that he does this) he runs to me on the bed, smacks me across the face and takes off. He's 6 1/2 and he's done this since he was allowed to roam the house. We recently got a new golden retriever puppy and I was sleeping on a air mattress in the kitchen until the puppy got used to her new home( Yes, I am that pathetic- Dh calls me mommy-sucker) After nearly a week of sleep this way (with the pup curled up next to me) my cat had enough and two nights in a row he snuck up to us in the airmattress and leaned over me to swipe at the puppy! My cat is so weird!:scared1:

we have a feeder that is timed. Our cat will sit in front of it for five minutes before it goes off. He hits it with his paw the whole time.:rotfl2:

Now on the punishing part that is our cat. When DD comes home from college he snubs her. Then he will run over an bite her ankle. :rotfl2:
he hates when anyone leaves him.

My cat's a "punisher" as well. Once, after getting home from a trip to WDW (he'd had to go stay with my dad while I was gone), I'd started unpacking a bit and realized I needed milk & stuff from the store, so I went. Upon getting back home, I discovered the extent of Rowan's anger--he'd seized one of my Disney souvenirs--a black Mickey antenna topper--and rendered it roughly 47,000 bits o' Mickey, all over the living room rug. I did think it was pretty smart of him to have selected something that I'd brought home from the trip he'd been excluded from to destroy, but still. :headache:

And back to the feeding-behaviors thing-- he's come up with a surefire way to let me know when his automatic waterer is empty. His food and water are normally in a room toward the back of the apartment, but he'll drag the waterer all the way out to the living room to ensure that I notice it when I get home from work.
