Does WDW still charge for Valet Parking?

Do you still have to pay for valet parking (over and above tips) if you are a hotel guest? If so, how much?

yes, it is 6 dollars but you can use it any any resort on Disney. I used it every day, those walks on a hot day to AK fir dinner or the BW just to walk around at night is a long long walk. It is well worth the money

And if you are a DVC member, you can valet park for free at WL, BC or BW. But you still need to tip the valet.

Also, I believe you only have to pay for valet parking once in a day (that it's transferable to other resorts).

So if you Valet park at BW in the morning and pay your $6, you should be able to Valet part at WL in the afternoon for free, by showing your ticket/receipt from the AM parking.

This is ONLY the Valet fee - of course, you should always tip at all locations.

I vaguely recall a poll on perhaps the DVC Board addressing this. If memory serves, most of the responses ranged from as low as $1 on pickup or dropoff to $2 on each (total of $4), with the plurality tipping $2 per drive (either both dollars at pickup or dropoff, or one at each).

I've always tipped $1 for each pick-up and drop-off, FWIW.

downtown disney doesn't have valet parking. And I wouldn't complain about 6 dollars. The Ritz Carlton is 15 dollars and 8 dollars for self park.

At the Marriott in Downtown Pittsburgh, they charge valet by the hour. 24 hours is $22!

Yes, it's $6, but considering it's transferable to any resort, that's cheap. I was just in Seattle and the hotel I stayed at only had valet parking - and they charged $25 before tax and tip. That was a rip off.

DTD had valet services 3 years ago. Is this something they did away with recently?

Also, if I valet park at WL when I arrive and don't move my car for 3 days. Do I get charged for every day that the truck sits in the valet lot. Please explain how this works because I will be using my truck but not everyday.

6 bucks plus whatever tip you deem suitable

stayed at contemporary 8th to 15th of june - did the valet parking thing - frankly the pakring lot wasn't that far away anyway and I did park there once... but hey I was putting on the ritz this trip - spoilin the heebee geebees out of my little girl - so concierge, valet, PS's through the wazoo...etc

Yes, you will be charged $6.00 for every day even if it is just sitting there.

Forgive me for being ignorant on this matter, but are you charged for parking if you self park at the deluxes?

Nope. As long as you are a guest of that resort you can self park for free to your hearts content.

If you travel to another WDW resort and self park you can self park there for free as well, although they'll give you a three hour parking permit and they can and do tow those who overstay the three hours.
