or free shuttle service. We're thinking of extending our Disney trip a few days and spending them at US/IOA/?Seaworld?. We're trying to figure out the best way to do it - where to stay, and transportation. I saw some where on these boards that the Universal Hotels (or at least 1 of them) offer(s) free transportation to Seaworld. Is that correct or did I misunderstand? What about transportation to US/IOA? Where can I find information about these services - if they exist?

There are, as I understand and am planning to use, free shuttles from the Universal Hotels to Seaworld and back. The Universal hotels themselves are on site and you can walk from all three to and from the parks, or take the short water taxi ride. If doing a couple of days at Universal, there is nothing like staying on site and using the front of the line passes. It costs a little more, but you will see how easy it is to get spoiled by the FOTL.

thanks :teeth: I wasn't sure about the walking distance, it's hard to tell from the maps. Where can I find info about the transportation to seaworld, and water taxis? I like to know how things work before I'm experiencing them.

I got my info from these boards. We went to Universal and IOA last October, but didn't go to Seaworld then as we are this trip. I'm sure someone will answer with more knowledge soon, or you could call the hotels prior for the info. Have a great trip. PS The parks are about a 10 minute walk from the hotel or, as I said, you can take the water taxi. They have scenic garden paths to walk on and its all on site, no highways or roads to cross.

Just checked, there is a thread also going on the Universal resorts board on the same topic which may provide more information for you.

The free shuttle to Sea World services all three on site Universal hotels. The schedule changes depending on the time of year.
The Hard Rock Hotel is a five minute walk to Universal Studios and maybe 8-10 minute walk to Islands of Adventure. The Royal Pacific is just a bit longer walk. The Portofino is even a longer walk, but all three hotels have water taxis that go back and forth all the from the hotel to City Walk. It's SOOOOOO easy to get around Universal!
