It's a sentiment I've seen more than a few times on other Disney boards and it's quite alarming. Around the same time each year there are increasing numbers of comments about the kinds of guests people see during the 2fer promotion.
Common complaints are a general increase in rudeness, an increasing number of "ghetto" people in the park, and an increasing number of people breaking rules. The idea is that the promotion attracts lower income familes that in turn make life harder for frequent Disney visitors and many of these comments come from annual passholders.
Historically I have not noticed any increase in rudeness during the 2fer promotion and the logic seems a bit silly to me. First of all, despite the promotion, a 2fer is not cheap. It's $66, which is the same as a 1-day admission to Disneyland. You get DCA for free, and only on another day. In fact, many people don't even use their free day at DCA, essentially paying normal price for a 1-day visit to Disneyland.
In my experience, many of my friends took advantage of the 2fer promotion, and none of them ended up going to DCA so they didn't really save any money.
Do you notice any increase in rudeness during the 2fer promotion? Are the comments about "riff-raff" in the parks elitist? Classist? Or are there in fact an increased number of lower-income families descending upon Disneyland during the off-season and bringing in outside food, changing diapers on park benches, and letting their children pee in bushes?
In my opinion, no more than the rest of the year.
