Does anyone think that maybe Michael Jackson was murdered?

\My God, MJ was treated like he was Jesus, no one would deny him anything, just because he was famous!

Sounds to me like the doctor is the one "not all there".

Soon he'll be discussing it with Guido or Duke behind bars where he belongs.
Wonder what it's like to be the most hated man in prison these days?

I'm sorry. I am feeling really disgusted with that man today. :sad2: To think of what he took away with his carelessness makes me sick.

I know what you mean. :sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

I can't believe a medical doctor would give anyone an IV anaesthesia drip used for surgery to help someone sleep!! If MJ had such terrible imsomnia, his doctor should have had him admitted to a hospital to find the cause and treat it. If MJ wouldn't go, his family should have applied to the courts to have him committed to a hospital for observation, because anyone who thinks using surgical anaesthesia for sleeping is ok is not all there. And it's said he's been having this done for TWO YEARS?? It would have been safer for him to just wack his head against a wall every night to fall asleep! Using anesthesia to sleep has to be the most extreme thing I've ever heard in my life.

And the doctor(s) did it because he was a famous singer???? If I went to those doctors, would they have given ME the anaesthesia for my insomnia? My God, MJ was treated like he was Jesus, no one would deny him anything, just because he was famous!

No, he wasn't all there -- I used to work front line in an inner city program. I have yet to meet a drug addict who would even consider their own mortality when they're high. It's when they're coming off the drugs or needing more that they think they're going to die.

Which is why you can't sign a contract, get married or even drive a car when you're intoxicated. Even if MJ had signed a consent form, it wouldn't have been accepted as valid in a court of law. And his Dr. should have known his condition better than anybody else -- even his dermatologist admitted that MJ was a drug addict and that they had been trying to wean him off the painkillers.

I can't confirm this (although I haven't looked), but my DH told me he heard somewhere that Michael had been resuscitated at least a few times before in that time. Has anyone else heard or seen this?

I haven't heard that before. I'm not saying it isn't true but I have been following the story very closely and I haven't heard or read that anywhere.

I heard this on several news stations in the days following his death.

The doctor should go to jail. Absolutely.

Now here's a question for you:

do you think it's normal behavior for a man to ask a doctor to set his bedroom up like an operating room complete with IV drips and oxygen tanks, and ask the doctor to put him under anesthesia for 8 hours so he can sleep, and stop the drip 8 hours later?? This was his alarm clock.

I didn't read through the whole post but in answer to the OP's question.No.I don't think Michael Jackson was murdered.I think his heart just gave out from all the years of drugs being pumped into his body.
He's just one of a whole list of stars that died from too much drug use during their young lives.

I think that it was longer than 2 years. He started using Proponal (spelling?) when he was doing the THRILLER. The doctor (same one Peter Frampton had) admits giving it to him.

Remember all the press that said MJ slept in an oxygen tank ? the spin was that he didn't age by sleeping in this thing ?? MJ's people released that to the tabloids years ago. I wonder if this was a cover story in anticipation that there needed to be an explanation for all those oxygen cylinders coming in and out of that house / at the various hotels on the tours. They needed to explain it. I really think that his handlers have blood on their hands as well. It appears that this has been going on a long time.

I also think that MJ paid that stupid doctor 1M a year so he could "sleep". The doctor should have been there constantly and provided the monitoring MJ paid for. THat lazy nurse/nutritionist should have been there also. Too bad , he had such lousy care.

Oh absolutely not. Not at all. MJ should not have asked for this stuff I agree, but if doctors obeyed all the demands of every junkie where would we be? I have had horrible insomnia so I understand how desperate you get without sleep for an extended time. You dont care about normal things. You cant care. That part of your brain shuts down. Your body shuts down. Sleep is the only thing you can think about. But my doctor didnt give me an IV drip. This fixed MJ's problems! He got sleep! A doctor there to do it was going to keep him safe! Ta Da! The doctor should have had ethics and put an end to this. His greed and stupidity are why MJ is gone IMO. And yes, if he would have said no then some other doctor would have done it.... but that points to a lack of morals and ethics run-amuck in that community of professionals.

Yup. Total idiot to leave him. I bet the deal was the doc was to sit right there by that bed all night long. I hope he gets manslaughter (or worse) and then the family sues him financially for wrongful death. I'm no legal person so I have no idea if thats even possible.

Nope -- not normal behaviour. But we could probably add hypochondriasis to the list of issues MJ had -- people with that would probably feel a lot less stressed if they could just live in a hospital. He sure had a lot of issues. :scared1:

He's just one of a whole list of stars that died from too much drug use during their young lives.

If only it were that simple -- but apparently the autopsy ruled that out.

In a very strange way, I'd feel a lot better about the whole thing if he had just OD'd. This is tragedy at its finest. :scared:

Absolutely not. That's why I bolded my sentence that the doctor should go to jail, for sure.

My point was that some people seem to feel that MJ was normal, that he was a victim. I believe he was a victim of his parents, and a more troubled soul I do not know. VERY sad. But I don't believe he was a victim of any doctor. He BEGGED for these drugs, as said by his nurse. No one forced/coerced him into his behavior. His behavior was a result of him trying desperately to get relief from his inner (and probably physical) pain. But he's still responsible for his own behavior, as hard as it is to accept.

My mother is an abusive alcoholic, I believe as a result of her terrible childhood. She's desperate to drown her sorrows, and she's killing herself with drink. But it's her choice not to get help. We've been trying for 20 years. But she chooses the bar over rehab, even though she's getting worse.

I believe there were people in MJs life (Deepak Chopra, Uri Geller, Rabbi Boteach, his nurse, etc) who tried to get him to seek REAL help, which he DESPERATELY NEDED. But he refused. If he refused because he was delusional, then his family should have had an intervention to have him declared incapable of rational thought and have him committe to the best rehab hospital money could buy.
If he wasn't delusional, then MJ is 100% responsible for his own actions.

But if I could be the one to drive that doctor to jail and throw him in the cell, I would. He basically participated in a long-term assisted suicide, just because MJ was famous. He was just a man! I can't get over how a doctor would go along with the DANGEROUS AND CRAZY idea to anestisize a person to help him sleep!

So many people in all this seem to have acted inappropriately... I can't blame them for wanting to rule everything out.

His heart was fine. That was ruled out with the autopsy. That's why they couldn't state a cause of death until toxicology reports were available.

And they said it wont be this week (again). I wonder why they keep bumping it out?

The results may not have been what they were expecting, so they are having more tests run.

Could be that or maybe they are just building their case and don't want to publically release the results yet? :confused3
