Does MNSSHP make the other parks noticeably busier?

We have just confirmed that we are going on an unexpected trip to WDW this year with our neighbors. We are all really looking forward to it.

We will be there from 9/30-10/7, and there are 2 or 3 nights during that week where the MNSSHP is happening. We are trying to decide whether or not to go. Our neighbors have said that they are not going to, as they have three young children, and it'll just be too much for the youngest two.

So, my wife and I were trying to decide if we want to go. We went last year and we all (6 yr old DD included) liked it. However, it isn't one of those things that we absolutely feel the need to do, and I am not convinced that it is worth the extra money for what we did.

My question is, if we skip the MNSSHP that basically leaves MGM and Epcot as the two remaining open parks. Are they extra busy on the MNSSHP days because of this? If so, I am thinking we may want to do the party just to avoid huge crowds at the other two parks. Or, am I missing something?

Thanks,
Andy

I have not noticed huge increases in crowds at the other parks during MNSSHP. Granted some nights there are more people at MGM for the fantasmic show.
during the day of the MNSSHP it does seem to be a bit heavier crowd at MK, but only slightly bigger and usually only in Fantasyland, IMO.
Plus it usuallly depends on the day of the week, if the party was a Saturday or sunday night, there can be a big jump in attendance at MGM; I have never really noticed a big increase at Epcot, but remember the Food & wine Festival is going on at Epcot at the same time as MNSSHP and there are huge evening crowds for that event. Especially at some of the "big-name" Eat to the Beat concerts.
I would definitely go to another park while MNSSHP was on and would not worry about huge crowds.
If you have liked the MNSSHP in the past, I think you should go again, whether you neighbour goes or not.
Hope this has answered your question.
have fun.

Thanks for the advice. We are still kicking it around. It was fun last time, and maybe we'll be ready for a break from the neighbors by then anyway, and vice versa... :)

That time year is not busy overall. Just avoid "specifc event" nights. And as mentioned above, don't forget about the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot.

Sorry if that is a stupid question - but I see it on here and cannot figure it out. Thanks!
