We are currently booked at BWV for Presidents Week. We absolutely love BWV, but I thought it might be nice to give another resort a try. I was thinking of switching to SSR at the 7 month window if we can get in. Just curious if they have any dedicated 2 BRs, or are they all a 1 BR with a studio, like at BWV? Anyone willing to make any other comparisons between the two resorts? My boys will be 14 and 16 by the time we go; what kind of appeal does SSR have for kids in this age group?
Thanks!

Yes, SSR does have dedicated 2 bedroom units. BWV is the only resort NOT to have any dedicated 2 bedrooms.

Can't help w comparisons - haven't tried SSR.

Best wishes-

they are little too old to need the dedicated aren't they?

anyway being able to walk over to DisneyQuest in DD. they are little young to enjoy PI.

SSR is much more spread out than BWV. BWV is pretty spread out but it is all inside. SSR is outside.

I do know that SSR has dedicated 2 bedroom units, but what I don't know is if they have 2 beds in them. I think they do. I assume that is why you want a dedicated, so your kids can each have a bed.

Had a SSR 2 bedroom last August and there were 2 queen beds in the second bedroom.

Thanks to all for the information. When I ran this by DH at dinner tonight, his eyes almost bugged right out of his head when I suggested we stay somewhere other than BWV! Not sure what we'll do but at least I have a couple of weeks to decide.

At the risk of sounding dumb, I'm not sure what this comment means? Too old to each get their own queen size bed as opposed to a bed and a pull-out? I swear I'm not being smart alecky, I just don't understand how they are too old?

Usually the questions about the dedicated bedrooms are from parents with younger children who have concerns about the second bedroom having an outside access door. But then parents of teens might have the same concerns but for different reasons.

SSR does have dedicated 2 bedrooms and they do have 2 queen beds. It is a wonderful resort with a great pool and the Downtown Disney location is a fun one.

Sammie - Thanks for clearing that up; that never even crossed my mind! I was truly looking at it from a comfort standpoint - 2 beds vs. 1 bed and sleeper sofa, and I wasn't sure if this was an option at SSR. Now I know!

Every SSR building (and there are 7 or 8 of them open now) has 20 dedicated 2Bs. Each of these units has the two queen beds in the second bedroom and a very large closet where the kitchenette would be in a studio.

sorry I should have explained further.

Yes SSR has a dedicated 2-bedroom.

However BCV does too - only 25 of them. (the ones that have 2 queen beds - yes there are more dedicated) but if you like the BW area.
