Does anyone tan before they cruise?

PLEASE PEOPLE!!! STAY OUT OF THE TANNING BEDS!!! These harmful UV's are now the #1 preventable measure that causes cancer....yes, it has passed up cigarettes!!! Sorry, the "look" isn't worth skin cancer!!!!

:thumbsup2

There's so many great bake bake products out there I just don't see the need to poison your body.

I have to admit I did go to a tanning place before my first cruise 30 years ago. I turned bright red, not like a sunburn, but like a very bad skin irritation. Never did peel. Never went again.
I've found using the cheapest SPF 40 or 50 suntan lotion liberally and frequently prevents me from burning, but allows me to have enough of a tan that I look like I've been on a cruise when I get back to work.
Most of the tanning places here have gone belly up because of cancer concerns, so not sure it's even an option anymore.

I do not tan in the sun or tanning beds" which I will not use because of cnacer risks"
I usully turn red and then go back to stark white anyway. What I do is I use the self tanning cream daily for about a week and 1/2 proir to my trip then the day before we go I will do the spray on in the booth. While away I continue to use the tanning cream. This time I am also going to try the Sally Hanson "Air brush legs" It is waterproof so apparently will not come off on clothes. One prob. I did read in a review is that the nozzle clogs after the first use and you have to soak it in warm water to unclog it. Seems like a big bother but I hate looking pale and washed out. We will see how it goes!LOL
